Today I show you the forgotten legacy of Mr. Armando and his relatives. Once a booming family business in antique cars and agricultural vehicles between the sixties and nineties, has now fallen between the cracks. In this adventure, I will roam around a true time-capsule of the past and show you the family relics and rusty oldtimer wrecks that are still left behind throughout their erstwhile home, that they departed 20 years ago.

I am of Italian heritage and always wanted to explore Sicily. Alas I'm older now and probably won't ever be able to go. So I watch videos of places abandoned and being explored. It makes me think of how my grandparents once lived before immigrating. Now I can see how the possibly lived. Thank you!

One large bedroom for the woman of the house, fancy vanity and the gentleman bedroom quite large as well. Why would two married people have separate bedrooms? Unless each had their own health problems, and the separation was needed. My condolences to the family. Sorry for your lost, including your home.
OMGOSH! Look at the Fiats! These are collectibles, they are gorgeous!
I just want to sit in one, and for 5 minutes pretend to be driving.🚘
This home was probably in the family around late 1700's, the carriage needs to be saved.Could be for the servants quarters and groundskeepers.
    YES I AM AMAZED.💕
    Thank you Maureno.

The brown clock on the wall in the storage room looks like a time clock from around the 50s/60s for an employee to clock in and out of for their shift. An employee would insert a card into the machine towards the bottom and it would stamp the day and the time in and out.

    • @brunogiordan1662
      @brunogiordan1662 3 роки тому +4

Yes. It's a timbratore, it works as you said. Cards were to be marked with the time stamp from the clock, than signed by the worker to certify time of entrance and exit.

it is called a bundy clock and you are right it is used to clock in and out every time an employee goes in and out of work.

The saddest thing about such beautiful homes is the hard work and sacrifices someone has done and gone through for it all to be left to deteriorate and eventually crumble to dust. Although we don’t know the story of how this home became to be abandoned, it’s upsetting that if any children were left behind or extended family have not been able or perhaps willing to take over the care of it. In saying that, many couples in Italy are making decisions to have one child or no children. Many years ago, couples would have many children that would take over these types of properties. Now they are no longer wanted as the maintenance and size is too much. I say this as someone with Italian heritage. My grandparents, although poor, had 13 children, two dying in infancy. Now there are only two left who are in their late 80s. ☹️

Sometimes the children give up to the inheritance due to the enormous debts of their parents!

    • @Whoever68
      @Whoever68 Рік тому

@@antonella923 with the age of this home, I doubt the owners had much, if any, debt. It’s likely the owners were too old or sick to continue to look after and maintain this home and went into a nursing home. If there were children, it’s possible they moved to another country or town like my parents did. Inheritance laws are different in Italy than in Australia.

I truly do not get why anyone in their right mind would give you guys a thumbs down? On your explorers you do everything right. You think about your health by wearing not only a mask, but gloves and a cap for obvious reasons. You have the utmost respect for all the properties you explorer and also respect your viewers who enjoy watching your videos.
I have to give it to you, you seem like a really good catch. If someone hasn't caught you, yet? Not many thoughtful, caring, charming, empathetic young men today.
What a well built mansion. Abandoned since 2000 and no roof leaks or water damage. Or damage done by derelicts. I am so happy you closed that window to slow the decay progress somewhat. I wish all explorers would think to do the same thing. But, then what other explorers take the time to restore abandoned properties disheveled by damaged untrained delinquents? This mansion is yet again proof what we already know "we can't take it with us". All the things most spend their entire lives working for. This is another perfect example why we don't gather treasures on earth to gather up dirt and rust. I learned to roller skate in 1963 with the same type of roller skates. They had a key to tighten them once your shoes was fit properly within the skate. How groovy seeing those skates!!
Love ❤ love ❤ love ❤ your videos. Thank you for sharing.

Hi dear Maureno, I have just started watching your latest video. - It's nearly incredible to see, what a legit time capsule you found here.
I already loved the start of the video, where you came into the room with a beautiful chandelier. - Just amazing! - Your respect is always
overwhelming! - Wonderfully furnished rooms and breathtaking chandeliers, - everything so very antique, literally frozen in time. - Of course
I loved the living room with the very nice upright piano and the magnificient chandelier on the ceiling. - We also have such a black typewriter from
Olivetti. My mother used to write a lot with this massive machine. - And - I could hardly believe my eyes, when you showed the collection of really
vintage cars. - An absolutely wonderful Urbex video, which I very much enjoyed watching! - Let's just intensively hope, that no people with
wrong and criminal intentions are finding this amazing location. - Wishing you all the best, peace and much love from now quite
sunny Switzerland. - Stay safe, lots of blessings, dear bro, and kindest regards.

The dining rooms always seem to have such exquisite furniture left behind.
There is such a huge difference in the explores abroad and the explores in the US. It seems that there is no respect for abandoned places here in the US. I see so much vandalism and defacement at the properties here. So many places there are still in pristine condition... no graffiti, beds still made, furniture untouched with only dust to tell the story of how long the inhabitants have been gone...

That was absolutely fabulous! Those cars alone to a collector would help pay for that reconstruction of that house the first ones were in immaculate condition and the woody was incredible. The last building that you found where is beyond words. It looked almost like it was 19 century at the very least may be older. And extremely ornate. It looked like it had a different purpose than what they used it for originally. It’s too bad that the family doesn’t want to take More responsibility For taking care of those. Once again you outdid yourself. Where was the rest of the clan?

This house is beyond belief. Even if it hasn't been inhabited for awhile it is still beautiful. As if it was meant to stay that way. I love both the Italian and French deco. So whoever did it knew what was good at the time. Mr. Armando's wife knew how to decorate. Thats besides the point. They had the best of everything and its left for the simple reason, that I can imagine. That it was meant to stay for you to show and us to see!!!

  • @WareWolf801

At one point he mentioned "mechanics tools", but those were all home tools for fixing wood, and general repairs.
He looked right past a "Ferrari" collectors book in the utility cabinet with the woodworking tools.
The bedrooms & staircase look VERY VERY staged. I wonder if it was to sell the property, or do tours, or something like that.
From the furniture, and the clothing, I would guess these people were upper-middle class. The bathrooms were rather fancy, and some of the wall storage units were also made from select woods.
One of the tv's had a "vcr" button. Video Cassette Recorders were late 1980's.
My guess is they left "in a hurry" and took only the best of the best of their stuff. Boxes indicate that too, or possibly an attempted clean-up by remaining family after the passing of their relative(s).
Maybe they were hurt in an accident while traveling or something like that.
The makeup tables have NO makeup or anything of the sort, so that indicates a planned exit by the ladies (haha). The shoes on the other hand could counter that point. Women don't usually leave shoes behind.
It's sad that so many windows are open, because weather, wildlife and greenery are entering the building and degrading it.

It's not a stove, it is a safe or vault. The clock you found was a machine used in factories, to stamp the beginning and end time on your personal file. Not stamped? Not paid. The recordplayer in the attic was NOT for small records, but for 78 rpm records, which is clearly shown by the size of the turntable. These records where made of bakelite, one of the earliest artificial polymeres.
