  • Maeerxu Sent us one of their lights to test out their user interface. It is all new and included RGB Aux LEDs and is definitely the first of its kind. They are ahead of the game on this and it is a wonder to play with.

    where do I begin? I have many lights. I think I am one of Hanks best clients with over 40 Noctigon, Emisar lights I love the dual channel tint-able lights. That is what brought me to Maeerxu and these unique lights. I just received my first today. I hope to be able to figure out this UI soon. Liked and subscribed I will see you around. Thanks for the video it is much easier then reading instructions for me

      Right on! I am glad the video is able to help you. I love the light, my only problem is, I have so many others, this is the most confusing UI to remember. It makes it difficult to keep on hand unless I have the UI sheet with me.

    The more I watched this review, the more I didn't want this light. Which is why I'm glad I watched, thank you! 99% of its light modes are nothing useful you would ever need an EDC light to do. It's way too many modes and menus for its own good and without even holding it I know I'd get very confused and frustrated trying to navigate my way through such a complex, non intuitive interface. And the interface requires such constant pressing of one single switch that I question how long it would last before failing.

    • @torchesandtactical
      @torchesandtactical  Рік тому +2

      If I'm frank, if there were a small step in the switch to differentiate the half press and a full click on the switch, it would be so much better. There is no definition in the engagement that shooting these scenes took forever!

    • @torchesandtactical
      @torchesandtactical  Рік тому +2

      Once it is set though, you shouldn't really have to go back in at all. Switch would probably be okay in the long run.

      @@torchesandtactical Lol, I bet it took forever using a one button interface and all those presses and flashes and whatever! A compact, super bright, versatile and reliable EDC light is a must have for my job. Nothing ticks all those boxes off for me like the Olight Baton 3. Low, medium, high, two presses for max bright, three for strobe, boom, that's everything you need and the interface is simple and intuitive. Love it so much that when I saw the new Olight Baton 3 Eternal copper/titanium engraved variant I didn't hesitate. It just arrived today and WOW. It's un effing believable. It looks so future tech and retro antique at the same time, and the copper looks amazing. Best $99 purchase I've ever made, for real.

      David, you can do all that with anduril. The only anduril tail switch I know of is Hank/Noctigon. You can set how many levels you want and the brightness. Plus you can do dual channel and pick any emitters you want. 😊

      Olight does everything so well (UI and looks with competitive output/runtimes) I don’t see a reason to use another brand. I’ve watched hundreds of reviews but nothing makes me want to kick the Baton 2 out of my pocket,

    What's the Simple mode gear memory, #3 on the config options menu do? And #4- Stepless dimming data memory- does that switch between stepless dimming and simple mode? I love all of the options, but can't find that info anywhere. I have a DF01 Titanium

    • @torchesandtactical
      @torchesandtactical  Рік тому +2

      Hey Dave! Yes, the Stepless dimming ramps up (or down) the brightness instead of having set levels. If you go into simple mode, you then select one of the options following that so you can set up different levels of brightness. I hope this helps! :)

    What do you mean by clicks? Do you mean half-clicks? If so, I am very confused. Mine only works half the time, and half-clicks just revert back or reset to wherever I am in the UI.

    Hi, your tutorial helped me a lot to understand the UI and the programming as it was a little overwhelming. You probably mentioned this and i missed it, but I 've watched the video 5 times in a row and can't seem to figure out... how do I program the light so when I turn it on it goes straight to the main light (not aux) I had before instead of the "rainbow" aux light?
    *Never mind I figured it out :) Thanks again for the tutorial, it was sooo helpful!

    Great video! Does it have stepless ramping? and how low is the moonlight? Ty for this.

    • @torchesandtactical
      @torchesandtactical  Рік тому +3

      Hey there!
      Yeah, it does have stepped dimming. Setting that up is accessible from the "main lamp mode" menu under configurations.
      Also, I can get a reading for you as soon as a current runtime test is complete on another light. 🙂

    • @torchesandtactical
      @torchesandtactical  Рік тому +2

      I just got my reading on it's moonlight. Not the lowest thing in the world. Registered as 1 lumen, but occasionally bounced to 2.
