Metro looks bit concerned at the end there. "Is my foot gonna be OK?" Kinda like I feel on my way out of the doctor's office. I sure do hope that fixes his problem. He seems like a very nice horse.
Hi Peter. How are you,? Just enjoyed watching another great video. Excellent job as always. I like the way you explain everything in detail while working step by step. Metro is such a sweet and gentle boy. Thank you so much for this great video. Wish you all the best😀
Hello Peter, thank you for another educational video and the information about sugardyne. I had not heard of it and it's abilities before. I use iodine sprayed lightly 2 times a week as a precaution.
Hey Peter does that injury to the hoof hurt until it heals or is it like a cavity that feels okay unless it gets too deep? Also, nice design on your shirt!
I think this horse mainly does work in the arena. This doesn’t wear the shoes down the same as road work. Hopefully now it has been cleared out the hoof will grow down normally 😊
My horse has the same issue…here in the states we have a product called “cleantracs” that is supposed to help clear the infection up, it just takes quite a while….been trimming and soaking for almost a year now
Hi Peter, great job. Can you tell me about the sugar paste and where can I buy it ? Or could I make it? My horse (26) has seedy toe/ hollow hooves real bad, in high rainfall area. I have a good farrier and use copper sulphate soaking and on a multivitamin and minerals and amino diet. I need to know what else can I do.
@art1muz13 In Britain, they would be ancient pony breeds like Highland, Exmoor and Dales. Lots of them get into their thirties, if they avoid issues like laminitis or being overloaded. I guess any well bred pony type would be comparable in longevity. Hardy types with good genetics, bred for soundness, not coat colour or other superficial features. Horses, especially larger or more athletic types, tend to live a bit shorter lives - into their twenties usually.
Horse looks like a sweetheart. Love a well socialised horse with the farrier :)
Lovely horse x standing so patiently xx
Hello Peter. Another great video . Keep crankin them out. Another fine use for duct tape.
Thank you mate. Bit of a long day but we keep going 😊
Thanks Peter. Another great video. Metro looks well chilled out. Hopefully you will have helped sort that hoof out. Love your outdoor office space. 😊

Was it an active infection? It looked dry. Thanks for another brilliant video.

Thank you, Metro and Nate. Couple of questions.; How often will you re-address the toe crack and approximately how long will it take to grow out?
Doesn't look like those shoes have had much wear. Digging out the seedy toe reminds me a bit of the dentist!

There's a good 10years life left in that brush 😃
At a minimum!!
Thank you

Hey Peter, why the bar shoe and not just a regular shoe with side clips? Just curious. Great video!
❤

Not Crazy Frog 😂
So when you burn the shoe on the hoof, if you could describe it, what does that smell like? Looks pretty potent
It smells like burnt hair. Stinky!
Smells like burning hair
Great video ,how do they get seedy toe ❤
you also shod this horse the time before?
What about his hind hooves?
Sugar,😵💫
How long does a good horse live, avg?
My coworker has an American saddlebred that is going to be turning 25 in a few weeks
Barring accident or injury, a horse should make it well into the twenties. Some native breeds live longer than that.
@dshe8637 When you say native, which are they in U.S.?
