Nice Hummer!! Moog is a good brand to go by!! I replaced mines with some off brand bearings but when they start to go im Going with MOOG OR KRYPTONITE HD HUBS!!
This is an outstanding video ... I wish all mechanics we are detailed as you and we would all be in better shape.
I just traded for one. Mine makes a popping noise when I put it in reverse. Ordered a drive axle with the cv joint. I really like it. Just hope it doesn’t turn into a money pit
The noises in this video were from the wheel spacers. I had never had a vehicle with spacers before. I tightened them up and they went away. The entire front end needed rebuilding on this Hummer. I ended up trading it.

Pretty sure its the spacers. I have a lifted golf cart with spacers and it does the same sound. When i loosen the wheel and retighten it goes away for awhile.

Hard to find a good H2 in good shape these days, if you find one be prepared to put at least $3K into it.
I've found lots of nice ones. Not that hard to find. I have a nice one. Has 120k miles I dont want to drive it very much
03 hummer h2 mine going up for sale next year, after i replaced the tranny, the ac blower motor, and patched up ALLLL the common and the not so common water leaks, lol.. yea man im sinking monies in mine so the next person wont fucking have to.. expect to see my 03 hummer ht all white and chromed out, and a asking price of 28 grand.. maybe 30 grand, depends if i dress it up any more then it already is..lol
@@TheBowen747 I replaced everything that could be replaced and it drives like a dream. Had to replace the front differential a few months which was expensive. Good luck on selling yours, I’m considering during a Duramax conversion on mine in the next few years.
I have a 2005 H2 Hummer SUT. That I have own for the past 11 years or since 2007. My was a demo so am the first owner. And my ABS light came on the dash. I have never replace a ABS Hub bearing before. So my dad showed me how to do one. Well after many years had past the same problem happen again with noise and the ABS light on the dash came on. I was not sure if it was a bad wiring connector or what? So I took it into the dealership for they had the cheaper test for $29.95. Turn out the mechanic found both ABS Hubs were bad and needed to be replace. Along with my Inner/Outer tie rods brushing and upper control arm. Plus my rear brake pads were needed replacing. And the disc rotor in the rear were bad. And with a new front end aliment they wanted in all for labor and parts around $3600. Sadly my dad pass away that year. So I ended up going on youtube and watch how to do the work myself. I went to Auto Zone and another parts store and spent about $700 to $900 on all the parts including all new brake pads and did the work myself. And for many years I though I had a lose muffler buffer inside rattle all the time. The noise was unpleasant for many years. After years I took it to a muffler shop and it was not the muffler but just lose metal under my Hummer. They did a few spot welds and no more noise. Now I wish someone could tell me why I hear noise between my dash and front windshield? I hear it time to time. Some days when it's winded outside and other times am not sure. It sounds if something is rubbing up against the plastic of the dash or its outside by the wipers. Anyone know let me know?
I had an issue with the plastic on the sides of the front windshield flapping. I put silicone and it was gone. Also the front wiper cover, if the rivet breaks, you will get a buzz or humm from the cover.
Going through my 2nd set of front hubs. I got the quality ones before and lasted about 100k. Not too pleased. Im going with the cheaper hubs this time as they are not that difficult to swap out, especially here in SO Cal, not much rust buildup.
Im not a hummer owner, but i own a honda crv....what worked for me was changing out the sway bar links and the lower control arms. Maybe this may help someone else.

And there's the sweet spot in the turn that you can ride out the noise. i try to tn see how long i can do it..
How windy is it inside with the windows up and on the highway over 80mph..
i was told there was over spray from the undercoating in the joint.
