    I just discovered Lee's UA-cam channel 2 days ago. Talk about impressive! Talk about coming at the right time, just when most of my New Year's resolutions entail changes in my exercise program.
    Now comes innovation, not merely changes from my limited base of knowledge at present time.
    Attending junior high school during JFK's administration, with his new National emphasis on physical fitness, our classes in the gym on floor mats were very similar to what you see in Lee's videos.
    In those days, high bar, parallel bars and other gymnastic equipment we're still allowed. This was the era before personal claims attorneys figured out how to become instant multimillionaires.

      I'm glad you asked this question, and am equally pleased Lee answered you. 83 years old? That makes me fairly young at 72! And at age 63, you're still the child. Excess weight is easy to take off once the right habits are acquired.
      I'd love to do high-bar work like when I was a child! In the 1940s, 50s and 60s, up until the age of attorneys, small towns like Laguna Beach, California, where I grew up, had three or four high bars in the sand, plus at least two parallel bars. Now you don't find these even in parks.

    This is the power of Chinese traditional martial arts. They may not be great for fighting but are amazing for your health. Look at Jackie Chan who was a troublemaker as a kid so his parents sent him to an Opera School which was basically childrens boot camp. Jackie was so bad that his Master had him do 1 hour of handstands a day on top of traditional kung fu, training, singing, dancing, schooling and acting. However, Jackie became a legend.

      is this statement from firsthand or eye witness experience fighting or observing a traditional Chinese martial artist fight?
      Or theoretical like something the boxing, Joe Rogan, MMA, Muay Thai and internet fighting enthusiasts talk about on the internet???
      Hearsay in other words

    • @jazzyfoo
      @jazzyfoo 6 місяців тому

      @@joshuadevsimmz6396 this channel is showing you how beneficial they are, his katas are similar to any martial arts katas. I don't do kung fu only Muay Thai and casual BJJ but it's not hard to see the benefits of doing complex movements in a controlled way. It would probably be like an active stretch. Machida was a big fan of katas and still might be idk. It may not work for a fight but that doesn't mean it's useless.
