Jaguar XJ40 - Replacing the front wheel bearings

In todays video, we take a look at the Jaguar XJ40 and the process involved with replacing the front wheel bearings.
I have since completed a twenty mile trip with the car, and no ill effects have been observed, no excess play or rumbling is present when checking the wheels, with the front of the car raised.

Using the old race to drive in the new one is a good idea. Rather than using the old bearing to drive it fully home, which as you experienced can damage the new race, cut a slot right through the old race using a grinder/dremmel and you can drive the new race fully home without fear of jamming the old race - you can simply lever it back out.
