Hmmm…surprised by this but also not really 😂. I think Mabrey adds additional shooting for the Sun but idk I’m not sold on it, Marina’s shooting has been inconsistent this year. She may possibly find her spots better with the Sun as they have a good floor general in A. Thomas. I shall wait and see how it plays out 😊
I think she took a while adjusting to playing with a new roster and a prolific scorer like Carter. She was starting to find her rhythm recently tho and it showed.
She wasn't giving her all often she did what she felt like doing at the time. She had some great games and then it was those games that made you just go 🤔🤔

From someone who’s only seen CT play a handful of times, I think the biggest thing they’ve needed is just bench depth. Now with Mabrey, I think they have a really good chance of making the championship game!

Seattle isn't a lock but if they get rolling this playoffs will be a good one. Clearly injuries have limited Mo Jeff who imo, is better than Allen. It wasn't long ago Mo Jeff walked into Minny and saved their season when they had no PG. I thought they would have kept her but didn't. The Sky wins this trade because Spoon will reignite Banham's confidence because that's what she's done so far for others. Even with Maybrey the Chicago sky actually under achieved in my opinion. They have the ability to beat any of the 7 teams currently in the playoffs....Chennedy and if they cardosa to play at her potential....you know what angel is going to give you...add some bench scoring and they can get it done.

@bjgray7954 Mercury is a big challenge because they have KFC, Griner, & Taurasi. Chicago could easily slip up and beat anyone else. Mabrey is not that one. The 2 additions will be huge. TSpoon knows how to motivate her players. I've seen what Banham can do when given freedom and what a healthy Jefferson can do. They got rid of Maybrey and got 2 PGs that most importantly can shoot. Carter can handle the roc as well Dana at 2 as needed. I see floor spacing. Anyway, we'll see what the 2nd half has in store because the Sky got a steal. Maybrey isn't adding anything to that stacked Sun team. If so, what is it cause it didn't show in Chicago. This trade opened up playing time for others that are key to the Sky's success. With these guards that can shoot and pass, Angel will thrive. If all you are going off is stats, we not and won't be on the same page. Stats mean nothing to me in this case because I know what I know. I'm not new to this. Banham was buried on the Lynx bench and Mo Jo riddled with injuries, so those stats don't mean nothing. Watch how fluid that offense will become and defense. I forgot about Allen. Man you and anybody else doubting these additions are sleep.
I always suspected that she was missing those free throws on purpose. Not only that, one game When the Sky won in the last moments of the game, all the girls were jumping up and we’re excited, but Marina wasn’t excited. Puzzles me that somebody can shoot 3’ but miss free throws.

I’m not so sure how much this really helps the Sky build for the future. It’s definitely not about Banham and Jefferson since they’re older and don’t really match the Reese-Carter-Cardoso timeline. A lot depends on how valuable that 2025 Sun 1st round pick turns out to be. One reason to be pessimistic is that the Sun are probably going to make a deep playoff run so that pick is likely to be a very late 1st rounder. The other theory I had was this opened up cap space off of Mabrey’s $200k+ contract that locked them up next year, but the Banham-Jefferson contracts are also guaranteed and are MORE than Mabrey’s contract. I want to say the Sky could have gotten MORE for Mabrey, but I’m not sure. For the Sun, it’s definitely win now. If they don’t win, I don’t see them keeping 5 players with $200k+ contracts (Jones, Bonnor, Thomas, Mabrey, and Carrington probably since her contract is up and will look for more money). If the Sun don’t win the championship, you might see a complete teardown.
I just wanted to comment on your second point. Think about it like this - the Sky now have a full roster and the 2 new players' contracts combined are not that much more than Mabrey's (about 235k combined to around 210k for Marina). If they had kept Maybrey they still would have 1 roster spot to fill and that would have been much more costly. (Not sure if I explained that well 😅).
It helps their future because they now have 3 vets, 2 active, to help influence the young players. And 2 first round picks are still first round picks. There's not that many teams or rounds so there will be options, Kate Martin being a current example. Plus, they'll likely let Dana's contract run out since it's her last year. So that's another spot to bring in a hungry dawg.
They are realizing Reese and Carter are pieces only. Time to get Paige or someone to lead them to the next level. Mabrey is my 2nd favorite player in the league behind Clark so I'm very happy she gets to play with professionals rather than wannabe influencers.

