  • Trikes are a great way to stay in the wind longer and can accommodate alot of people from the disabled to the elderly to young people that just like trikes. Today we'll look at the 140 HP Rewaco Pure Gt from Germany and the Harley Tri Glide and see which one is the ultimate trike.

I have a 2022 Tri glide with a very light steering feel & much better ride by adding Legend rear shocks & lift kit . Also added Tab exhaust with Zombie baffles for a better sound . The lift kit makes a huge difference in steering feel !

Great choice with the Tri Glide. Hope you're ripping those miles? If you're looking for more cargo space, better comfort and easy riding... Try a REWACO TRIKE.

I had a 2014 TG and loved it, AFTER making a few mods. The ride will NEVER be great, without independent suspension it rides hard. I installed a lift kit which helps tremendously with the steering. The stock shocks, well...... I will say are garbage. I now have a 2021 Freewheeler, I added a batwing fairing, lift kit and coil over rear shocks. Rides a lot better than stock and turns so much easier. I rented a Rewaco while on a cruise to Cozumel. It was fun to ride, the seat is lots more comfortable, but the automatic trans just did not give me the trike/motorcycle feel.

The aftermarket lift kit on my 2023 TG helps and the 114 M8 is badass. Break down in Rewalco in Montana, you better have relatives there.

I just recently got a Tri Glide and never even heard of the Rewaco. Interesting video, but I think I'll stick with Harley! I have ridden a Can Am too but again, it's not a Harley!

THE FOLLOWING IS MY OWN OPINION. Please read my whole comment before dropping disparaging comments on this piece.
    Harley Tri = CLUNKY
    Rewaco PUR3 = SMOOTH
But I am biassed. I have a 2021 Rewaco RF1LT3. Last model with a gear stick and not a gear knob. Mine has cruise control, ABS braking, seat warmers ( X 3, being a 3 seater). Mine does not have the big fairing, and the lower fairings are not required in Australia. They just cause overheating issues here. I tried a 2021 Tri Glide before I tried the Rewaco. I found the TG clunky, heavy, and just basically not what I would like to spend my retirement on. The Rewaco (sold in Australia under the name TOUROZ due to naming rights issues) is everything I wanted. Lower, relaxed seating position, passenger far enough away to not be a problem, and with the 4 cylinder 1.5 litre turbo Mitsubishi, HANG ON. I opted for the 177 HP model. I ride in automatic mode mostly, but if I want to play, drop into Sports Mode and let rip. With the HUGE wheels on the rear, there is minimal risk of breaking traction. I have tried, but still have not been able to lift a rear wheel in a tight corner. Many motor cycles fade into the background on tight and twisty mountain roads. On sedate rides, I use the cruise control and just kick back. The standard lighting was OK, but I upgraded the bulbs, and added LED driving lights for the daylight experience in the middle of the night. The LED light conversion is price prohibitive here. Over all, I am happy with the RF1LT3. It does not have GPS, touch screen or radio. I can get all that if I want it, but why. I have a smart phone, and a mount for it, so if I need maps, I just take out the phone and crank it up. With the intercom system, I can have music, but again, why. Over all, smoother, more responsive, better looking, and does not look like a Harley. A trike is a trike. I feel that the Tri GLide is a motorcycle with 3 wheels. The Rewaco is purpose built, while the TG feels like a make do kind of thing. But to each their own. Everyone has different tastes. The Rewaco just happens to be mine. And just to add, I have done my time on Harleys, Nortons, Triumphs, Matchless and AJS. And quite a few others between 1976 to 2010. Sportster, Wide Glide, Stripped Dresser for a time, and a couple of others. Even a 1976 CBX Honda 6 cylinder. I just got too old to put up with the shit from idiots driving girl's cars and thinking they were 'Big Men". My Trike puts me back on the road the way I want to be out there. Stay safe everyone. Cheers from Australia.

Is there adjustable suspension on your trike, I see he said it rides rougher than the harley?

Hegshot... great video. The HD Tri-Glide is a phenomenal piece of machinery for a conversion bike. The reason that I decided to rip the roads on a Rewaco PUR3 GT Touring is that its not a conversion trike, it is a trike. No tip over feel, low to the ground, great comfort and storage. REWACO does need to upgrade its bells and whistles a little more. As for the rest of the machine... it holds its own class. Upgrade the suspension... no need for that due to coil overs. Power... 1.5l 4cyl turbo Mitsubishi engine with 140hp coupled with a CVT Punch transmission... WOW!!! Rewaco is paving the road for trikes for 30yrs in Europe and graciously newly entered our market. Pic the ride that pleases you and make your adventure.

The Triglide is not a conversion bike, it is a factory built cycle. Not sure why it is thought of being a conversion.

@@customchris07 The HD Triglide was based off a two wheeled motorcycle "Ultra Classic" hence conversioned to a three wheeler. Great bike, but not the same dynamics as a REWACO.

No matter what it's still a totally different bike the width and the style but if you think of it your paying the price of a Harley maybe 40,000 $$$ plus the style another 20,000 $$$. I personally would get a Gold Wing Tri Glide and have the comforts of almost being at home in the living room and it is very smooth. Great video , Peace

I was wondering if you've thought about doing a review for Tilting Motorworks dual front wheel attachment for Harley, Indian or Goldwing? They've been out for several years but reviews are very limited and mostly done by the manufacturer.

It looks like the Rewaco handlebars sit higher than the riders heart. How does that affect the circulation on long road trips? Do your hands start to go numb after a few hundred miles? How hard is it to see what is happening in traffic up ahead while sitting so low?

I wish the rear wheels had 5 lugs instead of 4 and I wish H-D would make full Auto transmission available

  • @mrvoyagerm

I would worry that in the rain the rear fenders on the Rewalco would send the water straight up. The Harley is in a class by itself, as with any full size Harley touring they are all a mobile piece of jewelry no doubt.

  • @TheBdb869
    @TheBdb869 5 місяців тому

Does the Rewaco have cruise control? I have a 2012 Tri Glide and I do ride hundreds of miles when I'm out. I love mine. The older trike tend to squat more in the rear, so a lift is needed. I understand that Harley moved the engine back a little bit on the 114's, so the frame is a bit longer. That gets some of the weight off of the front wheel, so that might be why the steering is lighter on the newer trikes.

I had a tri-glide and didn't care for it. Didn't like the way it handled and it wasn't very comfortable...even after trying 2 different seats. My Ultra Limited was a much nicer ride but intermittent back issued pushed me towards a trike. I like the Rewaco because it's different and for the reasons a die hard bike guy might not like it. Dealer support would be my only concern.

These kind of three wheel things are big oveer seas in south america and eastern euorpe. Not what we think of when we think of a motor bike. would kind of be better off being draged behind a Harley on a string than be sean on one of these. Just one ( with two Harleys) guys thoughts.

Doesn't make one bit of difference reviewing a Harley tri glide, good or bad as almost entirely in about 3-4 years they will be for sale with very low mileage due to old timers don't ride like whey they were younger, even on a 3 wheeler. their minds wants a put but the body says no more and there it sits collecting dust
