- Hello, this is a kinda weird video I guess, its Bette and Joan but its not really them but there's footage of them, I tried to tied certain aspects of the showsl into their real lives.
Thank you Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon for protrayaling Joan and Bette with sensitivity and grace.
This video is kinda of a mess but I hope it makes sense in the end. Overall I enjoyed the show, for its inaccuraties in some ares I feel the overall message and impact of the show was good and so I enjoyed it overall.

Joan Crawford... we love you.
So does Satan!
I'm crying right now... just liked I cried through the finale of Feud. And yes, I feel like they were sisters under the skin - just like Blanche and Baby Jane, they kept hurting each other, and they missed the great opportunity of actually becoming friends. Bette couldn't forgive, and Joan was too fragile and proud to ask for it... They were each other's reflections they couldn't stand.
Feud finale was the most moving and beautiful hour in recent years of television.
I agree and I have rewatched the finale 3 times.
I feel like them. And I happen to be a daughter and granddaughter of proud people.
lovely tribute to the two stars. thank you!
I think they understood each other. And, in my experience of life, you don't always like those whom you understand. What's the phrase....??? Oh yes, "Familiarity breeds contempt."
You are so handsome!! :-P
You are very wise!
I think you nailed it. happiness is quite a tricky concept . all of the things we think will bring it , maybe its only felt for short moments . curse ,blessing , somewhere in-between
I wish your breathtaking montage was played after the final episode. It's artistically and emotionally best tribute possible. I hope Susan and Jessica see it...
Excellent idea. This is great
Oops! I didn't see your comment, Deva7, before I inserted mine above. Indeed, a "breathtaking montage" Deva7!!
I've played it three times....and, also, I love the musical accompaniment...it embraces both the sweet and melancholy.
Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon did these great ladies justice. The Feud series had so many powerful scenes and this montage is so artfully done. "She may be the only person in the entire world who knows how you feel right now..." "I'm sorry I wasn't more generous with you." "I wish I'd been a friend to you..."
Oh how I wish they had been great friends to each other. "You will always be young, you will always be beautiful... a goddess of your time."
What a beautiful tribute to four iconic actresses! I am endlessly fascinated by the life and legacy of Joan Crawford.
Come on!! Every time I watch this video my heart breaks and cry...
"Legends all", the price they paid though...
What is this quote? i’ve always wanted to know?
Hedda Harper said it on the final episode.
@@alanleggate7982 Hedda Harper said it to Joan on the last episode
I was going to say something crude in response to "Who would want to Eff that "...what a put down !! But instead I have to praise you for such wonderful montage Tribute to these Screen Icons. You chose some super Close-ups to give the essence and differences of both stars ! Well done !
What a great tribute to these great ladies of the screen..Bette David and Joan Crawford, there will never be great talent like these two legends possessed ...these two ladies of the screen were truly MOVIE STARS. Beautifully done! Thank you.
This edit is heartbreaking. My heart aches for them two 💓
Bettie wanted the beauty and Joan wanted the talent they were a reflection of each other. I wonder if they knew it. That's why they admire each other. Didnt like each other but had respect for one another. I salute them both!
If both of them weren’t so filled with anger and could see through what the Hollywood execs were doing to them if they worked together and became friends there would be no stopping these two. Just imagine all the great films they could’ve done together. God bless them both and may they rest in peace. Legends forever
maybe in the parallel universe, they are best of friends. this just made me cry.
Every time I watch this montage my eyes starts to tear up! It's so emotional and sad! Love you Bette and Joan.
This brought me to tears. Beautifully done; a work of art.
lovely, I have tears in my eyes....
I LOVED Jessica and Susan's performances in the mini series...how sad that Bette and Joan were such rivals when they were so alike...hope Jessica & Susan win Emmy's....everyone in the cast was wonderful...thank you for this beautiful tribute. 🌷
June Lynn ikr and the worst part about their feud was that they became enemies for others to feed off on.
does anybody know if either actress got an Emmy??
@@windstorm1000 Both Lange and Sarandon were nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie in the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards. Unfortunately, two nominees from the same production in the same category have a tendency to split the vote. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feud_(TV_series)#Accolades

Norma Shearer was more of a rival to Joan Crawford since they were both at MGM and they both sought after the same film roles. Throughout the 1930s Crawford complained frequently that because of Norma being the wife of MGM producer Irving Thalberg, she was forever locked into the number-two spot when it came to good scripts and money spent. "Big-budget costume meant Norma, low-budget ex-shop girl meant me." Some of the roles she lost to Shearer were Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Marie Antoinette, both popular and prestigious hits that Crawford envied. Another Shearer role that Crawford missed out on was Juliet Capulet in _Romeo and Juliet_ . At the premiere, Crawford said to her pal Constance Bennett, "I couldn't wait for those two old turkeys to die, could you?" When Thalberg died prematurely at age 37, Crawford was delighted his widow would no longer have first dibs on scripts. However when she found out Shearer snagged the lead role in _Idiot's Delight_ , she headed straight to MGM head honcho Louis B. Mayer and complained, "The role calls for an ex-chorus girl. That's _me_ ! Norma can't sing. Norma can't dance." Mayer explained to Joan what Norma _could_ do. In his will, Thalberg left Shearer his bloc of MGM stock. If peeved, Norma could vote against Mayer. So to make Norma happy, she would continue to get first crack at all MGM properties. "Christ," said Joan, "she really rode through this studio on his balls, didn't she?"
