Installing Gas Hood Struts on a Honda CR-Z

The bits that hold the hood prop on the frame of our CR-Z are missing, so it's a pain to quickly open and prop the hood, especially over and over in a short time period. So today we are adding some gas-powered struts to the hood to help it lift up automatically when unlatched and stay up as long as needed, no intervention required. You can find gas struts like these all over on places like Amazon and eBay for low prices, it's a small investment for a small convenience that goes a long way.

This kit is CRZ specific. The brackets and length were not chosen by us.
