When you tighten the chuck on the drill , turn 1 click backwards!!! yes for real , it locks the bit in place. I learned this as recent as a month ago via youtube...Also seen dissolving fert with warm water overnite before use helps with any clogging issues. I used a paper filter bucket to bucket before sprayer
Also, you should try water soluble humic acid by earthworks. Its 31$ for a 5 lb bag, and makes 4 gallons of concentrate. (You use 1 Oz per 1000 sq ft on your lawn since it is 12% concentrated at their recommended mix) that's MUCH cheaper than pre-made humic acid. (75%!) And it has a higher concentration than most premixed products! Edit: then you can mix some 46-0-0 urea to get this same effect for like 80% cheaper!
I recommend using a blower to push those leaves into the woods. No mulching, no bagging. Also, have a look at a “brewing grain scale” for measuring out buckets full of product (seed, fert, etc). This scale runs about $80 and has enough range/capacity to measure full buckets and comfortably fits the 5 gallon buckets. The lawn is looking good, keep up the good work!
Mr.F, I need some enlightenment. Why are we putting down 44-0-0 in November. Is it because of location or because you have tall Fescue? I've been under the understanding of NPK to be Up/Down/All Around. Yet you're really heavy on the Nitrogen (Up) near the winter season. I'd have thought for root development that you would have gone a little heavy on the "P" or maybe the "K". My curious mind wants to know if I've been doing it wrong all these years. living in Colorado, 80-degree temps would kill me, lol. Thanks for another informative Vid, you always keep me thinking and questioning myself.
Hey William. No you are right, but there is no need to add P to the lawn when you have plenty already available, and in past weeks my P has stayed high. So sure, I could go 26-0-6 or anything if the sort, but I’ve just chose to play with urea this go around. I think if I was expecting a brutal winter (up north peeps), I’d definitely add some K. I’m actually gonna do that soon myself.
Best tip ever is always use a strainer. After buying multiple backpack sprayers I learned the hard way.

Instead of the 5 gal bucket I use a 1 gal pitcher it has a smaller foot print and makes it easier to pour product in the back pack sprayer

Appreciate the tip!
When you tighten your drill, hand tight once you tighten your chuck counter turn to lock the dewalt
The leaves are free valuable bio matter for the lawn I mulch them at the end of the season going into winter
Great video!!
Use those leaves! They make great mulch for your flower pots and garden areas.
Use warm water and it’ll make your life much easier to mix and spray.
But lawn is looking awesome regardless!!
I did!
Last year I tried to turn Andersen's Humic DG into liquid and it did not work despite lots of mixing and sitting. Good vid thanks

Thanks to all for reminding me about PPE. Don't tell anyone I used to be a safety officer!
Lol deal. Oh look! Your badge ranked up again! Nice!
Here is a tip just use hot water the hotter the better and let it sit for 10 minutes it will be dasolved

@@MrFergusonLawn Thanks Mr.F, I keep forgetting you like to experiment. Understand on the "P".
If that’s a foliar app you probably just poc-a-dotted your lawn with all those leaves. 🫣
I get what you're saying, which is why I told people to clear the leaves, but it looks just fine. Just as green as every other section.
