Has become my favourite as well. Not as feature rich as Anduril but easier to program and recall, have 2 right now from MTN Elect. waiting to go into hosts.
I honestly prefer using clicky modes I’ve set up to Anduril a lot of the time. Anduril is a top tier UI, and it can do so much-so I’m not disparaging it at all. It’s just that ramping is sometimes slow, and I find it l’s often too easy to accidentally 2H from off instead of a 1H to ramp from the bottom, and then you blast your sleeping loved one. I have no such issues with H17f or Lux-RC.
I had built my first s2+ as a triple with this driver. Figured I'd check your video for a re-cap and was thoroughly entertained by your clear and engaging explanation! Thanks :D Where I prefer anduril or the zebralight UI wherever possible, I think this driver allows a level of consistency and is the best thing for mechanical switch applications! (Short memory is amazing for indoor use)
Yes, this driver and UI is infinitely better for my “midnight bathroom trips” without waking loved ones than Anduril, where there is a high degree of accidentally hitting momentary turbo and then getting yelled at.
There was a guy on eBay who would let you custom tune the modes and he'd supply the PCB ready to go, tiny 12x20 PCB that ran cold👍. I always hated jumping from bright to low, or not knowing if your at the max level and over clicking, so ordered one with about 8 modes that ramped up and back down with a fake max mode that dipped down then back up in the middle. Ordered a few different configs, it was fun to play with. Always hoped to be able to hack into the cheap flashlights...why I'm here 😁 ⚔️death to strobe modes⚔️
Hey man! Been digging all the light content as im going down the rabbit hole albeit more on the custom side and not quite as nerd level as some folks, although i respect it. I had a question. I got a Laulima Ion Slim and it has this driver. The turbo mode is driving me nuts. You can program everything on it, but I can’t find a way to turn off the double tap to turbo feature. Sometimes i cycle modes quickly and then i get blasted with turbo haha. Not to mention how hot this thing gets on higher settings. Any tips on turning that mode/feature off?
@@cheuleits funny right? Everything has its drawbacks haha. The seemingly perfect driver, beaten by a turbo mode. The Dragon driver has too bright a moonlight setting and limited options. Still need to get a BOSS, but only seeing the Moff switch version. Idk what that is but im a clicky guy. Anyway, thanks for the reply and for fueling the new addiction
@@cheuleahh but you can change the brightness on that double click mode. So i just set it to somewhere between my moonlight and second mode. So if i accidentally tap it, it just feels like im cycling through. I swear i tried that already, but u just double tap to turbo, save it as ur mode for a second. Then change brightness.

you can factory reset to start over, just quick 8 taps from ON or OFF till it blinks (make sure to hold the switch in ON during the last tap), followed by another 10 taps
I'm in a similar situation myself. I went to try to mess with the programming, trying to add the fast strobe mode, ended up messing something up. I have 4 modes now, with the 4th one being a slow strobe, but now I can't even get back into the programming mode. Very frustrating.
@@tehpwnzor1337hey man just went through this. Might be too late now, but i learned u have to go real quickly with the taps (half presses) to get into programming. Then you go a little slower, more deliberately once you are into programming. I had trouble resetting as well so what i did was deleted any special modes like strobe, then added more modes (if needed til u have the number you want) then set the brightnesses for each mode. Got it dialed. Once you get the hang of the taps and timing, its pretty easy though. I just can’t turn off double tap to turbo
I'm considering converting my Convoy S2+ shorty into a triple, but using the stock 5A driver. What kind of output could I expect to see from a triple LH351D 5000K with the 5A driver?

You cannot disable turbo on h17f! I have hear other say it is frustrating, but for me I just learned to tap slower and not accidentally trigger it.

I’m having an extremely difficult time resetting the driver back to factory settings,I’ve lost moon mode and can’t get it back

I’m confused, do you mean with the H17f? This driver has FET.