There have been so many lottery picks who get waived or bounce around from team to team. While that 2025 Sun pick will be a late first rounder, that 2026 pick could be decent especially if the Sun and Mercury fail to win championships in the next year and decide to break up their team and rebuild.
@@Theamericanglassguy This line of thinking doesn’t really make sense because if anything, it’s the opposite and they’re giving more of a green light on Carter-Reese-Cardoso to take over the team by moving off of an expensive contract player who was being paid All-WNBA type money for not even All-Star level production. If you’re paying someone max level money, you expect them to give you at least All-Star level production, which wasn’t happening. But yes, they’ll need more pieces to build that championship level team, which they hope to do through the draft.
I think that the just because these ladies are bench players, they could eventually become starters in line with Chennedy! I’m hoping these new additions will make a huge impact. We are missing a good 3 pt shooter so once 2025 comes around Chicago will be complete and a force!
IMO, Mabrey would be great coming off the bench. She has to shoot a lot, which takes the ball out of CC's hand. Mabrey is definitely a liability on defense. She runs around and chases, but she can't contain a lightening bug.
It’s simple. That little guard is tearing it up and iis being co-signed and connected to Terce. Marina also is selling in crunch time by missing key free throws or plays from time to time. She sees the youth movement but the sky will contend for the title in 2026-2027. They can get 2 players next season that will make key differences.
Carter is playing her behind off sometime this young lady doesn't show up offensively as well as defensively sometimes she don't show up I like what you just said she is not a defensive stopper that's why I would pick and roll screen and roll she gets caught in the mess she doesn't bring the shooting all the time it's been slumps I've seen them play where you want to see her knock down some shots and she's just missing I think Chicago made out good
I don't think that we are done trading. I would have asked for Ty Harris in the trade. She would have been the point gaurd we needed Also I think our team is going to actually get better because Michaela needs to get more playing time. She will make us better defensively. Not at all, Mabrey is a pure pro and now she's surrounded by real professionals. She also now plays for a legitimate coach who won't sacrifice wins for records or Stat padding. So happy for Mabrey.
Even in the last few games where Mabry fans are claiming how well she performed, well it was more of her starting Fast and FADING even faster. This was the BEST move for best parties. I don't think she would have EVER fit well with the Sky.
The Sky are better than me; when I first heard of this trade, I was bummed by the return, especially since the Sun pick is projected 11th rn? which is basically just a second round pick. but i figured they were doing right by Mabrey, sending her to a contender… but bruh, she REQUESTED a trade??? They should’ve packaged her with the 2025 second along with the 26th first to get one of the mystics top 4 picks. Garbage trade for the sky, especially considering what they gave up to get Mabrey. Excellent trade by the Sun, they fleeced us.
Marina's never really been on a championship contending team in the W, so I imagine she finally decided she didn't want to be on another rebuilding team and requested the trade. Also, when Wade screwed with all the draft prospects in order to acquire her and then hopped ship midseason for the MNBA, I have a feeling she realized there was no intention of her being a focal building block. Then T-Spoon decides her move this season is to build from scratch, but Marina wanted to win right now. So, even though I'm sad Marina is gone, I think the trade makes sense for both teams in terms of intentions and motivation.
I think this is a great trade for the Sky. With two #1 draft picks in the next draft, the Sky can get a top notch PG & a really good 3 & D small forward. The future for the Sky is looking real good.
The only Pg worth anything is Paige, and the Sky won’t be in position to draft her. Miles is ok but she doesn’t move the needle for me. The other Pg’s in the draft are too small to make an impact.

