Hey Mighty, you should really check out the 1000tipla by Vilebrequin, it’s a 1300hp LS powered Multipla with a custom RB bodykit making wider than your mo- um, a bus. It’s stupidly incredible and could make a nice « guess the car by the sound » (it’s got a pagani style exhaust) 🇫🇷

I really hope that Porsche can fly!
Add some big wings and drive off a ramp: WEEE
That one Porsche from the 90s could without a Jet engine
Put a giant paraglider wing on it that can be deployed at up to low speeds, hydraulic suspension lift on the front and an exhaust diverter to blow down and back under the front of the car and disengage the output turbine and it probably could fly. The Skyrunner, the only paraglider-based flying car (or dune buggy) I know of, has a max takeoff weight of 1800 lbs, so I don't know where you'd get a super-heavy paraglider wing that could lift a 3200 pound Porsche 928, but its possible. Theoretically. It would also be more cool if the drive turbine output didn't exit through the hood but was ducted to the back of the vehicle and included thermal regenerators, make that 17 mpg into 23 or more and make it far less deafening, though I'd imagine even now Chrysler wouldn't be too willing to show anyone how they did it with their Turbine car.
Edit: Although, NASA's X-38 came back on a parafoil wing, which is the actual term for a paraglider wing, as paraglider implies unpowered flying-parachute-wing, and the X-38 weighed about 23500 pounds on return.

5:27 Its worth notice that before the guys agreed to repair the dent, they've asked the owner to make multiple photos and videos in order to ensure they can do it. Which means that this method of repair is way more complicated and tricky then some can think. I doubt that dealerships have such level of mechanics, which means for them the only option is to replace the whole panel. Unlike "traditional" trucks, like Ford F150, you cannot replace the bed of the truck that simply, you literally have to disassemble the whole car. Cybertruck might be even trickier then Rivians in terms of body repairs. I mean, it is well known problem with many new cars, especially Teslas, since they're very popular, that body repairs become more and more complicated and it seems that modern car companies don't care about it. They just want to buy a new car instead and throw away a car that could otherwise be driven for years if not decades.
In theory, there should be very little need for body repairs on a Cybertruck. The sheet metal does double duty as the main crash structure, meaning that in a typical fender bender, the fenders don't bend. It's like if you've ever backed into something with a trailer hitch the exterior panels are built like THAT. Of course, in a major impact, those panels will deform to absorb the crash forces, along with some sacrificial mounts beneath to protect the passenger compartment and the inner structure. That stuff isn't cheap to replace, but it means the truck can be put back on the road after getting T-boned at road speed. This is as opposed to a traditional unibody where the inner structure (the car part of the car) is used for crash absorption, which totals the car.
The biggest problem owners are probably going to have with the Cybertruck is it will be nigh-impossible to keep the bare, uncoated stainless clean. Reviewers who had mere hours with the thing observed an apocalyptic accumulation of fingerprints and smudges, which stand out like splotches of tar.
How did I only realize halfway through that it’s Scarlet Fire playing? DankPods fans know that one
He summoned the whole dank pods community with scarlet fire.
Hey Mighty, I see your interest in electric-diesal trucks. Checkout the truck Edison Motors is making, uses electric motors powered by a 100KWh battery and/or Diesel generator. Meant for logging in mountains. It's really bad ass and their production prototype is now in testing.
hey mighty, thank you so much for keeping this series alive, it was actually what got me subbed in the 1st place lol
that's a lot of V8 bikes in this video... I think that Mighty might have found his new love
1:13 the chicken was still warm and my father was alive...
The trucks running from an overhead catenary is brilliant, but it just needs a few tweaks to be perfect. A number of trailers can be connected to one tractor unit so that a long line of them could be towed with only one driver being needed. Next the rubber tyres could be replaced with steel discs, then those steel discs could run on long steel bars with minimum friction for maximum efficiency.
I call this idea the Long-O-Mo-Truck.
Hmmm why does this sound familiar 🤔
you should get a patent on that before someone else thinks of it.
@@JTV84 You're right. Someone could steal this genius idea before I can profit from it
5:05 The repair price was so high because rivian truck uses one big body panel around the car, unlike other normal cars, so that's why it costs to much to repair it,
And? Mike Boyette, the man who performed the paintless dent repair, did it for about $7,000. That's a FAR cry from $41,000.
they use one big body panel around the car to later charge you 41000 for a fucking dent
I wish shit like this was suable
Finally another weekly (monthly) dose of automotive stuff!!
That turbine powered Porsche 928 is super cool. I remember stumbling across it before.
Chrysler experimented with turbine powered cars a long time ago. They had a few prototypes in the 60s I think. Pretty interesting stuff.
Few people realize how extensive the Chrysler turbine program was. They started research in the 50s and kept developing it until they went bankrupt in the 80s. The roadgoing public test cars of the 60s were just one step along a crazy extensive program. I speculate the turbine program is the reason Chrysler was one of the VERY few car companies that never licensed the Wankel engine. They had their own great white whale engine program.
Jay Leno has one, working fully.
Most of them had to be destroyed, Chrysler took the turbines out and the Pininfarina bodies had something weird to do with legalizing/taxing and what else was it that they supposedly _had_ to be destroyed.
Sadly, not surviving (specially intact) is the most common fate for prototype cars. Same with the GM EV-1s

