Pacific Northwest life long city boy here, Thanks Mike for sharing your knowledge about this machine. I'm sure I'll never use one, but at least I know how one is used. Things look beautiful your way, hope winter is good to your family and you....
I absolutely can not tell you how impressed I am by the way you cleaned it before returning it. The way you operated it also... Your one in a million...
I'm glad you had the opportunity to use this machine and you got the word out for Murphy Tractor and Diamond Mower for sure. WIN WIN WIN. Nice job and keep on smiling!
My sincerest sympathies Michael, but it's for the best. Momma and daddy John Deere thank you for taking such good care of their little on. Now on to the mini cabin, deer season is almost herer
333G digging thru the pile Making Mike's face hurt Because of the great big smile What a time we've had It was really great On the edge of my seat Waiting for the next Morgan date!!
Super good job with your video Mike. You did Murphy’s and John Deere and the Diamond Cutter Head justice with how they all preformed for you. Thanks to all for sharing with us too !
Excellent tip on the cleaning of the engine compartment to cutdown on the likely hood of a fire. When its time to call in the specialist ,call in the specialist
I never owned one but now I’m going to buy a 2021 331g. I got 100 acres to work on and fix. I’m paying 52,000 cash deal. I’m excited I can’t wait. Next week it will be all mine. Nice video
Very true. If you rent equipment or a machine and you don't return it clean the rental company will charge you a cleaning fee. And it must have the same amount of fuel when you picked it up or when it was delivered.
Thanks Mike for a great series of videos and the inside look at what these machines can do. I was taken by the power and effectiveness and can under stand the feeling of loss in having to return this awesome machine. I very much appreciated your cleaning the beast before you returned it. The gift of use was returned with respect and care. The Morgan’s represent the good things we Americans are all about, family, hardwork, fun, and being good stewards of the land. God bless.
"A clean machine is a happy machine, so keep this thing happy!".....the engraved plaque on my tractor at work. A nice gesture of appreciation by power washing that thing off 😁
Thank you for engraving "By and By" permanently into my brain! Took me twenty minutes to watch the beginning of the video, and another 15 to track down a copy with lyrics!
Mike - you did a Super evaluation of the equipment, clear and comprehensive. If Deere and Diamond are smart they will promote your video with potential customers since you really address the options and opportunities from a very practical perspective. Sorry for your loss!
Murphy’s will love you the way you cleaned their equipment. You know, the rental people or maintenance guys love you when you save them the cleaning part. Awesome care and appreciation for their equipment.
I enjoyed watching this machine and learning what it can do. We have 80 acres of woods in Northern Michigan. I can now see the benefit of hiring someone to come in with one of these for a day and do what would take me weeks (or more) to do on my own even using my tractor and implements. Thanks for the education!
I watched right till the very end to see if Melissa would have to pull Mike away crying and hugging the machine when they came to pick it up. Lol. Nice review on the unit Mike. Oh and it hurts a little less everyday when we lose something we love😂😂.
Mike, it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved before. You will get through this loss. Life lessons are tough but John Deer won’t tease you with more than you can handle. Your strong you can do this.
This little adventure was a good deal for all: You, us (the viewers), Murphy, Diamond Forestry. I really enjoyed watching the videos on this beast. Good job and God Bless.
Didn't have my glasses on, but I'm pretty sure I caught a slight tear down Mike's face on this one. Nice videos of the equipment's capabilities. Keep it up!
.you were blessed, you got got use from the equitment! Great work done! Thanks for posting! ..I spent a good part of the June 1984.. clearing enough brush for a professional scaled tennis court.. for my Dad, a semi pro tennis player and i, an aspiring tennis player.. On my own i cleared vines, poison ivy, wild low bush blue berries, native ''ilex, sp." bushes, mountain laurel, american holly bushes/ trees.. other invasive species like fragmites & bracken fern.. only secondary growth 2 or 3 pine and oak tress..WHAT A JOB! with out any heavy equipment.. not even a chain saw.. all disposed of, recycled, replanted (even had found 'lady slipper orchids' they do not transfer well) or burned.. It was the most physical work I ever did.. (at the time i was an aspiring Photographer, just out of Temple U's Art school) By early August we were prepping for asphalt for the court by the end of August backstop fences were up.. Played tennis all Fall.. Mid-winter we used it to 'play street hockey'.. by spring starting to play, again.. Bracken fern was relentless as it broke thru the asphalt..
Hi Morgan family, just discovered your channel and really enjoyed the content and interaction from all. I am a Brit living in rural France with a heavy dependency on wood with all the related issues including log burning stoves mainly run on French oak. Fascinated with the John Deere and the Diamond bush cutter, a great piece of machinery and the impact on your pathways truly amazing. Having just found your channel I watched many of your latest videos during a very wet November day and they really brightened the day for me, keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing the small cabin completed. David
Great review. You were indeed fortunate to be able to use it for your advantage and show others the possibilities. I'm sure you'll reap the benefits of its use for years.
