The hp figure means little when it comes to diesel engines, what matters is the torque of which the smaller T5 has around 70nm less then the John Deere.

same hp is not the same as same engine size/torque. A new holland T6 125 has just 5 hp more then a T5 120, but does have more then 30% more engine size and corresponding possible torque.
