This performance is out of this world. I was completely mesmerized by Gould.
He was incredible...impeccable work product...
何と美しく力強く繊細なのでしょう。私の魂にそれらを与えてくださってありがとうございます。
BWV 830 is without doubt by far the greatest of the 6 keyboard partitas and it's also one of the supreme masterpieces for piano solo of all time. The style of this recording seems not the typical style of Glenn Gould as the tempo of every movement is much slower, more elaborate than what Gould would have normally done. But I personally feel it is authentically Gould, I can tell from the colours and the powerfully prominent bass so unique of Gould. Notably, the delicate beauty and melancholy brought out in the Toccata movement is a work of genius so worthy of Bach himself.
How can a human be so consistent, clear consise, crisp?
James Connor and also retain the human element
He also had idiosyncracies very harmless & endearing.
He was so consistent, clear, concise & crisp because of innate intelligence that was moved by beauty...
This is just Gould. This performance is so romantic and perfect. I was impressed deeply. Thanks a lot !!!
Gould's performance makes me comfortable and peaceful.
for some reason the toccata makes me think about the end of the world, a sunset, that kind of thing, when you know it's the end of a cycle and you reflect on what happened or didn't and whatnot.
And nobody else can give me that feeling other than Gould.
Personally I think the end of the world will be more violent with fire and emotion as depicted by Jesus. 😥😊🙏
so beautiful!
What a wonderful way to begin one's day!
what a perfect polyphony. If one can imagine the angel choir it should be it.
My hero of the piano !
I love his recording BWV830 & BWV831 when he was young.
バッハの曲優雅ですね❤
ひたすらに美しい
4.40-5.00. Господи, какое умиротворение!
Thank you
グールドが歌っていますね
そうですね。グールドが大好き
Just heard Tatiana Nikolaevna whose Goldberg Variations are so beautiful. In this partita (and the Goldberg) this very young Glenn Gould could make this music soar in a new way. Is it the touch or the tempi? Probably both contribute to this great recording.
Tatiana Nikolaevna's recording of Bach's Partita No.6 is also fantastic and not at all inferior to Gould's
Is Gould playing Bach . . . or is Bach playing Gould ??
Alex Barclay cosmic feedback loop of excellence
Alex Barclay ok ok
バッハが甦った!
グールド自身もこの演奏を超えることはできなかったと、私は思います。
Thanks
Until 9:52 ... I feel as if I'm walking in the deep forest... without a smartphone...

It is Gould. The recording has been improved from the original mono vinyl.I have been listening to this for at least 5000 times since 1969 when I was 8 while studying this work with my piano teacher.
