i am not keto, but i have so many food sensitivities, so i eat boring things. the same three type of meals over and over. but... i took a break, and ate real bread and pasta. oh my gosh. is there anything better than bread 😄 but it's so sad it makes me sick. but.. i am going through grief - so i am letting myself eat whatever right now. anything goes. at least i don't have psychosis right now. so that's a plus.
If you get a food processor, it's great for mixing the bread dough! You just bung it in & zap it & it forms into a ball! But if you do, remember to add a bit of butter to the mix, otherwise it will stick to everything like glue. Also, they say a plastic processor blade is better for mixing dough than a metal one...

Im writing this and watching your vlog at thte same time, so I havent gotten to the part yet when the bread is done. From all the videos Ive seen people just throw a tea towel over the bowl, no wrap, and thats fine. I like to bake like you , but have never made bread with yeast. But you've given me the inspiraton to do it! Oh Lordy, that was too funny that dang sticky dough! I hate it, you have more patience than I do! It looked so good and the soup. I will try yur recipes if you post them. I love the bread that has the crunchy crust. And I know what you m ean by Keto, and food here is soooo expensive too. Crazy! I have tried all kinds of diets because of being in so much pain with a hiatal hernia and the other stuff. I know the skizophenia is so much worse than what I am going through, but when I was younger I went through some paranoia severe anxiety times and it was very scary. Oh and I love your kitties! oh thank you! 🥹 I love baking and so does my mother so i'm pretty sure I got it from her 💚 I can link you the bread recipe if you want? 😊 the soup is very simple, leak, potatoes, cooked and then mixed with a splash of cream and what ever you want for seasoning, I just used salt and pepper this day! ❤️
Do you make stir-fries at all? They are one of my favourite foods, & so easy to prepare! I make mine in my wok, and usually add a chopped onion & some garlic, some bits of meat, various chopped vegetables, some tomato, & some soy sayce. You can also add noodles, & some Worcester sauce if you like it. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to prepare!

Not sure if you're familiar with a wok, but it's a bowl-shaped frying pan with a handle, so you can easily mix the food around while you're cooking it. You could also use a deep frying pan or saucepan. I've got some frozen haddock which I might try tonight in a stir-fry! If you add a little curry powder or paste, then you have a curry!

@@Kimberly_Viktoria To be honest, it's a long time since I made bread! I've looked back at my bread recipes, and one has butter (25g to 450g flour) & the other doesn't. I'm fairly sure adding butter solved the stickiness problem. It's worth a try, anyway! But I definitely remember the dough mixing in my processor & forming a lovely round ball at the end!
@@Kimberly_Viktoria Oh, it's important, as it's ketosis which tells you you're burning fat instead of sugar! I use them all the time when I'm on the diet. I can get into ketosis within about 2 days of starting... It's worth reading Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution, it's an eye-opener!
@@Kimberly_Viktoria Mind you, you can experiment with different keto modifications to various dishes- for example, I made a cheese sauce based on cream & eggs, rather than flour. I poured it while liquid over my cauliflower, and it thickened while it was baking. Also, I made some meatballs & bound them together with Psyllium husk instead of breadcrumbs... Oh, and BTW, to make Greek-style meatballs, just add a little ground cumin to the mix!
thank you for the tip! sadly I can't stand the psyllium husk taste anymore due to all of the baking I've done with it. I still trying to eat a little more low carb but I'm leaning more to eating a Mediterranean style diet lately. it feels more manageable and less restrictive 😊@@jamespassas9441
@@Kimberly_Viktoria Oh, that's a shame about the Psyllium, as it's such a good source of fibre & it really sorts out your digestion! Also, as you say, it's so good for low carb baking. Another alternative is Chia seeds, which also have loads of fibre & supposedly good baking properties, although I havn't tried them...

No the goal wasn’t really to reach ketosis all of the time, just to lose weight. 😊 so I didn’t monitor it 😊
