She was only in the bottom 3 three times. During top 11 for country week, top 9 during Elton John week, then top 8 week for movie week. From top 7 till the finale. She was safe from this moment on.
I remember watching this and it was amazing because it was the first time she seemed to connect with the music instead of just performing it mechanically. Barry just seemed to turn that light on in her. She never looked back after this moment.
One of her best. Beginning and ending in particular, great. Randy in one of his deaf moments (reminded me when he said Kris was out of tune on Falling Slowly). Even Simon that wasnt a fan of her asked him to shut up.
This actually wasn't that good. 😕 her vocals were sharp and pitchy all over. I remember being 12 and thinking this was perfect. Well, I'm 34 now and can actually hear the difference.
