I love the changes to the story they had in this movie. How they had The Little Prince grow up and then remembers what happened when he was in the desert. And how they added a little girl to know about the story and the aviator grows old and tells the little girl the story.
I know right? This Climax is really Beautiful, specially with the stars and Hans Zimmer's music... I remember watching the scene of the girl walking in the stars and I thought: "Wow, that scene must be beautiful!" and yes! My expectations were exceeded, made me wish I could walk in there too :)
The best scene is when the meaning of the asteroids and setting of the story is reveal, at the last part. That the asteroids and its names are hospital rooms and room numbers. Then you'll realize how the story is written. It's brilliant. Sad but wonderfully brilliant.

In the book there are no Hospital, what are you talking about. And what you said isn't true. The Hospital room we saw in the last part are 123, 124, 125 (Aviator's Room) and the asteroids name are 325, 326, 327, 328 and b-612. And the same happens when the Aviator goes to the hospital with the child following him, the only room we see is 505. Just checked everything. Dunno what Book you read, or film you've seen.

Given that it's a French film, they based it off of a French plane. The Spad XIII, which was used in WW1. The only problem is the Spad was a Inline while this is a radial. And it even has the blisters on the cowl which the Spad 13 had, it's pretty odd.

Strangely enough, this scene have a lot of similarities with the destruction of Laputa in Laputa Castle in the Sky. - Each scene is about a character deciding to make a stand for what they believe in front of adult. - Both are help by another character (male or female) - Even though there is an act of destruction, is it accompanied by a pretty good musical piece that tells us that it's the best thing that happen. - They both escape on flying machine to reunite with someone important. I don't know if this was intentional but I couldn't get this out my head. The Little Prince (2015) and Laputa Castle in the Sky are movies that I love very much. If that was intentional or they draw inspiration from I round it pretty awesome.