The low picks they get will barely see the court for 1-2 years and won't avg over 5 ppg. You don't trade for picks to a winning team like the Sun! Paige is going to expansion Toronto I will watch her games almost as much as I've seen Clarks (all of them).
I think the sky have been having trouble finding good offensive outside of the paint, so adding a TRUE point guard and a really good outside shooter will help Chicago tremendously with their offense. Also now the Michaela is off the bench and getting minutes I still think the Sky are in playoff talks. Yes we are not winning the title this year but I wouldn’t count us out just yet, I think this team can go far

@@Lilquan2004 it’s somewhat different. Chennedy has been bounced from two W teams already because of her volatility. Think of that-- a player of her ability told to get lost by two teams. She must have been, at least then, a corrosive force on her teams. Cardoso will be fine if the Sky develop her, let her play more. Angel is, of course, very talented and will hopefully rein in her ego and drama queen tendencies as time goes on.
Since she wanted out then im glad she gone. Rumors were that she was throwing games. I don't like the players we gained in exchange but id rather have players that wanna be here vs those that throw games
To me this trade is about Chennedy Carter and the future her elevation to a starter and her style of play took the ball away from Mabrey who was leading the team early in the season. So right now you have a fairly young core of Reese, Carter, Cardso . Banham makes sense her overall skill set while a notch lower and less consistent is similar to Mabrey so if Mabrey was to become a third option then is she over paid for that role and too much of an asset for that role. Also Deshields is starting to look healthier so I think that played a roll too. Will they be much worse without Mabrey ..they will not be "as good" but they might still be strong enough to hold #8..Then there is the issue of the Wings ..if Dallas gets healthy over the next month they could easily make a run to #8 or #7 they have the talent if healthy- And I don't think Mabrey would be enough to stave that off so picking up some capital for Mabrey is sensible. If Chicago was a contender it might have been different but they are not this year.
I think the second overall pick has untapped talent. I expect her to click with coach spoon and be a better player than we traded. Coach player fit. I expect Marina to play easier and freer and more effectively on the sun too.
I think this is a Major _addition by subtraction_ transaction. Onyenwere gets more playing time. No more Dana. Angel will have 🏀 A LOT more in a playmaking capacity. Kamilla more shots.

To me Sky won in this because Mabrey likes playing hero ball at the wrong times and this attitude ain’t good for a team rebuilding.. Also I think she realized the sky was building around Angel,Kamilla and Chennedy thus leaving her so it’s a win win situation.. Besides we have seen how they be refusing to pass to the bigs in the last few games ..it’s good she left and I pray Sky surprises us and do well in the second half of the season

There were times when she was trying to say something to them, Carter and Reese, and they were acting like they were ignoring her. Probably got tired of it.
Marina she plays defense in the 1st quarter after that she just seems not interested. And on her shooting, in regular games she's decent, but tough games she will be the reason 6 or 7 possession you will go down by 5 because if she misses a three she will continue to shoot even though she's off..
This trade makes the Sun Mabrey's 4th team in 5yrs. Think about that. That's not good, people. And I'm sure there is a very good reason why teams have no issues with moving on from her.
Another factor is the SKy could end up in the lottery, the lottery is decided based on a 2 year record. Last year the Sky were the 5th worst team. But two of the teams are doing much better than last year and likely will not be in the lottery (Storm and Mercury). Right now the most likely teams in lottery for top 3 lottery odds are Mystics(they also have the Dream's Pick), Sparks, then the next group in contention for the 4th lottery pick would be between Fever, Sky, and maybe Mercury if their injuries do not clear up over break (they had by far worst record last year so they don't need to be in the bottom 4 this year to make lottery.) Right now by trading away Mabrey i am not saying it is tanking but it does make it look like the SKY could be that 4th team. Now if they got a miracle they would take Paige ..But if we are realistic and say they end up at #4 or #5 ..Its probably a Notre Dame player (Miles or Citron) or Fudd if her knees are fully recovered and she can g the entire season with no issues. Depending on who uses medical redshirts that draft could be loaded with good PGs (Miles, Bueckers, Harmon, PaoPao, Amore) Paige is the jewel of the class but I think Miles has great vision and size, Amore is quick, Pao Pao can shoot, and Harmon is gritty and can break down a defense.

Yes she did want to leave. I would watch Mabrey deliberately make turnovers, deliberately make bad passes, and dilberately miss shots early in the season. I would say when I watched her early on i would say is she trying to lose on purpose. It was clear she did not care to be on the team. But right before her trade all of a sudden she starts to show up. When she finally got word she was going to be traded she started playing like Mabrey, to make herself look good to be wanted by another team. I feel Mabrey early on was why the reason sky lost games they should have won. She purposely was not trying to score. When you watched a player for a while you understand how they play, even to the nature of their shooting mechanics. Mabrey early on was nonchalant shooting the ball as if she didn't care. And many of those games if she scored like she usually had been would have resulted in victories. I do understand why she wanted to leave. Do you noticed that the guards are very selfish, Reese, Mabrey and others wide open and the guards will look at them and will not pass them the ball. There is a lot about meism on the team and Mabrey does not want to be part of it. Reese, the woman with the brace (i can't remember her name) and Mabrey in that win over the Aces were open all night. They would post up no pass. Mabrey was shooting lights out what happened later well your open Mabrey and yes you're own tonight but we're not passing although you're over there wide open. To many selfish players, mostly guards who main job is to find the open players.

