If you watch the Champion Hurdle again, notice Constitution Hill's leg speed between the last two hurdles. He really opens up, which suggests to me that he can really quicken at the business end of his races. I cannot see any hurdler matching that turn of foot over two miles.
Marine National ran an almost identical time in the supreme
Marine Nationale was flat to the boards, Constitution Hill was in cruise control.
Marine National is a pig of a horse.

2 facts here from me…
1: Not in any race will State finish infront of Impaire this season. Impaire is miles the better horse.
2: The double green monster will beat Con Hill next March.
Just the one fact for me, you said the same about Vauban and Stateman beating the "yak" Con Hill last year along with about 10 other losing Mullins horses that were "certs". With all of your "knowledge" I would have thought you know the meaning of the word fact by now...

I thought Stateman looks abit more a chaser than a hurdler. What you think on that? He seems to be more of a tank.
@@joemac9249definitely looks a chaser rather than a hurdler and actually seems to jump like a chaser. Constitution Hill is good but I am not sure he is great. As Mick said to Rocky about his title defenses-“😢they were handpicked “ so I feel the same can be said about the rivals of Constitution Hill, decent horses but not greats

@@JackBurton-w7xWhat does Con Hill have to do to make him great in your eyes, win the champion hurdle running backwards? Beating Jonbon by 22 lengths and then winning a champion hurdle barely coming off the bridle strike me as a bit better than good. He can only beat what's in front of him and showed up at all the group 1 hurdles in England so not exactly avoiding anybody. Like Frankel he doesn't need to travel abroad to be a great, the Irish champion would have been another penalty kick for him. He is that good that it's up to the others to try wrestle his title off him in his own backyard and I can't see any current hurdler doing this at the moment.
