People like Lil Pump just wanted to get rich, they’ve achieved that. But when it comes to music, he probably could care less unless he makes some big money from it
You bring up a really good point about some of these other rappers blowing up from some of the very first songs they ever released. With artists of the past, because they had that period of time where they honed in their sound through trial & error, not only were artists of the past able to have an easier time maintaining a position within the mainstream spotlight, but some of them had enough experience to keep an ear to the ground, look for new & upcoming artists to prospect, and elevate their own careers by jumpstarting the careers of upcoming talented artists who are more in touch with what’s trending within music. You don’t really get that with a lot of the Soundcloud rappers that were popping off around the late 2010’s/early 2020’s because of how young they were when their careers popped off, as well as how as you said, a lot of these artists popped off from some of their earliest material, so they didn’t really have a lot of time to listen in and see what worked and didn’t work. A phenomenon like this almost makes me wonder if the industry is purposefully set up like this to keep mainstream artists from being able to maintain a position in the spotlight so that said artists don’t wind up gaining influence within the industry, allowing this cycle to continue or even evolve into a business that’s even more ruthless than what we’re seeing now.
This goes to show why you should never compare yourself I don't know how many up-and-coming artists or whatever are going to read this but age is really not a factor to compare yourself to someone just because they got to deal at 17 and when Platinum at 18 doesn't mean that you should give up because you're in your late 20s or early 20s these guys all end up falling off because they don't know how to handle that Fame and Fortune

It’s quite simply being handed success People who hustle for years and work for it know how to maintain it bc they continue to put the work in When you go viral and are handed it you don’t put that work in and don’t appreciate it as much
What sad is, some of them leave with nothing, no money. And have to go back to where they started. Even sadder, still faking it, like they are are still hot.
11:58 Listen to these 30 seconds thats literally what i noticed oeople fish for certain types of instruments, bass, synth, effects and all that they want other instruments from other popular songs to be used to then boost new songs. Be your mf self!
It's mainly the difference between virality & trend hopping vs building a genuine fan base, which typically requires a lot more time, effort, and originality.
The movement to more hype music, The shorter the attention spans , the shorter the songs, the fast changing music landscape and labels prioritizing a viral hit over a solid body of work / artist did this. And is the reason were stuck in this predicament
I'm proud of Yachty and 21. They might not be riding crazy waves and the music ain't trending all crazy, but they grew musicly, got better at the craft, studied, and did their homework. Now, they're pretty well respected in the industry and by their peers, too. Music sounds better than it ever did, and I feel like they could just keep going up from here.
Young man, they’re grifters. They are not real rappers or artists, they are business men, and very bad ones in fact. These aren’t talented men, they are good marketers.
surprised lil yachty never fell victim to this. no hate to him as a person but honestly his old music is worse than lil pump was. i can still enjoy d rose. i cant even stand anything lil boat made before 2020
I doubt that a lot of them have money to fall back on. Moat up and coming artists owe a lot to the recording company and a lot of these soundcloud rappers spent and flexed money like it was generational. Theyre nobody who used to be somebody except the added shame. Idk man id rather have always been a nobody than to be a clown that everyone recognizes.
🔴FUN FACT : I'm from Slovakia 🇸🇰, 6ix9ine blew up first here, overseas in 2014-2017. When Tekashi was still unknown, the Slovak record label F*ck Them started working with him. He also had shows here several times. The founder of F*ck Them named YakSha said that when Tekashi flew to Slovakia for the show, he came in only one outfit, he had to give him his clothes and underwear as well. He has one song featuring slovak rappers Dalyb and Zayo called "Jaguare". Not long after that, GUMMO was recorded, which released F*ck Them, and that's when 6ix9ine expanded in the US.
I feel like the entire basketball story you described was a guy that went to high school with me except he also played for the team USA Olympic team, but I’m not really sure what happened after his couple of years into the league because he just got quiet but I also don’t follow so anyways great analysis.❤
A majority of this has to do with how fast the internet processes up and coming artists. It’s much quicker for new artists/music to feel old since everything is so overexposed now. Also a lot of these artists weren’t very good to begin with 😭
Let's be honest, this was mostly a genre that was reliant upon producers. The rappers themselves mostly just represented an image. Their bars were way below average.
