finally got into radiohead a few weeks ago after always putting them off and being kinda scared away by discussion of them making intentionally inaccessible music. Hadnt listened through Kid A yet but this was one hell of a way to first experience it.
It's totally worth it, it's definitely a positive experience by the end of it. I was also like that at first, but when I recognized some of these songs from the radio, I just had to give it a listen ahaha
They're very very popular, their music is not actually inaccessible. Just polarizing sometimes, the OKC vs Kid A debate turns into shit flinging quickly lol
Saying the wrong lyrics for all your life and finding out years later you've been singing them wrong is all part of the Kid A experience. When it came out the only available lyrics were in the hidden art booklet behind the CD in the jewel case, and those were just a few lines.
This was one of the most pleasant surprises to come out of 2021, thanks Vinny for allowing us to enjoy it together. I'm currently studying electronic music and production here in Italy and this allowed Radiohead to become one of my most favorite bands
Radiohead feel like the kind of band I’d listen to, like, but rarely come back to. Certain music I have to be in the right emotional state to appreciate. That and some songs you really have to stop and listen to to get the full effect. With how easily distracted I can get that’s hard for me to do.
You know you would think that, but then you end up listening to them over and over again. I would highly recommend going through some of their best work if you haven't already, such as Kid A, OK Computer, In Rainbows, Amnesiac, and The Bends. Hell listen to their whole discography if you want, but those are the most special to me personally.
@@slimcognito383 I mean theyve got music for all kinds of people, moods, occasions, this era is just a more "oh my fucking god nothing is real and im going to die alone" kind of vibe :)

This game made me fall on love with Radiohead all over again, and also take a closer look at their artistic achievements. This is just beautiful, i'm so glad it happened
hearing vinny talk about wanting to do a red vox type game for his album is commendable and interesting, imean we always make the jokes about how vinyort is the funny pizza pasta man, but when he creates something its fricken magical, and i would totally pay upwards of like, a full price of modern game + whatever the album costs to see what kinda interesting visuals would befit such.
I only knew Radiohead from a few songs before this, but now I'm intrigued to give their whole discography a try. I like watching you play all the funny stuff, Vinny, but watching this with all your input was certainly one of the most enjoyable experiences for me. Thank you

Im with you...ive been bawling half the time ive been watching this...please dont do anything though, i just want to let you know i am with you in this...
I just love this so, so much. Radiohead are the only ones who could pull something like this off, leave so much room for experimentation and yet so munch freedom for the spectator to experience it by one selves. And taking albums that are already a 20 years old and making something completely new and unique out of them. A entirely new, yet familiar experience. The artwork and hand-made drawings are so beautifully crafted and the combination with the digital immersive experience is just perfect. All is in complete harmony.

This was amazing to watch, since my computer couldn't handle it and was like playing a slideshow. Still can't believe how well this works (especially with one of my favorite albums) and makes me wonder what potential this could bring. This was absolutely beautiful. I can't help but think of what a TOOL version would be like...
Being a small radiohead fan, and only really getting into OK Computer, I had never heard that much about KID A or Amnesiac. And, believe it or not, I had never heard of How to Disappear Completely, Pyramid Song, nor You and Whose Army? before. And not to be too dramatic, but I'm really happy I experienced those songs blindly within this experience. I sobbed like a huge baby during that part of the exhibit, especially throughout Pyramid Song. If there was any other way I'd want to experience that moment differently, is to actually be there floating with the particles. Or VR at least.
I found this video couple days ago. I didn't know this fine piece of art existed. Kid A & Amnesiac are my Radiohead's fav albums and I'm so joyful to live this amazing journey. I played the full experience more than 10 times now. For me, this game is like that place where you sometimes wanna go and get away from everything
Man going in I didn't know I'd get emotional at points! But I sure did. I think it was the visuals in those moments that really got me, it helped the vibe even more. Sometimes it's good to just experience those moments and just feel, that's the power music can have on you. Thanks so much for sharing this Vin, this was amazing.

