@Simon The 2T22A dude there are still a decent number of original bumblebolts in existence, one of which is tested regularly. And yes, there are a handful of 1952 thunderbolts in existence
Simon The 2T22A Independence, OH has two still in service. Youngstown has one in service, and there’s a few others in other states as well that are still in service.
I am so amazed. You did an excellent and amazing job restoring this siren! She sounds amazing! At one time, Cleveland, Ohio, and the county had 75 of these Thunderbolts installed in 1952. Only two remain active today and were installed in a nearby suburb. They are still working today but the rotators are broken. I was very impressed when I recorded them. They were jailbars just like this one.
Absolutely mind-blowing! I am very proud of you getting this in to your possession and how well you've restored it. I just can't believe how much work y'all did on this old girl.
@@kayak22channel the Chrysler is 6 port iirc and spun at a very high RPM, while the thunderbolt 1000 is 5 port and I think it was set to chopper level 3 so it only spun around 2450 RPM. (They do not sound at all the same!)
Do you like Morgan dollars? I like wheat pennies I got 2 1909 and 1 1909 vdb and etc. But the ones I'm really trying to get are the 1909 s or the 1909 s vdb the 1922d
I wish I knew what happened to the absolute shitload of B series thunderbolt 1000’s that TVA had in my area with some STH-10’s before getting wiped out by 508’s
Legendary recording
I like the duel tone more but this sounds nice!
That old knoxville bolt lives again!
yes, you’d know if you had instagram
Reading has one..

Man you don't know how much I'm interested to finding an active jailbar bumblebolt
That’s awesome! Good work restoring it.
Holy cow! That sounds amazing! I am insanely proud of you for the work you put into this!
Awesome! can I suggest settings for next test? Try Chopper 5 with rotator at 8 rpm.
They had it this set this way because it was originally set at level 2

Amazing!
How'd you get a jailbar bumblebolt 1000
Kyle Whetstone saw and passed this same siren on I-75 in Knoxville, standing in a substation
It has the same port ratio as the Chrysler Bell Victory siten
Sooner or later i will get an MS290
No it doesn't
Then why does it sound like that
