Following the Pitfall Path - Animal Crossing: City Folk

- This Animal Crossing pitfall video shows villagers trapping themselves and staying there until I release them to walk into a line of pitfall seeds. They follow the pitfall path to their own doom! I did this by observing the paths that villagers take around town, and setting a trap (by digging holes in a strategic location). The video also features a large snowball that either hovers in the air, or balances on Puck's head, for a full second! Either way, it's a pretty cool thing to see! The game being played is Animal Crossing: City Folk (ACCF) for Nintendo Wii. The villagers shown are Puck, Bones, Monty, and two brief appearances by Tiffany.
Trivia: Pascal was in town (and you may have seen the scallop in my pockets), and I planned to have him float down the waterfall as the main event was unfolding. However, the first time I went too far away from the trap area, I saw that villagers got out of the trap. So if I went back to trigger Pascal, my villagers likely would have been set free...and possibly fall into the pitfalls prematurely. That would have ruined everything.
Trivia #2: Wonder why my pitfall videos are usually City Folk? In the GameCube game, pitfalls are too rare. In Wild World, it's hard to push villagers, they don't get angry after being pitfall'd, and Wild World has the worst graphics of the four main AC games anyway. As for New Leaf, I don't have a 3DS capture device. So ACCF is the best choice for pitfall videos, at least until I get my paws on New Horizons.
The pitfall tally screen at the end uses music from Pilotwings (SNES). This video also uses Acedio's Animalese tool at acedio.github.i....

They're not supposed to move in specific patterns, but I guess 2009 AI isn't the best at totally random paths.

One day, a little boy named jeff played Animal Crossing: City Folk. He fell in a pit fall seed one day and vowed to collect them all (like pokemon). He then said " These will never be useful, but at least I'm helping villagers"
Oh but they did come in handy children. He trapped every last villager until the day he died. Legend says Peta went at him screaming their warcry "ANIMAL ABUSERS NEVER SURVIVE". He died instantly, but the animals he hurt will never forget. Ever...... Mainly cuz they spit on his grave every day but eh.
I left out that the reason u hate villagers is because while you were at war they hung ur wife and son and burned ur farm down. That might be the plot to gladiator but, like I said earlier, eh.
Where do you get all the pitfalls tho? By playing every day?
Also can we talk about how monty was pushing bones into the pitfalls with his smug face??? That hurt my heart :((
I get them by digging them up, and also from the lost and found. I don't play every day, but I have been saving up pitfalls for months. And yeah, I felt so bad for Bones.

I feel bad for bones the dog and puck the penguin, but not for the monkey, but its a funny thing to do, and i like the idea you try in another game but maybe you need to do some little study about the routes of the villagers and how get enought pitfall seeds, we know in wild world in the lost and found you can get some and if you are careful you can get more with the shovel, but for the other games i don't know. And bones look he is calling for help in the pitfall, hahaha.

I went and bought a new nunchuk last night so I could start playing city folk again. It was so annoying with out it and I've missed playing.

Jeff, which do you prefer, Wild World or City Folk? I honestly like City Folk more but they’re both good. Why I personally don’t like Wild World as much is that it just feels very slow, stuttery, and awkward to play. It’s also really hard to get bells, but it’s at least not like New Leaf where it’s just way too easy to get bells.
I agree, I prefer City Folk. Even just changing tools seems so slow in Wild World.

Thank you! I thought it would help show that this is primarily an Animal Crossing channel, especially with New Horizons coming out next month. I may make some slight changes to it though, because I'm not quite 100% happy with it.

Apparently not all USB keyboards work, but many basic ones will. If you have any others, give them a try.

You can clear out items in the lost and found and there should pitfall seeds ther
One will be buried in town each day, plus they accumulate in the lost and found also. I save them up until I have a few dozen, so I can do crazy things like this.