. Seattle laid back and let Reese get her 10th rebound with under a minute left and the game decided. One game Reese was given a defensive rebound after the game was over. Box Score said 9. Magically, the rebound appears. The Sky is losing by 13 with 15 seconds left and Carter is dribbling out the game and Reese is posting up. Another player passes her the ball and the defender fouls her for no reason.There was another defender right there. Reese shoots 40% and was not scoring over them. The Liberty wasn't going along w\ the fraud. And it's not just one.
I don’t think the Sky try to win every game. They bench players at weird times. And they focus on propping up one players stats… while good for that players. Everyone on the team isn’t good with playing that way.
Michaela has been playing great, and she needed more minutes. She will be a better fit at the Wing anyway. After this trade we have no more open roster spots.

Good thing for SKY ... Mabrey is a stop for the evolution of many new players in SKY Team ... With her gone, SKY can now develop a real game involving the true futur assets (A.GREESE, CHEN.CARTER, CAM.KARDOSO ... MITHCEL and Others). It's time to develop another game style and not heavily rely on less efficient 3-pt shooting. Great pickup for the Sun. That imo puts them atop of the EAST above the Liberty. Chicago just went from a solid team to just avg as probably won’t make the playoffs

Quita, you hit the nail on the head. This is a WIN NOW season. Especially when you see that AT, DeWanna, Tiffany Mitchell, and Brionna Jones are ALL Unrestricted Free Agents after this season. DiJonai is a restricted free agent as well. Mabrey still has a year left on her current deal that balloons to $210K next season.
addition by subtraction. mabry was a liability. her cardio was bad. her strength was bad (players would bully her and steal the ball from her). she was a 4th quarter/ clutch time choke. in press conferences, she never took accountability for her bad play and blamed teammates. overall i love the trade and hope they can get flaujae and/or pao pao. another thing, we need to find Jasmine Carson! she would be perfect for this team. she can shoot lights out and is not afraid of the clutch moments. also, i believe mabry and them other two peanut headed PGs were/are jealous saboteurs who hated all the attention angel and cardoso are getting. Mabrey adds nothing, I mean nothing to a stacked team. Getting rid of Mabrey allows Chicago to protect their core in the expansion draft. Only 6 players were able to be protected in the last expansion. Chicago is in better shape today than yesterday.

This is a good trade, as CT sun fan we needed a solid 3pt shooter. Rachel was very inconsistent this season. Jefferson never played because of injury.
Mabrey is also inconsistent
From someone who’s only seen CT play a handful of times, I think the biggest thing they’ve needed is just bench depth. Now with Mabrey, I think they have a really good chance of making the championship game!

@brandonleemoss Idk what people think about the Sun. As long as what they had stayed healthy, they had a chance but the Championship goes through at least 4 teams. Seattle isn't a lock but if they get rolling this playoffs will be a good one. Clearly injuries have limited Mo Jeff who imo, is better than Allen. It wasn't long ago Mo Jeff walked into Minny and saved their season when they had no PG. I thought they would have kept her but didn't. The Sky wins this trade because Spoon will reignite Banham's confidence because that's what she's done so far for others. The Sky addressed the need for floor spacing which is vital and fixed the mess Wade created to get nothing. This idea of the Sky conceding is a bit premature and short sighted.
Even with Maybrey the Chicago sky actually under achieved in my opinion. They have the ability to beat any of the 7 teams currently in the playoffs....Chennedy and if they cardosa to play at her potential....you know what angel is going to give you...add some bench scoring and they can get it done.
Preseason the Sky were ranked as being last in the league.. They have been over achieving.
I believe the Sky overachieved with Mabrey. Maybrey was not going to get the Sky over the hump. Wade overpaid Mabrey imho because she is not a star quality type player. Never has been.

