I was totally against the Nagelsmann firing, but it wasn’t out of nowhere. He wasn’t getting along with the players or management. Regardless of performance, anyone who’s worked any job knows that if you’re on a bad footing with your colleagues, the quality of work doesn’t matter anymore.
No, hiring Oliver Kahn as the CEO was dummer, everything went south with him, he sacked Nagelsmann for Tuchel.
Sacking Mourinho before a final was, at least, equally stupid.

The petty Arsenal fan in me is laughing and gleefully rubbing my hands together watching Granit Xhaka once again smiting Harry Kane. But that's not a pleasant way to be! It's just awesome to see Leverkusen riding high on uniquely suitable tactics for their motley assortment of "when did he get THAT good?" talent. They're playing as though to say "What IS history even?" and marching to a future when they are immortalized as club legends. Meanwhile, back to that petty Arsenal fan, oh man oh man are we catching Bayern at the right time for us and the wrong time for them! In terms of narratives and demon-slaying, our season and Leverkusen's could be tied in destiny as defined by beating Bayern Munich. And I think that's beautiful. Cheers, T! The only one u can blame for what is going on at Bayern are the Players. The 2 German games proved this. So many Players that are in the starting 11 in Bayern and guaranteed nominated for the national team weren't nominated or on the pitch, and we played so much better against France and the Netherlands then with the Bayern Players in the 2 years before that. Coincidence ? I don't think so

Im not sure what to think about Tuchel dude seems a bit overrated to me. He is a good coach for sure he stabilized Mainz, did a good job at Dortmund and PSG but not outstanding. Im a dortmund Fan. We played some good football with Tuchel but not outstanding.
He won the champions league with Chelsea for sure but he mostly took over the team from lampard and won the 2 most important match ups. Not like Klopp for example who took over a struggling dortmund and Liverpool and turned both of them in a couple of years into cup winning beasts haha.
However I hope Tuchel will find a new club to stay for a longer time to finally proper develop something.

There is a big chance Bayern Munich will finish outside Top 2 for the first time since what happened in 2010/11, if Stuttgart and Dortmund maintained a good run again.
I guess, it will be similar to Real Madrid in 2003/04 season. They somehow finished 4th at the end of the season after being top of the table in La Liga by the end of February, losing the very last 5 games, at that time.
Normal service in Germany will likely be resumed next year.

This Bayern team, on paper, is more than good enough to be in the title until the very last match day. They’re also good enough to have a decent shot at Champions League. They’re also financially healthy.
Juves issue is they made some dumb financial decisions. Getting CR7 was foolish in hindsight but Covid hit and match day revenue would’ve balanced things out. Getting Higuain for 90 million when he only had a couple decent seasons left in him was dumber. Love Higuain but he’s a known choker in big games compared to CR7. Juve haven’t entirely recovered from that and their bigger transfers haven’t entirely delivered. Getting top 4 is looking unsure but Juve HAVE to get top 4 if they wanna rebuild. We’re also pretty desperate financially to get at least into the final of Coppa Italia in order to qualify for the Supercoppa for an extra maybe 3-5 million if we win.
Sorry for the long explanation, just wanted to clarify. But both boards have made dumb decisions, they do have that in common.

@@iamdc21 yeah free transfers sound good in theory but for Juve and Serie A in general 6-7 million salaries aren’t that cheap compared to what La Liga and EPL pay. We’d like to get Jorginho next season and I think he’s a great player and still has something to offer but historically as you said, free transfers haven’t quite worked out too well for us.

It's a stretch to call him the unluckiest man. He earns well, he scores goals, creates goals. It's really not his fault.
Funniest part of this season is that Harry Kane has been scoring more than he did last season but cuz Leverkusen has been exceptional and Bayern have been awful by their high standards Kane will go another season without a trophy. Tuchel really has fallen off and I worry he won't get another chance at a top team for awhile. All that to say kudos to Xabi Alonso and Leverkusen yall really have fought for this Bundesliga title.

It's a season to forget... except the Harry Kane records and goals
Scoring in finals usually helps players break their curse.
It doesn't help that the dressing room is like American and Russian relations after WWII, you've got Kimmich, De Ligt, Davies (and allegedly Musiala) wanting out for various different reasons, players in key positions are ageing and past their prime, Tuchel's tactics just don't work and he's gone on record saying it's because his players suck and it isn't because he's made some awful tactical choices (this Bayern team isn't anywhere near Robbery but it should still be good enough to wipe the floor with any German team not named Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund or RB Leipzig). Seeing as Xabi isn't leaving Leverkusen next season, and there hasn't been too much interest for quite a few Leverkusen players (not yet anyway), added to the fact that they may feel incentivized to stay on next season if they win the league this season, Bayern probably isn't winning the league next season either, unless they go crazy in the transfer window and buy a new defense. Either way, transitional Bayern will be interesting to watch.
I think nowadays we take promising managers to quickly away from their first job. They need at least 2/3 years experience before leaving. Arteta is just a freak of nature though.

You could already see last season that Leverkusen under Alonso was cooking something. Normally Bayern buys the best player from other clubs who threatens its leadership position but not this season they went international with their squad additions.
