Title: "You don't need supports" 😉
Gotta clickbait somehow haha
Nice good information
Sometimes it’s an idea to split it in two parts when there is symmetry and just glue them together. For your hooks this might be it. So cut it in the middle print it in the right orientation and glue them.
digging the videos and the Bobby tat
Thank you haha

appreciate the vids, fellow engineer with passion in 3d printing. Maybe you could do a video explaining key parts of orca slicer IE wall thickness and what not as that would be really helpful to get a full understanding, I used to use cura before switching and it had a guide that would give in depth details on whatever you hover over
Sure that’s a good idea! I’ll add that to the list of video ideas :)
Built in support in cad for the last part
Oh so you're saying design the support in yourself? That's a good idea and I've never tried something like that, but that would be a nice tutorial to make too!
@@ButterPockets This is how all the Voron parts are designed, most don't require supports, but the few that need supports include them in the part. One example is the guidler for the V0.2 Mini Stealthburner.
@@kiloqubit yeah I went and experimented with it a bit after this video. If I recall when I printed my 0.1 parts nothing had supports or even built in ones but I could be wrong. I’ll check out the 0.2 parts for inspiration!
@@ButterPockets another example is the V2/Trident Stealthburner front cowling, the leaf spring that holds the 5015 fan has a built-in tab under it that acts as a support during printing, and then it just breaks when you push the spring during fan installation.