I should be thankful my memories are intact but now I have to remember live action cowboy bebop
26:00 surprised you didn't recognize that wasn't the album version and it sounded amazing. i would definitely introduce someone to radiohead with that.
Coming back to this, i think the little room with the tv and live performance of Optimistic is awesome because you can also watch most of the ads or bleeps they did for the release of KID A.
Really beautiful experience, I loved it. Wonder what happened to Knives Out, I Might Be Wrong or Dollars and Cents, but that's honestly a small criticism when the stuff that's in here is so good

this game actually pulled something out of me. Now I can see songs with constant stories inside them, its almost impossible now to imagine what songs used to look like to me, all I can no hear and see his stories, tons of stories just pulled out of every song, and every sound you can hear the musical rhythm of a human being and animals and creatures and the world

finally got into radiohead a few weeks ago after always putting them off and being kinda scared away by discussion of them making intentionally inaccessible music.
@@steel5897 People complaining while I'm relaxing to Climbing Up The Walls
@@SilverlineXZero OKC is surely one of their least experimental albums (excluding Pablo Honey and The Bends), no?
@@Janfon1 climbing up the walls? More like, climbing up the balls

Me: “There was nothing to fear, and nothing to doubt…”
Vinny: “…and nothing died…”
Me: 😳 ::checks lyrics:: “Oh, Vinny…”
i have every lyric memorized
Saying the wrong lyrics for all your life and finding out years later you've been singing them wrong is all part of the Kid A experience. When it came out the only available lyrics were in the hidden art booklet behind the CD in the jewel case, and those were just a few lines.
Most of the albums lyrics are a bunch of nonsense drawn out of a hat anyways lol
Melpert…
I'm still shocked that this exists. Kid A is probably my favorite album ever since it came out and never expected to see it in video game form
Vinny watching the live version of Optimistic.....Tom bobbling his head like a mad man cracked me up.
I’ve played this game like 6 times and sat with that little dude in the cinema for ages. Not once did I hear that unbelievable version of Optimistic
I never thought Radiohead would be the reason I would want to buy a PS5 or build a gaming PC. I need to experience this.
Can’t believe fortnite made Radiohead
This was one of the most pleasant surprises to come out of 2021, thanks Vinny for allowing us to enjoy it together. I'm currently studying electronic music and production here in Italy and this allowed Radiohead to become one of my most favorite bands
OK Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows are the Holy Trinity of Radiohead albums.
How cool is it when your favorite streamer plays a game about your favorite band? This is awesome!
and to even know the band
Radiohead feel like the kind of band I’d listen to, like, but rarely come back to.
Certain music I have to be in the right emotional state to appreciate. That and some songs you really have to stop and listen to to get the full effect. With how easily distracted I can get that’s hard for me to do.
You know you would think that, but then you end up listening to them over and over again. I would highly recommend going through some of their best work if you haven't already, such as Kid A, OK Computer, In Rainbows, Amnesiac, and The Bends. Hell listen to their whole discography if you want, but those are the most special to me personally.
@@Xxbte96xX I know me well enough to know this is how my brain works with music
@@slimcognito383 I mean theyve got music for all kinds of people, moods, occasions, this era is just a more "oh my fucking god nothing is real and im going to die alone" kind of vibe :)
Huge Radiohead fan,
Thank you, had high hopes I'd get to see it with you on the other side.
Thank you for bringing Radiohead to the ears of the people, Vinesauce. So cool to see this little known band finally getting the recognition it deserves!
This game made me fall on love with Radiohead all over again, and also take a closer look at their artistic achievements. This is just beautiful, i'm so glad it happened
I was hoping for new blips when this album came out and we got this instead. It's PERFECT. ❤️
they did have some blips on their twitter
Vinesauce and Radiohead are like two of my favourite things, now I get to experience both at the same time!
Sucks that he missed the TLW part of Pulk and didn't look at all the art in that area, but it was nice for him to finally play this nonetheless.
"Pulled/Pork Revolving Doors" is a cool song so yeah I wouldn't mind more of that.
TLW???
@@Deathtank75 true love waits
He was soo close to hearing it too
hearing vinny talk about wanting to do a red vox type game for his album is commendable and interesting, imean we always make the jokes about how vinyort is the funny pizza pasta man, but when he creates something its fricken magical, and i would totally pay upwards of like, a full price of modern game + whatever the album costs to see what kinda interesting visuals would befit such.
I only knew Radiohead from a few songs before this, but now I'm intrigued to give their whole discography a try. I like watching you play all the funny stuff, Vinny, but watching this with all your input was certainly one of the most enjoyable experiences for me. Thank you
god, i fucking love kid a. one of my favourite albums of all time, so i’m glad it’s being introduced to a new audience through this
25 years of Radiohead surprising me at every turn. It's why they're my favorite. What a brilliant experience.
i was broken up with in september, radio head quite literally prevented me from doing something crazy a few months ago. it's 3 in the morning, im bawling. this is beautiful, and i will never amount to anything remotely as beautiful as this art. i wish i could say goodbye, but i am weak. so i guess i'll stay.
Im with you...ive been bawling half the time ive been watching this...please dont do anything though, i just want to let you know i am with you in this...
Thom's bobbling head from tiny cinema could make a GREAT emote.
This was fucking amazing, thanks for playing this Vinny. I love Radiohead so much. Appreciate the time you spent in the sections you did visit