@bjgray7954 Mercury is a big challenge because they have KFC, Griner, & Taurasi. Chicago could easily slip up and beat anyone else. Mabrey is not that one. The 2 additions will be huge. TSpoon knows how to motivate her players. I've seen what Banham can do when given freedom and what a healthy Jefferson can do. They got rid of Maybrey and got 2 PGs that most importantly can shoot. Carter can handle the roc as well Dana at 2 as needed. I see floor spacing. Anyway, we'll see what the 2nd half has in store because the Sky got a steal. Maybrey isn't adding anything to that stacked Sun team. If so, what is it cause it didn't show in Chicago. This trade opened up playing time for others that are key to the Sky's success. With these guards that can shoot and pass, Angel will thrive. If all you are going off is stats, we not and won't be on the same page. Stats mean nothing to me in this case because I know what I know. I'm not new to this. Banham was buried on the Lynx bench and Mo Jo riddled with injuries, so those stats don't mean nothing. Watch how fluid that offense will become and defense. I forgot about Allen. Man you and anybody else doubting these additions are sleep.

I always suspected that she was missing those free throws on purpose. Not only that, one game When the Sky won in the last moments of the game, all the girls were jumping up and we’re excited, but Marina wasn’t excited. Puzzles me that somebody can shoot 3’ but miss free throws.
She's a good FT shooter but not clutch.
Free throws are mental. 10,000 people staring at you. 3 pointers happen in the flow of the game. IMHO

I’m not so sure how much this really helps the Sky build for the future. It’s definitely not about Banham and Jefferson since they’re older and don’t really match the Reese-Carter-Cardoso timeline. A lot depends on how valuable that 2025 Sun 1st round pick turns out to be. One reason to be pessimistic is that the Sun are probably going to make a deep playoff run so that pick is likely to be a very late 1st rounder.
The other theory I had was this opened up cap space off of Mabrey’s $200k+ contract that locked them up next year, but the Banham-Jefferson contracts are also guaranteed and are MORE than Mabrey’s contract. I want to say the Sky could have gotten MORE for Mabrey, but I’m not sure.
For the Sun, it’s definitely win now. If they don’t win, I don’t see them keeping 5 players with $200k+ contracts (Jones, Bonnor, Thomas, Mabrey, and Carrington probably since her contract is up and will look for more money). If the Sun don’t win the championship, you might see a complete teardown.
I just wanted to comment on your second point. Think about it like this - the Sky now have a full roster and the 2 new players' contracts combined are not that much more than Mabrey's (about 235k combined to around 210k for Marina). If they had kept Maybrey they still would have 1 roster spot to fill and that would have been much more costly. (Not sure if I explained that well 😅).
It helps their future because they now have 3 vets, 2 active, to help influence the young players. And 2 first round picks are still first round picks. There's not that many teams or rounds so there will be options, Kate Martin being a current example. Plus, they'll likely let Dana's contract run out since it's her last year. So that's another spot to bring in a hungry dawg.
They are realizing Reese and Carter are pieces only. Time to get Paige or someone to lead them to the next level. Mabrey is my 2nd favorite player in the league behind Clark so I'm very happy she gets to play with professionals rather than wannabe influencers.
@@bradenhazle4378 yeah, I generally agree. A lot of the value of this trade will come from whoever those 2025 and 2026 picks turn out to be. It’s just such a crapshoot with the WNBA draft. There have been so many lottery picks who get waived or bounce around from team to team. While that 2025 Sun pick will be a late first rounder, that 2026 pick could be decent especially if the Sun and Mercury fail to win championships in the next year and decide to break up their team and rebuild.
@@Theamericanglassguy This line of thinking doesn’t really make sense because if anything, it’s the opposite and they’re giving more of a green light on Carter-Reese-Cardoso to take over the team by moving off of an expensive contract player who was being paid All-WNBA type money for not even All-Star level production. If you’re paying someone max level money, you expect them to give you at least All-Star level production, which wasn’t happening. But yes, they’ll need more pieces to build that championship level team, which they hope to do through the draft.
I think that the just because these ladies are bench players, they could eventually become starters in line with Chennedy! I’m hoping these new additions will make a huge impact. We are missing a good 3 pt shooter so once 2025 comes around Chicago will be complete and a force!

