Glad to see you traveled to Norfolk and Virginia Beach, I live in Norfolk on the water, but I am from Virginia Beach in which I have been a native since 1960. I hope you enjoyed your stay and thanks for sharing.
I love First Landing! The private beach is my favorite!!! We go there at least 2 times a year!! Was just down at the Beach at the same time last week! Hope you all saw some Dolphins!!!!
God bless the military and all that have served and those serving us today! God bless America!!! My favorite time to walk on the beach is early in the morning and late in the evening. :)
My dad was a fleet marine on the Lexington air craft carrier. It is now a museum in Corpus Christi TX. If you get a chance go see it as well. Amazing WW 2 ship
Enjoying your videos I look forward to watching your adventures.. loved the Wisconsin - God bless Ethan and all of our military, active and veterans..a huge thank you for your service 🇺🇸
I love you touring around the states,it's such a great adventure,I'm from the UK and I feel I'm learning about the United States through you guys, absolutely love it ❤️❤️
For the future, that little rest area right after you get off the bridge/tunnel allows 48 hour boondocking. It's super safe because there are Virginia State troopers across the street at the bridge head quarters. There are some trails you can hike in the back of the parking lot and it takes you to some old abandoned military barracks and it also has some really amazing vistas overlooking the bay. It's a really amazing little spot.
Thank you to Ethan for his service and sacrifice to our country. Thank you to you both for your son❤️ Have you sailed out of Norfolk? It is a nice embarkation port!!
Thanks for posting this! My cruise NYC to Bermuda is going to stop for a day in Norfolk this fall. We were thinking of just staying on the ship, but you guys make it look a lot better than the other videos I’ve found!!
This was an awesome video especially because we live on the ocean front in Virginia Beach… Sorry you had bad weather though… Hope you come back again… The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel on a beautiful calm sunny day is an amazing bridge to travel on… It is so gorgeous… Maybe next time…Safe travels👍❤️👍
Hi guys! Glad you made it to eastern Virginia! You will love Virginia Beach! We’re going there next week with our mini poodle Maxie! We’re from Smithmountain lake in southwest Virginia. I’m from a navy family and my brother and father were in Vietnam but both contracted agent Orange cancer and passed away. Thank your son for his amazing service! My dad invented with there others, the chinook helicopter for the Vietnam war.
Hey y'all...long time listener first time caller. 😂 We live in Hampton Virginia and I missed the fact you were here! Next time you come; I want a meet up! ❤
Looks awesome!!! When. I saw Norfolk I knew it was a different Norfolk than where I’ve been in the U.K.!!! I’ve been to Virginia beach but didn’t know if Norfolk nearby!!!
Oh man! You missed the best thing in Va Beach! The Marine Science Museum is an amazing aquarium with so much to see and do. It's a Must on your next visit!
I’m originally from Virginia Beach. Hope you guys enjoyed Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Great place. Chicho’s at the beach is great pizza! Grew up eating that pizza!
I'm loving the RV series. Your intro video popped up in my recommended and it was great to see where your vligging began. The twins were so small but still adorable. Thanks for sharing through the years. 😊
Next time you are in LA, you need to visit the USS Iowa and the Bowfin in San Pedro. And if you ever go on a cruise to San Diego you need to visit the Midway. All 3 are amazing.
I am truly enjoying following your travels. Glad you were able to tour the Wisconsin and see what your son Ethan is experiencing. Are your twins off to college or also in the military? Enjoy all of your upcoming adventures. We've had so many cruises and trips cancelled due to Covid, hurricanes, and now knee issues, so watching your videos has kept me going.
I was so surprised to see you in Virginia Beach, we were there a few weeks ago and got our picture taken with king neptune. The boardwalk is such fun especially at night. We have also camped at first landing, we took a pizza out on the wooden walkway and watched the waves as we ate. We sailed on the American rover (sailboat) and toured all the navel ships. We also did the Chesapeak bay bridge. I really enjoyed this video. I so envy you touring the country in an RV.
Geedunk: the place on a ship where candy and other snacks may be purchased. The snacks may be called geedunk. Geedunk may be a pejorative word for an inexperienced sailor. " I was at the geedunk and bought some geedunk from that boot geedunk." BTW, wood decks usually were teakwood. Read up on holystone and prayerbooks to clean a ship's wood deck (and that is why today's Sailors and Marines do not complain about chip & paint of metal decks). And, short answer without lots of lecturing about the physics of ships at sea, some WWII battleships had upward curved decks supposedly to make them more seaworthy and hopefully stable when moving at greater than 21 knots while positioning during battle.
I been down in the tunnel on the Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel when a ship was crossing above me. If you take a cruise from Baltimore, the cruise ship goes over that tunnel that you were in.
I enjoyed this so much. We live in the southeast area of WV and love going to Virginia Beach and Myrtle Beach. Your camping spot was perfect. We have been on the Wisconsin and enjoyed it as much as the two of you did. Whenever we are in that area we enjoy going over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Even though it costs a bit, it's always fun since we are land locked in West Virginia. Looking forward to your adventures in Maryland. I believe y'all said that you went to Ocean City Maryland. That's where we went when I was growing up. I grew up in the Washington DC area. Maybe one day y'all can spend some time in Washington DC. There is so much to see there! Safe travels!
Ooh I don't know if I could do that bridge again!! It was crazy! Yes, we loved Ocean City, one of the trips highlights. We would love to visit DC... just not in the RV... unless we can find an RV park with a shuttle :)
Wow, we literally live right down the road from your campground! I'm glad to see you like our city, have fun! We are a retired military couple and our son is stationed in Norfolk, been her for over 30 years! 🙂
Thanks for the great video guys. Awesome about your son. Norfolk looks totally different then when me my brother his girlfriend and our friend that was in the Navy(his car was at the base) hitchhiked they're from Co. In the 70's when we were teenagers.. since we were from Colorado haven't spent much time at a beach we stayed about a month with our friend that was stationed there. I loved the beach and at that time it had a really cool amusement park on it... It's long gone😪 As always safe and happy travels💗 p.s I can't resist the fudge Shoppe's either 😆
I had to add another comment. I could have swore there was huge Windows in that tunnel in the 70s. Maybe there's a different tunnel I don't know? 😆 I also don't remember King Neptune. I looked on the sign there was no date when it was put there? I must admit I liked it way better when the amusement park was there only thing that look the same with the water & the sand.lol oh yeah and that 1st Boardwalk you went to that wasn't built up with all those restaurants and all that. Yes It was a very touristy place at the time as it still is. But back then it was lined with nothing but drunk sailors LOL true story
We sold our house off Shore drive our houses waz on the beach. June this year, we moved to Apollo beach Florida. We were supposed to meet ya'll on the Mardi Gras 2020. Lol we keep missing each other. I could have schooled you on how to pronounce Norfolk. One day we will hang out. Cheers
Hello to you both. Blessings and be safe out there. Love your Channel. Please let me know where you got your state RV sticker? I would love to purchase one. Thank you.
Hey guys for your next adventure I have an apple phone which doesn’t matter what kind of phone you have. But I have this app it is called my radar. And it is free! It is spot on it shows a little blue dot where you are and you can literally watch and see if the rain or whatever is gonna come over where your location is how fast it moves in what direction. Now you can upgrade it and pay but I’ve never upgraded because it’s always giving me the information that I want to know. But I tell you what it definitely definitely will help you in making decisions and planning your day. And you can pretty much see when the storms are coming and how much time you have before they get to where you are it’s pretty awesome
Man I wish I had known you guys were going to be there oh my gosh I iamb like my family is like 30 minutes from there did you go across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel? How long are you going to be there I would love to meet you guys
Super Cool, yall are in our backyard. Its good to see things from another set of eyes :)
I never knew about that ship and I have been in wisc for 58 years. Awesome video
Enjoyed this video . Was in the navy there for a few years. Tell your son this old chief said thanks for his service.
Great Job!
Glad to see you traveled to Norfolk and Virginia Beach, I live in Norfolk on the water, but I am from Virginia Beach in which I have been a native since 1960. I hope you enjoyed your stay and thanks for sharing.

