Because I am a beginner, I am enjoying this series. Please include a video of how to actually cut. Example - where do I place the line of the ruler - exactly on the edge of the fabric?…with just a thread of fabric showing?…or just off the edge of the fabric. I am struggling with placement of the ruler line. Thank you

Natalie, I would really love to see you “revisit” some of the older videos and update them with the newer ways to cut. Making the flying geese the no-waste method, the four patches two at a time instead of four squares, using strip piecing, and finally, the four or eight at a time half square triangles method. I used to avoid any quilt with flying geese because I was not good at making them and I hated wasting so much fabric. The new method is easy and doesn’t waste fabric. These newer methods save fabric, reduce errors, and make me a better quilt maker. Thanks for all you, and family, do to help all of us out here!

Hi Nat! You sure are one terrific lady, l can think of another two or three, too. I look forward to seeing much more from you, Dear Girl! MSQC is my very favorite site and watch and rewatch all MSQC videos continually, several daily (l only miss a day when l’m sick), as l have since 2015 when l discovered you when wanting to buy quilting supplies online. Before that l’d event taught quilting at a big quilting, etc. store at the mall. I’d learned to quilt in 1994, but Oh MY Gosh, have l ever learned a Whole Lot from your sweet mom, you and Misty! It would be really, really good, Natalie, to see you making more videos, since you have such creative ideas and your quilts always draw the eye! It would be nice to see Sarah more often, as well. Love, admiration and appreciation to all of you. Many , many blessings to you and yours. 🥰- Constance Welch
