    When writing your script think of it as a long list of instructions. The instructions are going to be read by agents, producers and directors. They must be clear, to the point and concise.

    I never thought of it like that. A new line every time the camera would change. I'm having difficulty balancing the action vs dialogue bits in my screenplay.

    Ever read the script for the Goonies? There are tons of paragraphs like that one in the script for the Goonies and turned out to be a great movie. There are no rules for writing scripts other than format.

      Lots of 80s or older scripts have tons of action description.

    That level of detail on the office would be left to the set director and cinematographer and director...there is no point in that level of description, the writer doesn't determine that.