We unfortunately cannot put Tekashit the Rat in this group. He actually made more of a career than expected. B4 he snitched, all his songs were "ALWAYZ" in the Top 5. After he snitched, he had yet anothr 2 Top 5 singles then switched to Latin Music and has been thriving in that space since. Love him or hate him, he actually figured out a way of not falling off.
Hey bro just a suggestion add you a little bit of sound effects and background music, it'll really sell your content! That's my only suggestion to make your content better, keep it up!
i remember yung bans mostly fell off cuz he had to deal w felony charges and i dont think he ever had the chance/resources to get back up. his sht was fire tho🙏
They're blowing up before they can even get organic fans because it's not organic. Their initial comeup is real but then they'll cut off all momentum. It's working just how it's supposed to be so the money stays in the industry. Fame is finite
Honestly, I blame the fans, and this throw away, disposable culture we live in. Fans aren't taking the time to help these artists longterm build a career and grow and develop. Its just cheap and fast, 'gimme something I can do a tick tock dance to and I'm out' so these rappers give the fans what they want and its 1 hit wonders all around. Sad.
In the case of these particular ppl, it all comes down to them not really caring about their craft and just riding the wave of whatever hype they have until they couldn’t anymore, I don’t think most of these ppl had a particular passion or interest in music anyway, it was just used as a vehicle to pivot into something else, they care more about fame than creating art, hence why they have to do stunts to maintain relevancy for a quick paycheck, also alot of music from this era wasn’t good, so it wasn’t going to maintain longevity regardless
ugly god never fell off he stopped releasing because of his family and quit all that meme rap shi listen to trickin and lovin he actually spit real bars and his flow was amazing
As much as we say they fell off… Lil Pump got out of a label deal and he went home w millions through some loophole, then signed again for more millions… I’m sure he’s set for life. As for the rest of these guys, they’ll probably be working 9-5s or doing some type of scam shit or onlyfans full time in a few years.
Its because their come up was artificial and created by the record labels outside of their first success that put them on the map. To the label not to you. And once they realise it's a bad investment the fall off is natural because there was never anything there to begin with
Not ganna watch the vid, just wanna say....... We can say what we want about the guys on the thumbnail but some of us will never even get a glimpse of what they had and achieved. Young people not knowing what they wanna become is killing themz literally. Ended it all due to the expectations of the family. These guys came up with there own plan and didn't care about others. Can we just appreciate the era of that time instead of judging. Now days every UA-camr makes vidz about the "downfall", "fell off" etc of people they don't even know as if we (everyone) have never hit rock bottom or had a setback. LOOOOOK it's everywhere. It's crazy because if everyone was doing good and not making mistakes then these UA-camrs wouldn't exist. Let that sink in. Some channels whole thing is about people falling and falling. Its crazy!!!!
you're speaking facts bro. Everybody wants to clown on people's fall off like these guys, but these guys made it far & especially at such a young age. Most of us, if we do make it, aren't going to make until we're middle aged. It's sickening seeing channels centered on people's fall offs, it's like it makes them happy to see someone fall off especially if it's someone who achieved more than them. What's more sickening is some of these channels will say 'they deserved it' even if the person did nothing wrong to anyone( wasn't a pedo, r@pist etc etc) I remember there was this one petty youtuber who made videos rooting for the fall off of some rapper & it ended up happening(the youtuber was involved in ruining his career). Later the youtuber came out saying that they had been facing mental issues.. ngl I never felt bad for that youtuber AT ALL. Showing love is as easy as spreading hate, it's a shame most people choose the last option.