Dear Murphy Tractor, No doubt, Mike has spotlighted your machine(s) very well and demonstrated the incredible capabilities of them. I am, however, concerned about his mental well-being; that he may experience DT's over the next several days during the painful withdrawal period of giving up this machine. As such, I feel it is my philanthropic duty to volunteer myself to help him through this difficult period. I am willing to let Mike bring your machine to the beautiful rolling hills of Tennessee to demonstrate to potential business interests who may wish to purchase your machine, the clearing of a few acres of old overgrown pastures, including small saplings, old rotted stumps, multiflora rose, etc., highlighting the ability of the machine to process bulk acreage instead of trails and smaller areas. I think this would be the proper way to slowly wean him off of the machine, protect his overall mental health, and provide additional beneficial marketing for your company and products. I'm just a "giver" that way. Looking forward to your call. Best Regards, Python357 Humanitarian
Just Subscribed and started watching your videos about one (1) month ago. If I were a betting guy which I’m not, I would have bet $ 100 you would power wash it before you returned it to Murphy Tractor. I have learned about the type of person you are fairly quickly. Great job, Mike! 👍
Mike the fan switch should be for the reversing fan. You can reverse the air flow to help keep the coolers cleaner. Our Case wheel loaders have that feature and really helps in dusty conditions.
Solid machine, and a very thorough and interesting breakdown of its workings and capabilities. Mike, Deere should consider collaborating with you on licensing this content for marketing purposes. Hard to imagine anybody doing a better job making clear what a machine like this is capable of, without putting its audience to sleep. Nice work.
It has been interesting watching you cut those trails, and clear those spots. But i think some viewers were worried you were going to clear it like a Golf Course!
Mike, I'm sorry for your loss today. I feel your grief. Like a treasured family member, perhaps the Deere will return someday. Keep the faith. Peace brother. Out. Tell Melissa hello! I feel a swimming pool in your future.........
Great video series Mike. Thank you for sharing. I will never have the opportunity to run one of these but it sure was fun watching you do it. The only problem was keeping my keyboard dry from all the drool!
I had a ‘15 Cummins work truck and it took DEF. When it would “regen” or whatever they do after idling for a long time in the winter, WOW it smelled like straight kerosene coming out of the exhaust pipe. And it would use it quick in the winter months
Mike, Keep a good eye on the Autumn Olive you removed this fall. Next year the roots will send up new stems from the roots. What was one bush this year will be 10-20 next spring. Using an herbicide on the cuts are the only way to stop AO.
Great video. Love the music at the beginning. I just bought a 333G with a drum mulcher last week. I want to try one of these disks so bad because they just seem even more violent than a drum. Thanks for the great content.
This is similar to my Stumpster tree saw that goes on my 3 point on my tractor. I have a video on my UA-cam page showing it cutting a 35 foot tall Honey Locust tree. The Stumpster sells for about $2000.
That Diamond head might be a good investment. Putting 4-6” wood on the ground always seems hard on the Fecon 74. Fell with the Diamond, and mulch with the Fecon.
Hi Mike and Melissa, I'm new to your channel but have enjoyed watching you guys so far. I have a lot of the same equipment that you use. Mike I liked your quick review of the JD330. It was well done. I own a CAT 279D with a head and several other attachments from Quick Attach. I have a small firewood and land clearing company here in AK. I have a full time job as well. It is something that is completely different from my regular line of work and I very much enjoy it. I have a FB page(westway firewood and land clearing) that you can check out if you'd like. He can describe his firewood as "Premium seasoned debarked hardwood. By including "Forestry Products" in the company name will allow him to expand into other areas (mulching, woodchips, wood pellets) with out having to modify the company name. It's a pain in the butt to change or modify a company name once it is registered. It's an idea. You guys take care, be safe and have a great Thanksgiving.
I enjoyed the series Mike, thanks for breaking your smile and getting out of the cabin to setup all the different camera angles. How did baby Ty handle the noise when you were heading to the brick house?
Great song, loved it. You guys should watch the fireworks to celebrate the ending of the World Cup rugby. It was on top of Mount Fuji. Was amazing you will love it. South Africa won the WC. 🥳🥳🥳

Was surprised the skid-steer did not have a DPF system so looked up the specs. Has a Yanmar engine. Also a DEF system is not a substitute for a DPF system. In fact John Deere diesels above about 70 HP have both a Diesel Particulate Filter and a DEF system.
Whatever you do be carfull with that def fluid. Itsverry corosive! We put some in a cast iron pan at work and it pitted it all up and ate through in what we believe was a year.....we had forgot all about it. The pan was bone dry......had many holes from 1/4in-2in in the bottom......and the cement floor under it was all disinagrated and just dust like some one wouldof been trying to grind out a 8in drain hole
Pacific Northwest life long city boy here, Thanks Mike for sharing your knowledge about this machine. I'm sure I'll never use one, but at least I know how one is used. Things look beautiful your way, hope winter is good to your family and you....

Like a vacation, all good things must come to an end!!😂😂😂
Just curious what happens to the cutters when you hit a large hidden rock? Nice video.
Does it require a severe duty door or polycarbonate door to operate the brush mower?
Whatever you do be carfull with that def fluid. Itsverry corosive! We put some in a cast iron pan at work and it pitted it all up and ate through in what we believe was a year.....we had forgot all about it. The pan was bone dry......had many holes from 1/4in-2in in the bottom......and the cement floor under it was all disinagrated and just dust like some one wouldof been trying to grind out a 8in drain hole
Nice simple machine, never ran a skidsteer I'll put it on my bucket list
A man with a broken heart! Just take your frustration out on the saw logs Mike. Good job.
