even the g14's 60w 3060 has been really good at 1440p, getting nearly the 120fps limit on cold war with dlss ultra settings on most maps other games were constantly around 80-100fps on games like star wars jedi fallen order and forza horizon 4, also heard that one get's better cpu perfomance since it's only working with a 60w gpu vs an 80w
The laptop in the video is a 130w model but this guy is using the wrong profile in armory crate.

This video was well discriptive, I got more out of this video than 10 other videos I watched trying to compare the 3060 version with the 3070 I ended up grabbing the 3060 model as it was the best bang for your buck.
Then you watched the wrong Videos. This guy here don't even set up the right mode for gaming. He is using performance mode and not turbo mode. The gpu is a 130w model. And if you using the wrong mode the gpu only draws 80w. Btw: saw this fail in the first second 🤣

Hey do you recommend this laptop over legion 5 pro (5800h/3060)?
As for apps like blender, unity, photoshop, after effects, etc. Would you recommend this one or the 3070 is worth the extra?
The asus rog zephyrus is the best gaming laptop I've had for the value. By far. I have the G14 1tb, but some of them are on sale by like $600 right now at Best buy
The 14 inch is definitely the best value in the 1tb version, just wish it had a better display
Nice review thanks. I'm trying to work out if worth downgrading from 3070 to reduce thermals and fan noise so if possible in future please focus on difference in power consumption and thermals

@@nunnil1655 I'm extremely impressed so far. Maxed graffics settings at 1440p on apex legends I'm hitting 100 consistently. Highs of 135fps. Excited to try some other titles soon

Hey Sean, just got my Ryzen 7 - 3060 model today, your reviews was one of those which convinced me to take the jump.
But I'm facing really annoying WiFi issues - where I get great speeds while sitting in line of sight of the router, but immediately get dismal speeds as soon as I move to my room ~8 metres away.
Is this due to the Mediatek WiFi card? I've made sure to update all the drivers. Can you suggest any fixes?
(I have a 5Ghz WiFi network @150 Mbps)
Hmm, does switching to 2.4ghz help? It can have better range than 5ghz

To put it into perspective, I get 190 Mbps while in line of sight, and ~15 Mbps when in my room/away from line of sight.
This 15 Mbps drops to 7 when I switch to 2.4 GHz
My older dell with an Intel WiFi 5 card gets 180 Mbps consistently across the house :/

I went for the MSI gp76 3060 variant and boy i have 0 regrets. It stayed way cooler then any ryzen 5800h series cpu laptop!
And i do find fan sound and temps important for my laptop

No HDMI 2.1 is a deal breaker. It’s nice to connect it to LG CX from time to time. It’s a shame that MSI and Asus do not offer it

Which one is better this one or strike 15 with the same specs? The strike 15 has fhd and 144hrt screen but you have more watt in gpu so what is the better the 2k screen with 165hrtz or fhd 144hrtz but with more power close to 3070?
They shouldn’t be too far apart from each other performance-wise. Personally I would get this for the 1440p screen but both are good.
Is it worth paying 700 dollars extra for the 3070 version over the 3060 version. I have the 3060 with 1 TB ssd. Will gaming be alot better or should I just keep this one.
Keep this one it isn’t worth cuz u only get around 20-30fps more in games with 3070

Thanks a lot Sean for doing a review on the RTX 3060 one, I bought one too last week only, G15 GA503QM, but I am facing an issue where I am only getting white backlight on my Keyboard rather than RGB, and when I checked Aura Sync inside the Armory Crate (latest version), it shows no device available for Aura sync lightings, Do you or anyone in here know a Fix to that?
I think in some regions the gray model can have a white-only keyboard option, this is a USA model and I believe all the gray ones here have RGB.

The Indian variant of the rtx 3060 g15 is only white backlit

Hello Sean I have an ASUS Rog Zephyrus G15 G503RM model, and it says it supports 165Hz refresh rate, but for the internal laptop monitor, it only gives me the option to pick 60 Hz, Is the 165Hz only available for gaming?

Ryzen 5900hs or hx even better. Intel runs hotter and is finally catching up to amd in performance. Probably why 14 inch laptop like Razer blade 14 use amd instead.