@@RaymondHng Yet, in the end, it was Crawford who would go on to outgrow MGM and become a larger-than-life Hollywood icon, while Norma's fame still remains locked up in the proverbial MGM film vaults.
This is one of the most poignant videos I have ever seen. You really captured the mastery they each had over their art, the sacrifices they made for their art, and the price they would each end up paying because of their art. Bravo!
I never get tired of watching this. Thank you!
I have such a heavy heart for these two Iconic Legends! Beautifully done!
This was beautifully done.
This was beautiful. I have no words.
YOU ARE AN ARTIST. Thank you for your all magnificent videos.
I am so grateful for this series to introduce me to such legendary women !! It breaks my heart that in real life Bette and Joan maybe could have been friends, if they were can you imagine what a powerful force they could have been. I love this series so much... Jessica and Susan did a spectacular performance in portraying them respectively... I loved every second of it !!
Oh, how I wish they would rerun the series. Secondhandroses, you created something beautiful with this video. Thank you!
I absolutely love this. Feud was so good. Love Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford. These tributes you make keep getting better and better.
Wonderfully done ❤️
Corey Ristic they renew season 2 of Feud is about the Feud of Princess Diana and Prince Charles it starts with the divorce
Corey Ristic ...yes. Bette Davis character practically a supporting character. Jessica Lange STOLE this one.
2.99 for each episode! Damn, I’ll wait!
It's funny isn't it how we all can relate to this without being actors or actresses. Those who feel beautiful and those who feel ugly. There's no worse feeling than someone telling you you're ugly. Whether you know it or not. Likewise when someone tells you you're talentless. Regardless of your trade in life. Talent and/or beauty can never stop the envy we have for others.
That’s sad! Bette Davis was gorgeous in my own eyes! People are so mean!
best clip on you tube about feud. wonderful. so beautiful and sad at the same time. its an honour to play Joan Crawford and Bette Davis and its an honour to be remembered because of / played by Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon.
The sad part, had pride and ego not gotten in the way, they might've been good friends
Bette Davis and her co-star on _Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte_ , Olivia de Haviland were good friends. She was also good friends with her co-star on _All About Eve_ , Anne Baxter.
Beautiful tribute to Bette and Joan. It brought me to tears. I loved every minute of Feud. Jessica and Susan were fabulous! So disappointed that Feud was snubbed at the Emmy's.
Loving, sensitive, touching work.
great montage. there are several good things that are coming out of this mini series--one of them is that two great actresses have been rediscovered by fans and newly discovered by a new generation who will watch their films and enjoy their talents!
This is so well done:) We won’t know every word spoken or every moment these two shared off the silver screen, but maybe deep down they truly wanted to care for one another..they both had just been so deeply hurt in their own lives that they didn’t know how to show it. Moral of the story is, if you can show love towards someone and get beyond pride and ones own insecurities, show them that love. You could change their lives forever.
What a wonderful montage to their intersection. Beautifully done.
Wonderful performances.
My heart goes out to Joan.
BingBing BongBong, Bette too.
This is stunning. And for once it was about both of them equally. Normally the people who make these videos are biased to one or the other.
10/10.thank you
Loved the editing of the real voices of these legends in the video.
By the end of the season, you really wished Bette and Joan had become friends.
Such a beautiful edit, so heartfelt ♥️♥️♥️ can someone tell me what the last lines are in this please, all I can get is ‘You will always be young, Always be beautiful, I can’t figure out the rest until the bit at the end that says Legends All x
JOAN AND BETTE BOTH GREAT LEGENDS AND BETTER THEN TODAY'S STARS
This was beautifully done!! I wish the producers of "Feud" would have done something similar by inserting brief movies clips of the real Davis and Crawford into the scenes. Again, congrats to a beautiful tribute to Bette and Joan!!
What an amazing performance from Lange. Just immense.