that turbine engine porsche is pretty practical considering the mileage it gets
6:10 A HUNGRY SPEAKER
I live right beside the collector/dealership that has the Porsche. I actually took a picture of it Thursday since my buddy takes deliveries of cars there since they’re a Japanese car importer mainly. They have the lowest mileage integra type r in the states as well (1k miles). The place is called Duncan Imports in Virginia
Glad to se Mighty upload in his secondary chanel 😍
That jet car looks awesome and probably has much more PWR but, That has got to be a mechanics nightmare to fix as turbines are not easy at all to fix parts on, especially on a car
I know where this car sits now, its in a car museum in my home town. The video of it you show in the garage is in a local car dealerships personal collection and it has SO MANY other cool cars. Every time I see stuff about this car I have to mention the 3 warehouses full of rare cars it resides in.
4:52 How that guy in the orange shirt did not flinch at all, I have no clue. I would have taken a leap back real quick
it looks like matt from matts offroad recovery(hes even on youtube), sometimes he does events where he spots for others, but he also spots for his friends and random people because hes a very nice pal.
The overhead wires is a smart idea since we all know the ideal drive system is a hybrid that burns a renewable fuel, it utilizes the existing fuel processing infrastructure, lowers fuel usage and lets us rely more on clean, safe nuclear power supplemented by whatever renewables we have (since we also know we cannot rely on those fully due to changing conditions) without wasting so much fuel to produce giant, heavy, unsafe, deadly and explosive lithium battery packs. From what I recall, a base model Tesla Model S battery already has 150k miles of carbon footprint the moment it leaves the factory, and that's just the battery pack, not the rest of the car. So overhead wires for turbine hybrid trucks that use a drive system similar to diesel locomotives electric traction motors is the ideal solution, peaks at a dozen mph over interstate speed limits and has plenty of torque due to independent inboard axial motors and the turbine can shut down when you get onto a road with overhead wires plugged into the local grid powered by nearby nuclear plants, and you rack up a charge for electricity used at local rates. And when you're getting close to turning off the road the driver hits a button that tells the truck to spool back up the turbine again, and by the time he pulls off the turbine has taken over power generation and is maintaining the supercapacitor bank's charge level.
6:02: Actually, is a 2nd gen Fiat Punto
funfact: when the porsche 928 first was releaced it was the fastest car in the world so porsche advertised it by saying "the fastest you can go whitout eating airplane food" and "the fastest you can go whitout a flightassistant so it was quite fitting that the 928 had a boeing engine
the 928 was never the fastest car in the world. do you mean the 959?

nice vid bro
im so happy there was a porsche swapped boeing too
A turbo shaft engine is a type of turbine engine commonly used in helicopters. The turbine spins a shaft which drives rotors allowing the helicopter to lift off the ground. I would assume this idea works in cars as well, with the turbine driving a shaft which drives the rear wheels of the Porsche.
3:30 people who don't understand will go "but where does the electricity come from!?" - Even burning diesel in a huge powerplant and then transmitting it with wires to the truck is more efficient, because a powerplant is not limited by weight, so can achieve around twice the energy output of a mobile diesel unit, per liter of diesel you burn. So your trucks would drive twice as far on the same amount of diesel if you had fully electric trucks and burned the same diesel in a big stationary heavy efficient multi-stage generator.
that 928 is crazy
Finaly some SAAB's in your vids. As a saab enthusiast i am SOOOOOO happy
I wonder the decibel reading for the Boeing-Porsche engine’s idle
i watched the vid about the repair, and the 43k makes sense for a dealership to say. it’s the official way to do it so that’s what they’ll say. but the repair they did in the video is CRAZY impressive, and not many people could do it.
bro be casually hitting 50k rpm with that porsche ☠☠☠
