A Mountain Goat Mineral Lick

This mineral lick is very large and critical to the survival of a herd of mountain goats. The goats must travel 5 km through a forest from their home mountain to this lick - a very hazardous journey where predators can easily ambush a goat. The goats spend a few days at the lick and then return to their home mountain. They will each make the journey about five times through the spring and summer.