IMO, Mabrey would be great coming off the bench. She has to shoot a lot, which takes the ball out of CC's hand. Mabrey is definitely a liability on defense. She runs around and chases, but she can't contain a lightening bug.

Even in the last few games where Mabry fans are claiming how well she performed, well it was more of her starting Fast and FADING even faster. This was the BEST move for best parties. I don't think she would have EVER fit well with the Sky.
The Sky are better than me; when I first heard of this trade, I was bummed by the return, especially since the Sun pick is projected 11th rn? which is basically just a second round pick. but i figured they were doing right by Mabrey, sending her to a contender… but bruh, she REQUESTED a trade??? They should’ve packaged her with the 2025 second along with the 26th first to get one of the mystics top 4 picks. Garbage trade for the sky, especially considering what they gave up to get Mabrey. Excellent trade by the Sun, they fleeced us.
Marina's never really been on a championship contending team in the W, so I imagine she finally decided she didn't want to be on another rebuilding team and requested the trade. Also, when Wade screwed with all the draft prospects in order to acquire her and then hopped ship midseason for the MNBA, I have a feeling she realized there was no intention of her being a focal building block. Then T-Spoon decides her move this season is to build from scratch, but Marina wanted to win right now. So, even though I'm sad Marina is gone, I think the trade makes sense for both teams in terms of intentions and motivation.

The low picks they get will barely see the court for 1-2 years and won't avg over 5 ppg. You don't trade for picks to a winning team like the Sun! Paige is going to expansion Toronto I will watch her games almost as much as I've seen Clarks (all of them).

I think the sky have been having trouble finding good offensive outside of the paint, so adding a TRUE point guard and a really good outside shooter will help Chicago tremendously with their offense. Also now the Michaela is off the bench and getting minutes I still think the Sky are in playoff talks. Yes we are not winning the title this year but I wouldn’t count us out just yet, I think this team can go far
Banham has never averaged more than 7 points a season. She had one good game recently but normally doesn't give you much offensively

@@Lilquan2004 it’s somewhat different. Chennedy has been bounced from two W teams already because of her volatility. Think of that-- a player of her ability told to get lost by two teams. She must have been, at least then, a corrosive force on her teams. Cardoso will be fine if the Sky develop her, let her play more. Angel is, of course, very talented and will hopefully rein in her ego and drama queen tendencies as time goes on.

To me this trade is about Chennedy Carter and the future her elevation to a starter and her style of play took the ball away from Mabrey who was leading the team early in the season. So right now you have a fairly young core of Reese, Carter, Cardso . Banham makes sense her overall skill set while a notch lower and less consistent is similar to Mabrey so if Mabrey was to become a third option then is she over paid for that role and too much of an asset for that role. Also Deshields is starting to look healthier so I think that played a roll too. Will they be much worse without Mabrey ..they will not be "as good" but they might still be strong enough to hold #8..Then there is the issue of the Wings ..if Dallas gets healthy over the next month they could easily make a run to #8 or #7 they have the talent if healthy- And I don't think Mabrey would be enough to stave that off so picking up some capital for Mabrey is sensible. If Chicago was a contender it might have been different but they are not this year.

There were times when she was trying to say something to them, Carter and Reese, and they were acting like they were ignoring her. Probably got tired of it.
Marina she plays defense in the 1st quarter after that she just seems not interested. And on her shooting, in regular games she's decent, but tough games she will be the reason 6 or 7 possession you will go down by 5 because if she misses a three she will continue to shoot even though she's off..
This trade makes the Sun Mabrey's 4th team in 5yrs.

