Its the brushes, knowing what to use for certain strokes and lines and the best ones.
This is so helpful. I was actually hesitating on buying expensive brushes because I feel like my skill level does not deserve expensive brushes yet. So happy that I'm on the right track. Thanks for this 😍☺
Glad it was helpful! :o)
Great video, Syndia. Actually, I decided to stick to oil pastels after trying to learn watercolour with cheapo brushes and supplies. Oil pastels require minimum investment. Happy to see more videos from you!
I've got many ideas but I'm scar that I will waste my paints
Love from india
Yay! She posted!
This makes me happy :o) Have a great weekend!
I guess when you're not brand new to brush buying and you can see them in person in the store, you can tell if a brush will serve its purpose for you or if it's too low in quality. 😊 With acrylics/oil you can get away with cheaper brushes. With watercolor it's a bit different I think.
So true!
I was picking them off like a dog shedding
Great tips. I had the shedding problem too... but luckily I was using an ink wash at the time and could just let it dry and then brush it away. (picking them off before dry left fingerprints) So if you try your brushes out with watercolor or ink wash, you'll see if they shed or not and can wash them out and use them with other stuff.
Great tip!
Can u share ur brushes set or brand names it would help.. am a beginner... From india...
Waiting for a video for comparison between cheap vs expensive canvas sheet 🙏

I don't have money to buy expensive brushes
The cheap ones do the exact same job. I still use cheap brushes and I'm a professional artist and sold more than 60 paintings .
Good, comon-sense advice. Having expensive paintbrushes might seem a good idea for a beginner, but in the end, I believe that a master artist can achieve better results with cheap brushes, than a beginner with expensive ones. As you said, it's what you do with the brushes, how you use them (and clean & store them of course)
I think good quality paper is more important than high end brushes :o) Have a great weekend
I started with very less supplies and learnt soo much☺️☺️
I fully agree :o)
Thanks for the advice ❤️
It's an interesting video but what is the main difference between Acrylic paintbrushes and brushes for watercolour and oil paints are the brushes all the same for each type of medium
Liked both paintings, totally agree about paper and paint. 😀
Thank you! Have a great weekend :o)
Hehehe I know this wasn't for me, but it was nice to see you posted this on my birthday.
Really helpful as usual :D
@@LulArt thank you so much!!!!!
Happy birthday! Sending you all the best thoughts :o)
@@SyndiaArt thank you so much, Syndia! This really means so much to me! 🍁🖤
I kind of curious whether the price increase is worth it for cheap brushes bought online. They cost about $5 for 6pc many different type of brush.

Glad it was helpful! have a great week
What brand are expensive brushes
various brands available in my local art supply shop. nothing specific.
What paint brush did you use for the expensive side of the video
I didn't use a specific brand, just a selection of different artist quality brushes from my local art store.
Good for those who are under budget 👍🏻👍🏻
It's always great to have affordable options :o)