Cruising out of Norfolk rocks!

Don’t cross a solid white line. Especially in the bridge tunnel.

My brother retired from the Navy, he was on aircraft carriers for 6 months at a time. 🇺🇸
Been on the bridge during a really bad storm. I was looking out for a water spout to pick us and through the car over the bridge.
I'm watching the video like I don't live here 😂 I'm glad y'all enjoyed it here. Should come back in the summer 🤠
Next time you are in LA, you need to visit the USS Iowa and the Bowfin in San Pedro. And if you ever go on a cruise to San Diego you need to visit the Midway. All 3 are amazing.

Cheers
Tell Ethan THANK YOU for his service.
What ship is he serving on?
Love you. Guys looks cool
Love going on that ship in 2010. You must parked Elly on 25th street.
I'm watching this at home and can feel the drilling in my teeth. What is happening right now?
Do miss being at home
Dentist was always the worst aboard the ship lol

Since you are on road you might know this: is South of the Boader (at NC/SC boarder) closed??
I honestly don't know... I didn't notice when we went through there.
South of the Boarder is being torn down. I heard it would be rebuilt
you hot to go to phil crab house when you get to o c md
Where did you get the map?
Do you miss being at home
Sometimes
Are y'all traveling with a truck too?
No just the RV and our scooter.
What s the name of campground?
Hi guys looking gorgeous love you
Have you ever been on a Virgin cruise line cruise? Or has anyone else in the comments been on a virgin cruise?
the kidd is a destroyer dd
It's north fork
Locals say "Naw-fik".
The way to pronounce Norfolk is part dirty word: Norfuck is how the natives say it. Take it from a native.