Honestly I am NOT convinced on MABRY'S value she played inconsistently & did not add much to the sky. Hopefully she's more consistent with the suns.
Another factor is the SKy could end up in the lottery, the lottery is decided based on a 2 year record. Last year the Sky were the 5th worst team. But two of the teams are doing much better than last year and likely will not be in the lottery (Storm and Mercury). Right now the most likely teams in lottery for top 3 lottery odds are Mystics(they also have the Dream's Pick), Sparks, then the next group in contention for the 4th lottery pick would be between Fever, Sky, and maybe Mercury if their injuries do not clear up over break (they had by far worst record last year so they don't need to be in the bottom 4 this year to make lottery.) Right now by trading away Mabrey i am not saying it is tanking but it does make it look like the SKY could be that 4th team. Now if they got a miracle they would take Paige ..But if we are realistic and say they end up at #4 or #5 ..Its probably a Notre Dame player (Miles or Citron) or Fudd if her knees are fully recovered and she can g the entire season with no issues. Depending on who uses medical redshirts that draft could be loaded with good PGs (Miles, Bueckers, Harmon, PaoPao, Amore) Paige is the jewel of the class but I think Miles has great vision and size, Amore is quick, Pao Pao can shoot, and Harmon is gritty and can break down a defense.

Yes she did want to leave. I would watch Mabrey deliberately make turnovers, deliberately make bad passes, and dilberately miss shots early in the season. I would say when I watched her early on i would say is she trying to lose on purpose. It was clear she did not care to be on the team. But right before her trade all of a sudden she starts to show up. When she finally got word she was going to be traded she started playing like Mabrey, to make herself look good to be wanted by another team. I feel Mabrey early on was why the reason sky lost games they should have won. She purposely was not trying to score. When you watched a player for a while you understand how they play, even to the nature of their shooting mechanics. Mabrey early on was nonchalant shooting the ball as if she didn't care. And many of those games if she scored like she usually had been would have resulted in victories. I do understand why she wanted to leave. Do you noticed that the guards are very selfish, Reese, Mabrey and others wide open and the guards will look at them and will not pass them the ball. There is a lot about meism on the team and Mabrey does not want to be part of it. Reese, the woman with the brace (i can't remember her name) and Mabrey in that win over the Aces were open all night. They would post up no pass. Mabrey was shooting lights out what happened later well your open Mabrey and yes you're own tonight but we're not passing although you're over there wide open. To many selfish players, mostly guards who main job is to find the open players.

Magically, the rebound appears. The Sky is losing by 13 with 15 seconds left and Carter is dribbling out the game and Reese is posting up. Another player passes her the ball and the defender fouls her for no reason.There was another defender right there. Reese shoots 40% and was not scoring over them. The Liberty wasn't going along w\ the fraud. And it's not just one.
I don’t think the Sky try to win every game. They bench players at weird times. And they focus on propping up one players stats… while good for that players. Everyone on the team isn’t good with playing that way.
Michaela has been playing great, and she needed more minutes. She will be a better fit at the Wing anyway. After this trade we have no more open roster spots.

Good thing for SKY ... Mabrey is a stop for the evolution of many new players in SKY Team ... With her gone, SKY can now develop a real game involving the true futur assets (A.GREESE, CHEN.CARTER, CAM.KARDOSO ... MITHCEL and Others). It's time to develop another game style and not heavily rely on less efficient 3-pt shooting. By the way, well mastered points in pain is the basis construct and 3-pt shooting must be there as complement. Period.

The Sky traded her because she doesn't fit their time line, Chicago is more than likely hoping to miss the playoffs so that they can have a too 5 pick because they have a pick swap that is top 5 protected and they would like to keep it, Mabrey is currently having a down year and it's one of the higher paid players in the W... Which for a young team that is rebuilding for future success and isn't going to win anything right now it doesn't make sense to pay that when you can "tank" , get and keep a top 5 draft pick that'll be more beneficial moving forward, than, Mabrey can be right now

Quita, you hit the nail on the head. This is a WIN NOW season. Especially when you see that AT, DeWanna, Tiffany Mitchell, and Brionna Jones are ALL Unrestricted Free Agents after this season. DiJonai is a restricted free agent as well. Mabrey still has a year left on her current deal that balloons to $210K next season.

addition by subtraction. mabry was a liability. her cardio was bad. her strength was bad (players would bully her and steal the ball from her). she was a 4th quarter/ clutch time choke. in press conferences, she never took accountability for her bad play and blamed teammates. overall i love the trade and hope they can get flaujae and/or pao pao. another thing, we need to find Jasmine Carson! she would be perfect for this team. she can shoot lights out and is not afraid of the clutch moments. also, i believe mabry and them other two peanut headed PGs were/are jealous saboteurs who hated all the attention angel and cardoso are getting. (hatingazz dana evans and lindsey allen).
