The motors are not the core problem of electric vehicles. Replacement of permanent magnets by electric windings has been usual in power plants for more than a century. The problem is energy storage: A battery has much more mass per kilowatt hour than a fuel tank. Filling a fuel tank at the station equals a power of several megawatts.
1 ltr petrol delivers about 10 kWh. A medium car holds 50 ltr. So about 500 kWh. A large EV holds 75 kWh. Thats the reason most EV have less reach. Of course an electric car is far more efficient .
@@wimjacobs5297But petrol engine is only 15-25% efficient. So only 2kWh. Also if battery energy density comes upto 500 Wh electric vehicles would have the same or more range and with the same weight.
@@gottfriedheumesser1994It takes at least 3 minutes to fill-up a petrol car. Also there batteries like Aluminum ion batteries which can charge within a minute.
Hey, team I've checked that you have not uploaded any videos from 7 months. lmk if you need any help regarding video production or complete automation so we'll discuss further.
2 problems with EVs. The batteries, lack of travel kilometres and the long time to recharge. I have a 3L diesel Jeep with a 90L fuel tank. I can travel 1000ks on a full tank and refuel in 10 minutes.
I'm in the large minority of people traveling less than 300 KM a day.... As for recharge, 99% of my charges are made at home while i sleep, talk about something very hard to bear. And on the road, @ 150KW you get 80% charge in 15 min every 250KM, what a waste of time... But yeah, i know you enjoy sitting in your seat the whole 1000KM without a break, i know majority of people do that... What about maintenance costs? Durability? Fuel price? Yeah i know, you like all of it too.
Hi Guy. Yes for city driving EVs are good but my Jeep is 10 years old (170000ks) and no problems. I wonder if your EV will be still going with out a major expense on new batteries
@@johnrider7619 We'll see but 170 000 km is not impressive at all... so you're not doing 1000km straight very often! How much did you spend in gaz and maintenance for the last 10 years? In my case, 120 000 KM in 4 years, no maintenance cost at all and 225$ of economy each month vs gaz, not bad at all isn't it? Enjoy your Jeep if you like it, cool for you.
See the car that runs on salt water. Called “Nanoflow cell” or “Quant Car” or “quantino”. Just drain tank, fill with salt water for 600 miles. Gets 15 miles per gallon. It is on You Tube. Up to 1,050 horsepower. The car uses no rare earth I believe.
We simply do not have the grid power to take over all internal combustion vehicles. It will take immense investments and a decade or more to make the switch. Not all nations can do this either. If electric power replaces fossil fuels, we will be more dependent on more fragile technologies that can be interrupted with less difficulty. Sequestering biomass and increasing efficient use of fossil fuels in combination with real market power to overcome fossil fuels on their own merit is best in my opinion.

EV's isn't heavier than a fossile car. BMW M3 is the same weight as a Tesla model 3. Yes, the dry weight are a little lower. But, does a fossile car run without oil, gas, and other fluids? Tesla model 3's weight are almost 50/50. So, the pressure on the axles are better for the road. So, stop spredning lies.
I'm sure we all salute this ingenuity of mankind. Well done !

in slovenia ZF produces EV motors, our company made some equipment for them. The after market potential for EVs is wide open as a service industry.
Ok but ... Can we now charge the battery fully in less than 5 mn?
W jakim czasie rozładuje akumulator ? Pół godziny ? O ile trzeba zwiększyć masę akumulatorów aby wykorzystać moc o tonę czy więcej?

Koenigsegg Gemera will utilize Dark Matter and the hybrid system will have a total output of 2300 horsepower...

Why not a very very small and very highly efficient carbon based (gas) engine turning a electric generator that drives electric motors?