Bravo! A well constructed homage to two unforgettable characters in the Golden Age of Hollywood. A fitting tribute as the final episode of The Feud showed us how each of these women were caught in a web of their own making and lost the chance to love & support each other instead of tearing each other down at every step of their careers. Sad how it all came to pass and how quickly fame & celebrity fade away. Carrie Fisher wisely said, “Celebrity is just obscurity biding its time”
So very well said.
great quote by Carrie--and SO true--and yet we have these great performances that belie that---we will watch these movies for another 100 years as Bette and Joan were great!
Two great actress.
The "STARS" don't quite shimmer the same these days.
Jessica is absolutely extraordinary....She's a truly "Diva".
Omg... this brought me to tears. How beautiful. ❤
Joan we l9ve u
These ladies were both beautiful and talented. It’s too bad they didn’t become friends. Thanks for the video. ♥️
I watched this again tonight and it's still brilliant. Many thanks for this touching and beautiful video.
I'm obsessed!❤😢
I hope Jessica Lange wins the Emmy for this!
I have to say this was the absolute best series I have ever watched....IF only there was more of it!!!
Beautiful. Thank you for putting this together.
Bette wanted to be more beautiful. Joan wanted to be more talented. They were both lonely and miserable. I didn’t even know they were friends. So much in common. I’m very lonely but I’m not a famous movie star haha this show is amazing!!
Girl you certenly have done it again, BRAVO! I ADORE THIS!
I dont know who i am ... when i by myself.... i cried and cried and cried ... what a truthful line ..
Thank you for sharing this; it makes me cry. Beautiful project.
I admire and adore the talent of both of these actresses, it has always been my fantasy that they would have been friends.
Thank you for putting this together.... This is so touching. Beautiful
Thankyou, this is a fabulous piece. So well thought out and just beautiful :-)
This is so touching. I’m ugly crying right now, and I’m not ashamed of it. ❤️
That was dope af 🔥🔥🔥
You brought tears to my eyes! Again... This was so beautiful, emotional... thank you for that ❤
Oh, my god, I just LOVE this. I'm sharing it everywhere!
such a moving tribute, you really captured some really sad parts of her life and their vulnerability
I watched the entire series, and really loved it. This was and is a true classic.
That opening sequence was the best of the entire series. They had so much in common that they couldn't see.
I always thought that Bette and Joan should have always worked together from the beginning, especially against each other. Just imagine how it could have drawn viewers' attention. Then they probably would have learned to like each other off screens by agreeing how much attention they gotten from viewers.
I love the Two!!! One was as big as the other!
Secondhandroses, this was thoughtful and beautiful. Congratulations!
this was absolutely amazing! I love it!😍❤❤❤
Faye Dunaway interpretou Joan Crawford magistralmente em "Mamãezinha Querida"
Isso mesmo, pena que ela foi prejudicada por aquela atuação.
This is incredible. Thank you for doing this.
That was really beautiful.
Thank you.
BEAUTIFUL PIECE!!! It is completely compelling.
Absolutely stunning, thank you.
Beautifully done.
Oh god, Yanisa, you've done it again. I nearly cried at the ending
JOAN ❤🌷❤
I am in this business and I’m here to tell you it’s not about beauty, of course the studios love beauty, but it’s always about talent. Pure raw talent!
Sarandon sounds just like Davis, it's chilling
BEAUTIFUL! Thank you! 💜
"Being alone doesn't mean having to be lonely."
This was absolutely beautiful! I think Bette and Joan were more alike then they would ever like to admit and I wish so much things had been different for them. Thank you for this video.
This is lovely, but as for Sisters Under the Skin: Several years ago I interviewed critic Judith Crist, who was friends with both Bette & Joan. I actually suggested to her that the two stars were sisters under the skin and Crist balked at that. She said they were too different to be friends. As an example she said when she talked with Bette it was about politics and a variety of other subjects, while Joan spent one long conversation talking about herlecent dental work. Crist liked them both, but felt they shared only superficial qualities.
Beautiful Job telling the story and editing
I wish we could tell them how much they will always be adored.
Looking forward In seeing this in England when it airs I adore Bette she was beautiful and a fab actress Two fab ladies although Bette always my fave. They seemed two Tortured souls. I bet deep down they really liked each other two stubborn to admit it.
Beautiful. For once, I don't have any words. 😓
This was very beautiful!
I loved it, it's incredble that they had many things in common and they could not be big friends, however they could make on film together, and not just one film, a great movie.
On really they had a hard life. But they did it the great way
Someone posted this on Facebook on a FEUD page. Giving you full credit, of course, it's how I found this. Your work is utterly amazing. As a veteran video editor in Los Angeles, I want to say how truly moved I was by your work. Bravo. :)
thank you so much that means a lot
Just lovely....well done!
So sad how the public thought these two women had everything and get they didn't . 😧
Wonderfull
Marvelous! Thank you!
Joan Crawford THE BEST FOREVERRRRR
Very well done. Thanks