@swaefr Jemari was a guy I used to watch but I stopped watching him, literally go look at his channel and all you see is "(this person) is struggling" or this person blah blah blah. I haven't watched a UA-cam video like that in forever. I only watch nightride and skate videos

Great video! Earned my sub
So true, so wise
Right, dudes mad he’s a incell In his basement making these videos , he’s mad every at rapper he talked about, mad they actually have females suck there balls and he don’t, lghdtv incell never experienced it.
Banger of a video, god bless❤️💪
It’s quite simply being handed success
People who hustle for years and work for it know how to maintain it bc they continue to put the work in
When you go viral and are handed it you don’t put that work in and don’t appreciate it as much
Single-run wonder.... Maybe. Could be the new term....? Cause most seasoned, established rappers usually have multiple runs
true. chief keef been through several, id say carti’s still on his second, and someone like yeats still in his first one
one phase wonder
I think the lockdowns and artist not being able to build that buzz directly at shows really did a number on people careers both in and out of music
What sad is, some of them leave with nothing, no money. And have to go back to where they started. Even sadder, still faking it, like they are are still hot.
Good vid, thank you!
Great vid. If they never had to grind and all your fans are drawn to your music for superficial reasons you ain't gunna last
Lil Pump is the Ben Simmons of hip hop
11:58
Listen to these 30 seconds thats literally what i noticed oeople fish for certain types of instruments, bass, synth, effects and all that they want other instruments from other popular songs to be used to then boost new songs.
Be your mf self!
It's mainly the difference between virality & trend hopping vs building a genuine fan base, which typically requires a lot more time, effort, and originality.
I'd probably say 6ix9ine still has pull in the Spanish market. He can still pull engagement on socials. Can't say the same for the others.
The movement to more hype music, The shorter the attention spans , the shorter the songs, the fast changing music landscape and labels prioritizing a viral hit over a solid body of work / artist did this. And is the reason were stuck in this predicament
This video is straight fax📠👌💐
I'm proud of Yachty and 21. They might not be riding crazy waves and the music ain't trending all crazy, but they grew musicly, got better at the craft, studied, and did their homework. Now, they're pretty well respected in the industry and by their peers, too. Music sounds better than it ever did, and I feel like they could just keep going up from here.
I need all my artists to hear 9:08
Good perspective dawg i need to make a new EP
Current day rappers will be washed even sooner😂 and fresh and fit applies to celena Powell precisely
Having 6ix9ine in the thumbnail is actually incorrect, he’s doing Latin Rap and his numbers are still huge. Lil Pump definitely fell off though
Benjamin franklin once wrote that men die at 25 but aren't buried until they're 75
I'm 19 and that scares me so bad
Damn, males and their perpetually victimhood mindset goes way back hum
Just gotta prepare yourself and don't do stupid shit
It's sad to see because half of these rappers had mad potential, but they got carried away with the lifestyle and ruined their careers.
W pfp
Ybn Nahmir is at a level of washed where he had to perform at a beta frat party at u Miami
Dude is struggling
9:15 they've never put in the work before... you already have the answer's. But still asking the questions. 😮
A true Wiseman....or detective 😂❤
So many words to say absolutely nothing. Peace. This video washed.
You big mad 🤣
Young man, they’re grifters. They are not real rappers or artists, they are business men, and very bad ones in fact.
These aren’t talented men, they are good marketers.
surprised lil yachty never fell victim to this. no hate to him as a person but honestly his old music is worse than lil pump was. i can still enjoy d rose. i cant even stand anything lil boat made before 2020
Prolly cuz Yachty evolved as an artist and made smart business moves
the difference between Yachty and the other rappers is that he is versatile
@ true
Think it’s the void left by Mac, XXX, pop smoke, juice and the rest of upcoming greats that died
I saved up $30,000 before I was 18
doing what?
😭😭😭😭😭😭
When did you start working? Never mind just watched the video
Bro wants a medal
ok? do u want me to get on my knees or some tf
a lot of these rappers blew up bc they weren’t that good. gucci gang was clowned so hard and is why it was so big
Well yall list is better than our list. We had the forever 27 list. Better to fall off than to meet your maker
Hip hop’s burnt
No it isn't 😂
25? I peaked in the third grade, and it's been all downhill from there.
