      yes definitely, you have to make the decision if this design will work for your gem as it does cover up a portion of the stone.

    That looks cool. I love all the ideas you show for making so much. I think what I like most is you don't talk down in your videos. I feel like you are a great teacher of wire wrapping. I don't feel stupid when you are talking. I am just starting out in wire wrapping and in lapidary, so you are perfect for that. Thank you so much.

    Love, Love, Love this video. I made these links with 26 gauge wire many years ago for practice. They were too week to use for jewelry so I just stored them. It never occurred to me that I could hammer them to add some strength. Thank you for the inspiration.

    Cool hint with the multistep bail shaping pliers is (and i use this tip myself so i can verify its truth on the beadsmith brand) the bit below the bottom bails (just above the pivot) is the perfect measure for the smallest mandrel (2mm diameter) so if you want to make sure that you have enough for a 2 mm loop, you can place the wire gently in the bottom part of the pliers with one side up against where you want your loop to end, and then cut flush with the other side, and you will have just enough wire to form a 2mm loop

    • @OxanaCrafts

  • @lauresa10

    Don't you want to trim the wire scraps so the both ends are flush cut? They will sit better when rolling them into a loop.

  • @debbiegoble9836

    Can we use same things for a square stone and other shapes?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  3 роки тому +1

      square stone might slip out if all the wires are on the two sides of it where the loops are, you'd have to make sure to put some of the wires around the angles of the square so it is being trapped from all sides if you know what I mean.

    I’m just starting in making resin pieces including cabochon but I have to ask about copper. I bought raw copper than turns your skin green. How do I fix that? I’d hate to sell a piece to someone only to get a bad review because it stained their skin. Thank you for your video. Very informative.

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  2 роки тому

      raw copper will turn some people's skin green, maybe you can put that as a disclaimer when you sell so there are no surprises. Most people like it because it is healing. Alternatively you could use brass or silver which won't turn skin green

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  9 місяців тому

      You could do this design with an oval instead of round. The most simple bracelet tutorial I have would be using beads.
