My Railroad Crossing Bell Collection

Here is all nine of my railroad crossing bells I have collected in the past year and a half. Three electronic and 6 mechanical. 8 American, 1 Australian. Enjoy!
0:00 Safetran mechanical bell.
2:02 WRRS mechanical bell (doesn't work).
4:30 US&S 3rd gen teardrop bell (doesn't work).
7:45 WCH type-2 electronic bell.
10:39 WCH type-4 electronic bell.
11:46 WCH 2nd gen mechanical bell.
14:07 GE "SmartBell" electronic bell.
16:38 Westinghouse hybrid bell.
19:04 RACO (Railroad Accessories Co.) mechanical bell.

When I have a severely rusted bell, I get them sandblasted and repainted. On the bell I fully restored, the pitch did slightly change, but the sound was richer.

to be E-bells or speaker bells are a bit weird to me, I just find mechanical ones to be cooler, as they make a unique sound compared to the E-bells / speaker bells

Very nice collection my dude!! Have you been able to get the wing nut off the teardrop bell yet? I've restored two of them before and I know my way around working on these kind of bells. Yes wd-40 or PB Blaster would work but here's a tip, tight the wing nut to close the door, take a wire brush to clean the threads, lubricate the threads, and see if it unscrews easier. If not, try heating up the wing nut with a torch if you have one. I be happy to help you out with any other problems if you need any additional advice or help.

Another way to get railroad crossing bells are giving permission when someone are replacing railroad crossing bells at a railroad crossing!
