- Bit of a tech-related one today as we share the audio settings we’ve found work the best for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and our vlogs. In our last video when we went to find snow in Cyprus we used no other audio than the DJI Mic 2 and our Pocket 3 and we were seriously impressed!
You can watch that video here: • Snow on the SUMMER isl...

thanks so much! i will change for my upcoming vlogs :D
Game changer!! was just editing my first ever vlog with the Pocket 3 and this has levelled up the audio a lot
This video has done its job 🙏 If it could just help one person I’d be happy so thanks for letting us know 🥰
Great video! Mine comes this Wednesday and I can't wait!
Appreciate that, thank you 🙏 you’ll love it, enjoy!
Very informative video. Used this mic the other day and got some really funky audio. Thanks for making this video and helping me trouble shoot!
Best of luck! Appreciate the comment 🙏
Thanks man. I don't even know what "low cut" is, but I turned it off and could immediately hear the difference. Thanks!
Low cut is a feature built into the microphone to try and get rid of low frequency humming noises. It is however quite powerful on the DJI Mic 2 and ends up affecting the vocal range of audio. 👍
Thanks this was awesome!
Thank you, glad to hear it was useful 👍
Thanks for this 👍 great edit too
Thank you! 🥰
Thanks for this! I am definitely planning to get one of these, so this is super helpful.
Although a lot of the technical stuff went over my head… I have a lot to learn about editing!
I’m glad it might help! This was a very rare techy video for us as I had a bit of a nerd out 🤣🥰
thank u so much for the tips God bless
You are so welcome! Thank you for being here 🙏
Mate I love this new style and awesome editing!
Thank you mate! This was probably the most complex edit I’ve done and I’m trying to get better at cutting out anything that doesn’t offer value 😎
Thanks so much for sharing! I switched to filming on the Pocket 3 last Fall and the audio has been driving me crazy lol finally sat down tonight to research how to fix it and just now am discovering the low cut switch has been on this whole time. 😵💫 Thanks for the info!
I'm so glad to hear it was useful! - Jake
Saved me fr thank you
That's so good to hear! Glad it helped someone 🙏
This was a great look at the DJI. Camera looks amazing! Good luck with filming! :D
Thank you 🙏 it’s a bit off topic for us but it’s a very exciting bit of kit 🤣
Love the video! Hoping to wrap up my review on mine as well!
Appreciate that, thank you! I’ve just subscribed to you, I look forward to your review 🙌
Great audio, great video, great personality. What program were you using to edit?
dope video, subscribed, very useful
I really appreciate that, I'm glad it was of some use! :)
Great video l like DJI pocket 3. I will buy one for my vlog coming soon.
You're going to love it, thanks for commenting! - Jake
nice video!! thanks!! one question: only osmo pocket 3 combo works wireless with the mic? or the simple osmo pocket 3 can connect also with a dji mic2?
❤❤❤
I wonder if doing the EQ effects for the internal mic would be good and then no need for the external dji mic 👀
It'd definitely improve it but it may also amplify any background noise aswell, that's why having the targeting mic just on you is better in most cases 👌
Thank you so much, can you drop a link to the preset?
Hey! I really appreciate your comment but I didn't use a preset. Just played around with sliders 🙏
Do you think you need the freewell ND filters in UK weather?
It really depends whether you're bothered about having that 'cinematic' motion blur. It will sort itself out with NDs but with them you can control the shutter speed. 👍
Great video! Im thinking about buying the DJI mic 2, but I always thought that the voice sounds so slim, so I really appreciate your video. Quick question: the editing Software you are using… what is it called?
So glad to hear it was useful! I edit in Adobe Premiere Pro. If I was starting fresh with video editing though I’d learn davinci resolve 😎
@@TheSimplyLivingFamily thank you for your answer! Is the same audio configuration possible in iMovie?
You might not have as many audio settings but you can definitely still make videos in iMovie. Davinci Resolve is free aswell up to a certain point so we’ll worth looking into
@@TheSimplyLivingFamilyGreat thank you! 🙏 Have a great day!
My pleasure, likewise!
I make Video and its without Sound i think IT with IT was Red Light in micriofon ..how i can geht my audio from the mic pleas??
ITS possible that i found IT?
What editing software was that you was using. I am a complete noob at video editing, I have resolve but haven’t gotten the chance to dive in yet. I’m only savvy in the photo editing in Lightroom as of now. Can’t wait for my pocket 3 creators combo to arrive!
Hope you enjoy your pocket 3! I use Premiere, if I were starting again though I’d be tempted to learn resolve and stick with that as it appears to be a much more powerful editor.
@@TheSimplyLivingFamily thanks for the reply! I’m sure I will enjoy it, It seems everyone who has one loves it, so I’m pretty excited. And I’ve never played with premiere, mainly gorpo quick and CapCut. So resolve will be a huge learning curve but I’m going to do my best to get it right. Thanks again and love the content keep up the great work!
I think CapCut have a desktop app right? Maybe that could be a solution for now?
What is the name of the software you use for the EQ settings?
Thanks for the comment! I edit in Premiere Pro, including the audio. You could get more settings by jumping into Adobe's Audition but I don't find it necessary. - Jake
Do you guys know much about the dji actions settings?
I’d guess a lot of them crossover but I’ve never had my hands on an Action. Is that what you two are using? 🥰
Hi I need help. Whenever I try to place my 32 bit audio onto the adobe premier track, I found out that the audio clip are longer compared to the original audio recorded in pocket 3. I think this issue happens because whenever I press the record button on my pocket 3, there will be a slight delay on my dji mic 2 before it starts to record. So meaning that I have to clap my hand to create a peak before I start to Vlog as the audio peak will help me to sync both the audio. May I know have you encountered this issue? Thanks
Oh, how strange. I've not come across that before. If you highlight both the audio files though, right click and hit synchronise. Length should not matter :)
@@TheSimplyLivingFamily thanks for the reply. Just wanna confirm with you, whenever you place the 32 bit float audio from dji mic 2 into your timeline. Does the length of the 32 bit audio matches the ones that pocket 3 recorded internally? Or the length from both of the audio are slightly different? Thanks again
@@jasonpeishan mine is always the same, so it's strange that yours is different. Maybe contact DJI or post on one of the forums. 👍
@@TheSimplyLivingFamily thanks for your clarification 🙂
No worries at all! :)
Do you keep background noise on or off,
On the mic ?
At first, I was amazed by it and had it on all the time. Now however I lean towards keeping it off to let a little ambient sound through as it sounds more natural 👏
@@TheSimplyLivingFamily thank you
Pleasure!
big video!
Is that good? 🤔
uhhhh.... yea?@@TheSimplyLivingFamily
Providing good value, not sure why the 🤔
@@TATTEDGIGACHAD aw dude that means a lot! At first I didn’t know if you meant big video as in I’d dragged it out and it was boring 🤣 not that I would of minded at all, I was just confused 🙏
How dare you make this video… at this rate I’m going to have to give DJI all my money 🤷🏻♂️
It’s worth it. I promise 🤣🔥
All I can hear is the elevator music in the background ...
You're the first person to say that but I am always a bit conscious of what level to set it at before it just disappears. Thanks for the heads up 👍
@@TheSimplyLivingFamily It's very distracting. You should leave it out, so viewers can concentrate and listen to the audio samples you're presenting.