This was amazing to watch, since my computer couldn't handle it and was like playing a slideshow. Still can't believe how well this works (especially with one of my favorite albums) and makes me wonder what potential this could bring. This was absolutely beautiful. I can't help but think of what a TOOL version would be like...
I love experiencing good music with my favorite youtubers. Thanks Vin.
Spent a lot of time in exhibit halls like that at parties and events. This felt like a time capsule.
Man going in I didn't know I'd get emotional at points! But I sure did. I think it was the visuals in those moments that really got me, it helped the vibe even more. Sometimes it's good to just experience those moments and just feel, that's the power music can have on you. Thanks so much for sharing this Vin, this was amazing.
i hope more band do something like this. imagine a game in this style with Pink Floyd songs.
proud to see radiohead dip their feet in the egglike genre
amnesiac aoty every year baby
The album makes a lot more sense now
thanks for installing egs for the rest of us Vinny
As a RH fan It was the most beutifull experience I've ever had with radiohead to see thom and stans art work come to life was like a dream come true
2 things:
1. we need more albums released like this, one of the best uses of the walking simulator genre i've seen.
2. VR should be mandatory and Coop experience would be incredible
This is one of the rare video games that made me feel like I was in some kind of trance. This, Abzu and Sayonara Wild Hearts captivated me and hit me really hard emotionally. Great experiences.
That is so crazy that optimistic played when u went into the little cinema because my favorite song, Idioteque, played when I went in lol
when I got to how to disappear completely in the museum, I was already a big fan of the song, but when it was paired with those visuals, I felt a sadness like I was watching my own memories being wiped away.
I should be thankful my memories are intact but now I have to remember live action cowboy bebop
This was such a cool experience. I hope more artists do a project like this. I would love a Gorillaz experience like this
26:00 surprised you didn't recognize that wasn't the album version and it sounded amazing. i would definitely introduce someone to radiohead with that.
just listening to How to Disappear Completely and what vinny said right before it started get me a bit teary eyed not gonna lie
Coming back to this, i think the little room with the tv and live performance of Optimistic is awesome because you can also watch most of the ads or bleeps they did for the release of KID A.
Really beautiful experience, I loved it. Wonder what happened to Knives Out, I Might Be Wrong or Dollars and Cents, but that's honestly a small criticism when the stuff that's in here is so good
if you haven't played this, please do before you watch the stream. Experiencing all of this blind with your own choices is an ethereal experience, and this has become one of my favourite games ever because of the atmosphere it makes. play it now, the video will still be here when you come back.
this game actually pulled something out of me. Now I can see songs with constant stories inside them, its almost impossible now to imagine what songs used to look like to me, all I can no hear and see his stories, tons of stories just pulled out of every song, and every sound you can hear the musical rhythm of a human being and animals and creatures and the world
this is incredible
The 'game' was Thom's idea according to the credits and the art is done by Stanley Donwood. Just some info for those curious
The visuals are so amazingly wonderful.
coming here after watching jacob geller's video and thinking "huh this game sounds like something vinny would like"
Dude, knowing you’re a Radiohead fan too just made you like 1,000 times cooler in my books.
Jesus Christ this game made me feel feelings that I can't explain all I can say is this was a beautiful work of art and how vinny ended it couldn't be more fitting
It's fucking unbelievable that the only channel that streamed this channel is a sister channel of vinesauce, my favourite collection of channels, and you're streaming a game made by my favourite band of all time.
So glad they included the album ver of Spinning Plates. Literally my fav song from them
Damn, imagine if this was the standard album experience. You want to show a friend a new or old album you've found? You take them by the wrist and pull them inside of it.
this whole thing ruled but the You and Whose Army? section was fucking amazing. Also the deer people look very similar to the strangers in Echoes of the Eye lol.
This put me on to Radiohead. Thank you Vinny.
beautiful. i got into the band very recently via a friend and one of my favorite things i got out of it was kid a and amnesiac. watching this exhibition got me to appreciate those albums a lot more :)
as a big fan of these two albums this was one of the best experiences of my life
You know this already Vin but I just gotta say, your music got me through some shit, I appreciate you.
