- Wading and crabbing on the beach at low tide was an AMAZING experience! Thanks to Ryan for inviting us out and showing us the ropes. I loved the underwater footage and cool creatures we found! The crab was massive, and it was delicious :)

Lmk if you've done this kind of 🦀🦀🦀🦀 before!
ps. Sorry for the wind noise! :)
Known about this for 60 yrs now.kinda wish you had kept the location a bit more vague as it's getting a lot of pressure as is and numbers are way down in last 15 yrs or so.
Ah, well I want to share the beauty and family fun this offers to others!
Hay, Rosin, how do ya find out when "peak low-tide" is there??
I've always loved walkin' around that area but I've never seen it so low.
Honestly I just meant the time of day when low tide would be lowest haha. But maybe that was a very low tide - I was invited by a buddy and maybe he knew it was a very low tide. There are tide apps that will tell you the time and extent of tides in whatever location you choose :)
Cool vid but crappy music it's tough to listen to what you are saying. Just my two cents.
Probably a fair point! Audio mixing is a skill I'm still working on! :) cheers 🤙
Looks fun. Nice day with good people catching food in the ocean.
Definitely a good time out there :)
Great fun that day and learned a lot. Many thanks to Ryan and the gang! Thanks Rosin! See you soon!
Indeed, it was a blast! See you soon Joe!
Awesome video but you're supposed to measure from the inside of the points(spike), not the outside. Keep up the cool vids brother! 😁🤙🏽
Not in BC, Canada!! We measured correctly for our regulations 🤙 thanks for the kind words!
@@RosinFlyFishing My apologies! I wasn't aware of your location. BC should school Washington on measuring 🤣🤣 I like your measuring rules😅😅 way better
@@bogg54 hahaha true 😎
The way you showed how you measure the crab is incorrect in WA and OR
Oh? What are your regs down there?
This is just minutes away from Washington state , But of course on the Canadian side , they could be trans border Crabs 🤭
I was hoping to see a vat of melted butter at the end, but crab cakes are definitely an A+ choice as well.
That first smaller dish of crab was split between wife and myself and smothered in salted butter. Then crab cakes with half of the leftovers (the big bowl) and still another half in that jar in the freezer. Absolutely ridiculous haul of meat! 🧈🧈🧈🦀🦀🦀
A 50 foot drag net would be AWESOME in this situation...is it legal to use one there?
I can't imagine it is legal here, though I don't know the net rules. Man that would ruin the fun for others though...
What a day!! keep your content up!
Thank you Silas! :)
I love crabbing, but I have never caught them in low tide before. Looked like a blast.
It was a good time !
Some great footage and an awesome day of crabbing, great job out there.
Thanks :)
Dayamn; those crab cakes looked scrumptious.
Boy were they :)
Damnit, suddenly needing crabcakes
Thanks for watching to the end ;)
what a beautiful day too. I love watching the sea grass/weed tips waving near water surface =)
I agree, it is mesmerizing and makes you want to go out again!
@@RosinFlyFishing yup! part of the enjoyment is the environment and surrounding. Great to see you and your friends having a blast !! =D
What time of year was this and hello from port hardy
Hey msg me on Instagram or shoot me an email I'll let you know!
Lots of great finds! They looked delicious too 👍
Oh boy, were they good man. Still have that jar of meat in my freezer. 3 huge crab meals in total!
@@RosinFlyFishing that’s awesome!
I do this in my area also.
It is good fun!
You broke up lovve 😢 🦀🦀
Tragedy!! 💔🏚️🦀🤰🚼🌊
location please
We are from Alberta.
We love to experience that this summer. DM the location please. Thank you
Hey, shoot me an email (check my channel about page) or msg me on Instagram
Great video
I know for a fact you haven't watched the whole thing yet!!! Lol
Location please...
Haha there are a few videos out on this location and it's pretty popular, so I'd just say do some googling :)
There should be a law preventing hatrasing mating crab.
That way casual tourists will leave them be to sustain the fishery.😢
I suspect this harvest opportunity is pretty well balanced. During the night time, as well as high tide, there is opportunity for mating to occur without disruption. The important thing is that the females are all released :)
They find a mate with no problem not a issue at all ❤
Any fish there? Thanks for the share.
Not much no, definitely a crabbing spot with the occasional cool creature as you walk around :)
