It is so incredibly upsetting and infuriating that social supports are so difficult to qualify for and even if you do qualify often don't even come close to meeting our basic needs. I am so sorry you have to go through this and for all the stress you are under! I really hope you are able to continue to do youtube, I will continue to watch and support all your videos
Wow I'm so sorry about your news!! It's not easy to be on SSI sometimes. Now I'm really sad that we may lose you 😭. I have to tell you, one of my favorite memories recently is of sitting outside in nature watching your vlog. For someone who is "unwell" you come across incredibly well! You feel like a real friend. Well, whatever happens you'll get through it. You have to put your survival first. Maybe you could write a blog instead? Best wishes to you Kimberly! 💕 💕
Your videos give me a cosy feel: cat, tea, reading, nice interiors. They do make me think about self-care and simple but enjoyable things. It's always good to hear what you are doing. I hope that your finances work themselves out somehow. I will continue to watch your channel and support you.
Hi Kimberly, its a mess here in the US too. If you make just a bit over you are not eligible for any benefits. Lots of people fall into that hole, including me. I just live on my SS, I used to get SSDI (which is just SS disability income), but now Im older its just SS. But its all the same Im grateful for what I do get, but its so hard to afford groceries or the extra stuff that comes up. I hope you get the news soon, and it will all work out for you! You help so many people on your channel, including myself. You always inspire me. I look forward every week to hear how youre doing and what you're baking or cooking! take care hugs Mary Ann 🤗💚💜💚💚
Hi Mary Ann, so sad to hear that. Thank you, im not giving up UA-cam easily and im scheduled for a phone call with my caseworker today to get some answers. And im also hopefully doing a vlog soon again. Hugs! 💚🥰
I'm sorry to hear you're in this complicated situation. I know what its like to rely on social support financially, and how hard it is to go to work with negative symptoms. I hope everything will turn out ok, we're here for you through it all. There's always a way, even if it sometimes doesnt feel like it. Sending you lots of love 💗
The book The Yellow Wallpaper seems really interesting! I enjoy literature books that talk about contemporary themes like isolation. Edward is so cute 😍 drinking tea is a nice way to relax. Beautiful video 📸
I was really struggling recently and your videos helped me so much. I hope you can keep making your videos. Listening to what books you are reading, hearing about what you are doing is very friendly and calming. Hang in there. If you stay very persistent, I think it will work out.
I wish you good luck at your evaluation and that you can still do you tube or be back very soon.love your vlogs!I'm sorry you have to deal with all those social workers. They are a pain in the neck!Enjoy your celebration with your family.Give Edward an extra cuddle for me!❤
As a matter of fact I helped Jane clean the downstairs. I brought in the air compressor and blew out the heating registers and under the kitchen cabs and put a fan in the door and blew the dust out. We worked together on it for two afternoons and she was all kinds of appreciative because like you, she's low on energy from SZ and rarely cleans and when she does it wipes her out with fatigue. We have a LOT of dust from clay soil that we track in. I think I need to give up on waiting for her to vacuum and simply do it myself. I have enough energy where I don't even feel the work, but for her she's busted flat with exhaustion.
@@Kimberly_Viktoria Yes it's surprisingly profound. I think people just don't understand how hard the fatigue is to deal with. I've had fatigue too from ADHD and depression but it's still nothing like schizophrenia. I get a charge out of you you know. I really think you are something.
I really enjoy your vlogs and absolutely love your book reviews-your deeper analyses would be such a fun addition! I also really relate to your preference for shorter books; they’re such a great way to feel accomplished, especially after a reading slump. I’m so sorry to hear about the struggles you’ve been going through ❤. I hope this question isn’t too personal, but I was wondering-do you think the way society views schizophrenia affects the episodes themselves? I’ve heard that in some cultures, where schizophrenia is seen as a spiritual gift, the episodes are often shorter. In Western cultures, where it’s frequently seen as something abnormal or bad, do you feel this stigma influences the content of the episodes, or does it mostly affect your self-esteem?
Thank you! And to answer your question, I definitely think culture affects the way schizophrenia manifest and what symtoms might look like and how we respond to them. It's a very interesting topic and I have read some articles about how schizophrenia looks different depending on culture. And id say that the stigma can have some affect on how the symtoms show definitely. 💚
I'm stunned that anyone with an illness as serious SA disorder has to worry about holding down a job or having enough to survive on. Stress makes serious mental health conditions worse. It's sounds like a very callous system. Can you find a disability rights advisor or a social worker to help you out? You shouldn't be put under all this strain, lovey....it's just wrong.
❤️ Hoping very hard everything will work out for the best for you! We’ll miss you very much if you’re forced to leave, but whatever happens, I’ll never forget about you and your gentle spirit. ❤️ It’s frustrating that social support often requires a person to live in poverty to qualify. The USA’s system is also very flawed. I have hope for the future, that we will change society to support us all and our unique needs.
That sounds like an interesting book. I lived on försörjningsstöd for a few months before I got sjukersättning and it was not easy, I could barely afford food, but I got some food from my mom and didn't buy anything I absolutely did not need. That was not easy. hopefully someone can help you or you can get food from the church during that time. I hope it will work out for you somehow...
I Norge blir det värre och värre med ekonomisk hjälp för personer med kronisk sjukdom eller funktionsnedsättning. 🥺 Jag har "haft turen" att slippa allt för många problem själv.
Have you read The Woman They Could Not Silence by Kate Moore? It is about a woman whose husband put her in a psychiatric hospital because she wasn’t obeying him. At that time that was a typical situation. Horrible!!! Kate Moore also wrote Radium Girls, which is my favorite book. The girls were young adults who painted the glow in the dark faces of watches and airplane technical tools. The men in the factories were covered, but the women were trained to make the brushes thin with their lips. The paint was radioactive. So the women usually died a painful death. Kate Moore is British, but has done research in the United States. She has held readings at a bookstore in Roseville, Minnesota.
hey i just had a thought.... once i turned 30, they stopped pushing me to see if i could hold a job or education, so they finally let me retire early. "førtids pension" and even as i have that, at ANY point i can decide if i want to try a job, if i really want one. but no one can take my pension away now. since you turn 30 in a few months, could you maybe hold them off till then and try for retirement? once you are retired you get more money, and PEACE from the system. you just have to really hammer down, that you cannot work, and if you have proven that.... idk maybe they will agree that's the path for you. just a suggestion. the no one can tell you what to do anymore. i just want the best for you 💜
I wonder if you can’t show your psychiatrist or mental health team your UA-cam channel? Or show it to this government person? Maybe they see the value in it too for your mental health. And will approve of it and maybe even show it to other patients. I *really* hope you’ll continue the channel ☺️💖
Thank you! They already know about it actually. And sadly the case workers are only following the rules so I dont think I can argue much about it... I will do Everything I can before giving up my channel! 💚🥰
You should promote your Patreon page more. Isn't it a place where you can be supported by your audience? I don't know how it works. Or is that in way of official income applications?
Its sadly in in the way of the official income applications as you suggested, so before I do anything more with that I have to be able to have UA-cam as a part time job before I can expand on it. 🙃