People stopped listening in rap in general too especially the SoundCloud type rap genre.
Oh well life goes on it’s better of loved and lost than never loved at all
It’s wild that J cole tried warning them and they just clowned him
more like before they were 20 honestly 💔
The nba analogy at 9:42 is Ben Simmons his fall of was insane
I was thinking this lowkey but I didn’t wanna violate him like that😭
A majority of this has to do with how fast the internet processes up and coming artists.
These artist came before the Artist-Influencer combo. They had to endure the transition while being in deals and being relatively young.
I wonder if x was still alive would he fall off like the rest of there's guy since x was the most successful SoundCloud rapper
I actually want ugly god to return tho
Bro probably working at Walmart now
J Cole wasn't lying on 1985 their fans outgrew their music because they are no longer teenagers anymore. Their prime was in that 2016-2018 era.
Hey bro just a suggestion add you a little bit of sound effects and background music, it'll really sell your content! That's my only suggestion to make your content better, keep it up!
i asked young purp to sing the ABC's and the dudes eyes rolled back in his head and started speaking latin.
i remember yung bans mostly fell off cuz he had to deal w felony charges and i dont think he ever had the chance/resources to get back up. his sht was fire tho🙏
"Back in my day..."
,______, 23 years old.
Bro got that Luigi mustache.
14:25 ice spice had Industry backing
Don’t know how this will all pan out whenever Nahmir needs another interview considering Adam 16 already had his turn with Celina as well..💀
I wouldn’t even wish that for my worst enemy to go inside of Celina Powell raw
They're blowing up before they can even get organic fans because it's not organic. Their initial comeup is real but then they'll cut off all momentum. It's working just how it's supposed to be so the money stays in the industry. Fame is finite
Using chief Keef as an example almost made me turn of the video
End of sound cloud era
Honestly, I blame the fans, and this throw away, disposable culture we live in. Fans aren't taking the time to help these artists longterm build a career and grow and develop. Its just cheap and fast, 'gimme something I can do a tick tock dance to and I'm out' so these rappers give the fans what they want and its 1 hit wonders all around.
Sad.
In the case of these particular ppl, it all comes down to them not really caring about their craft and just riding the wave of whatever hype they have until they couldn’t anymore, I don’t think most of these ppl had a particular passion or interest in music anyway, it was just used as a vehicle to pivot into something else, they care more about fame than creating art, hence why they have to do stunts to maintain relevancy for a quick paycheck, also alot of music from this era wasn’t good, so it wasn’t going to maintain longevity regardless
ugly god never fell off he stopped releasing because of his family and quit all that meme rap shi listen to trickin and lovin he actually spit real bars and his flow was amazing
soundcloud underground bouta have a comeback like donald trump
your new tape is 🔥🔥👌🏽
Hell yeah
@@VyillMusic Hell yeah🔌🔌 which song go hardest
These lames couldnt find a G-Spot if they tried for dear life!!!😂😂😅😅
This guy really used bronny’s life as an analogy 😂
As much as we say they fell off… Lil Pump got out of a label deal and he went home w millions through some loophole, then signed again for more millions… I’m sure he’s set for life. As for the rest of these guys, they’ll probably be working 9-5s or doing some type of scam shit or onlyfans full time in a few years.
22,843 records with the first week sales of Almighty So 2. but he fell off in popularity fasho. landed above future and metros new shitt to at 28
Its because their come up was artificial and created by the record labels outside of their first success that put them on the map.
What's more sickening is some of these channels will say 'they deserved it' even if the person did nothing wrong to anyone( wasn't a pedo, r@pist etc etc)
I remember there was this one petty youtuber who made videos rooting for the fall off of some rapper & it ended up happening(the youtuber was involved in ruining his career).
@swaefr celebrity: makes a small mistake
UA-cam commatary channels: "rights that down"
@swaefr difference between us and these celebs and musicians is that when they make a minor mistake the whole world sees it lol.
