  • Hello and welcome to my channel! I want to introduce my 1971 Plymouth Barracuda project car. This car requires a complete restoration and I will do my best to document the process in what will be a long series of videos.
In this episode I do a complete disassembly of the car, including cutting it in half! Surprisingly the damage to the car from rust is not as bad as I thought! I can't wait to show you guys more of this build.
If you like my UA-cam content, please consider subscribing to stay up to date. ALSO, check out our Instagram page @rust_bucket_restos as well as our merch available on this page. Thanks for watching!

Im so happy to see you back at it. I watch alot of automotive youtube but your videos are some of the most enjoyable for me. You explain in such simple ways and make it seem easy. It gave me the confidence to start the sheet metal repair on my truck i was afraid of ruining. So far its coming out great! So for that i say thank you.

Rust in the top of the foot box...Geeeze Some years ago I did a 70 Barracuda taken from a junk yard .No engine, trans, driveline or interior A piece of cake compared to this mess...Good luck and TY 4sharing

Really great to see cuda teardown, you'll need to check out under your dash where the vent and heater vents come in they rusted out around those and are easy to overlook when they're hidden under the Cowell when I put my new lower firewall in I sealed those vents cuz they're not sealed when they make them like a piece of stovepipe just spot welded over the hole I also added screen underneath the dash over the holes to make sure mice can't get in again before I mounted the heater and vent pipe back in place. I believe this was the downfall of most of these cars losing their front floors and frame rails.
