Can I stress that selecting a light pattern is NOT about what looks "intense" from 10ft away. At a distance, where it really matters, it's *all about CONTRAST.* Color-color, or on to off. Simply alternating between red and blue is much more effective. Patterns that "dance" or look "intense" from a close range are useless and muddy at half a mile away. *A simple, medium speed red and blue half-half will get you noticed from a distance much more effectively.*

I still work the highway, but the admin, has their protocol for outfitting the sedans & SUV's, back in the day, the supervisor, or watch Commander drive a Ford, or Chevy station wagon fully marked. Your channel is quite interesting, I have pictures of police cars while I have worked,VA's well as my father, and grandfather in law enforcement. If you guys want to see the old red & blue bubblegum machine, or the red & blue night hawk, my grand father's patrol had a red like ght & siren on the driver's side fender. Most young cops don't understand the significance of always having red on the driver's side. Let me know if you are interested in knowing. The youngsters call me "Old school" because I have 33 years still on the road, my dad passes in 2015 he was 81 , and he must have really been old school cause he was still a Texas peace officer, when he passed.
