K-Swap Prep: Picking Up a New Heart for the CR-Z!
Переглядів 4662 місяці тому
One of the main reasons I bought a CR-Z was because it looked sporty and fast - now the real work begins to build a car that lives up to those expectations! We picked up a K20Z3 engine and transmission from an 09 Civic Si at a relatively local salvage yard. With a few repairs and upgrades, it will be ready to power the CR-Z! We still have lots more parts to collect and fabricate for the swap, b...
Honda CR-Z Noblesse Wing Restoration and Installation!
Переглядів 1,2 тис.3 місяці тому
One of the big aesthetic body mods finally arrives today - the genuine Noblesse carbon fiber rear spoiler! I have always loved this particular style, and when I saw this particular wing on a Japanese auction site at an incredibly low price I had to snatch it up. Obviously, a part like this with a low price tag comes with a few flaws, but in this video I'm going to show you the various issues th...
How to Remove or Replace Rear Bumper and Diffuser on a Honda CR-Z
Переглядів 8244 місяці тому
In this video we are going to take a quick look at the removal process for the rear bumper cover of a 2011 Honda CR-Z. This is a fairly quick and simple removal, and I've also made a couple notes regarding the rear license plate lights, lower bumper reflectors, and removing the diffuser from the bumper cover itself
Project CR-Zpirit - 1 Of 1 Custom Taillight Install
Переглядів 1,4 тис.4 місяці тому
One of the first real show-stopping modifications is finally on the car - the custom taillights built from the ground up in collaboration with Foxbeam Lighting! These taillights are sick - built using OEM lens and housing cores, the entire inside has been gutted and replaced with 3D printed internals and laser cut and machined acrylic optics for a super unique appearance! Some of the finer deta...

It's Christmas time, and the CR-Z isn't left out when it comes to getting gifts. FedEx just dropped off a huge box full of Japanese body parts and we can't wait to replace the damaged OEM panels with what's inside!

How to Remove, Replace, or Delete the Rear Wiper of a Honda CR-Z
Переглядів 2,1 тис.Рік тому
Today we are improving the appearance of our CR-Z (by my standards, anyway) by removing and plugging up the factory window wiper installed on the rear glass of the CR-Z hatch. In this video we will go over changing the wiper blade, or fully removing the wiper arm and motor assembly from the trunk, as well as using a custom 3D-printed rubber plug to seal the hole in the window. I tested this plu...

Today we are getting lit - at least, the interior of project CR-Zpirit is. We are replacing all the missing or burned out bulbs on the interior with white LED bulbs. This video is a quick walkthrough on how to access and replace every interior bulb on the CR-Z, including the console, footwells, and glovebox. Installing Gas Hood Struts on a Honda CR-Z
Переглядів 1,8 тис.Рік тому
The bits that hold the hood prop on the frame of our CR-Z are missing, so it's a pain to quickly open and prop the hood, especially over and over in a short time period. So today we are adding some gas-powered struts to the hood to help it lift up automatically when unlatched and stay up as long as needed, no intervention required. You can find gas struts like these all over on places like Amaz...

JDM Full LED 'Final Label' Headlight Installation on Honda CR-Z Made Easy!
Hey there! I have my CRZ and I would like to get a new engine like yours.
Where did you get those headlights ?
My hybrid fan turns on loud at random times, even after turning the car off for a bit. Recently it happened and finally gave CEL P1448. I cleared the code and it hasn't happened again yet. Does this sound like it just needs the fan replacement?
Yes, sounds like the fan could definitely be on its way out and use a replacement. Check the ducts and filters and make sure there isn't debris or blockage as well.
On the same boat as you with mine. If you could share the link for harness that’d be awesome!
We got the harness for this specific engine from 2nrs.
are u going turbo with the build!?
Where could I buy them ?
Can do you a video on the led reflector installation?
Yes Stay tuned Video.of this topic will be upload next week on my channel
Good luck!! I really want to see this as I plan to kswap mine sometime in the future!
Funny enough, I was just looking for a video on how to replace the struts for crz. Thanks for the video. Also probably going to have to do the control arm and tie rod ends because the bushings are going bad.
Alright man I GOTTA know how you hooked up the rainbow lighting to your cluster. I've got one torn apart on my desk right now trying to follow the RGB traces for the 3 modes color display so I can tap into it for other interior lights (with some sort of middleman circuit so I don't fry the board) I don't see a video about that on your channel, I assume you used some circuitry you have for the headlights / tail lights and wired it up to the cluster? Looks amazing man.
❤
Brooooo let’s goooooo!!!
Awesome, looking forward to seeing this.
👍
nice looking forward to watching this series :))
Good stuff! Cant wait to see some actual substantive content on the CR-Z for once 👍
Very excited to watch this! Looking forward to seeing updates 🙏
Damn i'm actually first for a change. Here i go! I have 2 cr-zs (6spd, cvt) i am wanting to put a k20c1 into it, however i was told it would be easier to get a k20z4 or k20a, regardless i am very invested in this series! Thank you for your commitment to the CR-Z community. Also i shared your videos on there i hope you don't mind :)
Swap certainly depends on what engines are easily or cheaply available near you, power goals, etc. For this winter we are going with a pretty much stock K20Z3 from the 8th gen Si. This is one of the simpler routes in terms of swap parts and wiring as far as I am aware. But next winter we may build it out for more power or do a frankenswap with a K24.
@@cr.zpirit Amazing! Thank you for your reply, i will be keeping my eye on this project quite closely!
Hello "cr.zpirit" I saw that in your channel have some problems. For these problems your channel is not much growing. Not getting much engagement. If you can solve these problems, Your channel will get more engagement. If you can give me permission I can tell to you about these problems. Can I tell here or email? Okay?
Cool headlights 👍, could you please share where did you buy them?
earned a sub. I'm collecting parts to do a coil install as well as replacing the worn ball joints / control arms. looking forward to that vid soon
Do keep in mind, on the CR-Z the outer ball joint is inseparable from the control arm. The whole unit needs to be replaced as one part unfortunately. Hoping to have this video up soon!
bro you're a legend, this on my to do list and with your video now i am going to bump up its urgency . i got this crunch or weird vibration now and then on corners and the steering rack appears 100% so this was my next bet!
@@KeebaAfrica definitely check over all the hardware as you go and make sure it's properly tightened, and as I mentioned check your axle boots and ball joints on the control arm for any damage as well. When those get damaged and lose their grease they can also cause noise and instability issues.
Is it really necessary to remove the cover to replace it?
@@ygggu6767ef I would strongly recommend it. I did a coilover install on my Fit a couple years ago without doing that, and couldn't fit a key in the center to hold the shock. I spent a long time trying to torque down the top end and ended up rounding off several nuts in the process. It doesn't take much extra time at all. Just some plastic clips and the wiper bolts. For the little effort it makes accessing the top hardware so much easier.
You are doing a huge service to CR-Z owners. Thank you for taking the time to record all of this footage.
Did the loose struts have any symptoms when driving?
Definitely, there was loud clunking during any speed or steering changes and poor feedback when steering in general. No noise and tight handling now!
Nice vid, and the fitment is looking much better too! I would suggest putting some sort of anti-seize on the rear coilover threads, as mine locked up pretty bad and wouldn't free up with conventional methods. I had to take an air hammer to it and destroy it (cosmetically) in the process to be able to adjust the ride height again. Keep up the great content as usual!
Thank you, and great suggestion! We may be diving back in to remove one ring from the spring perch for a tiny bit of extra low - great opportunity to add this in while it's apart again.
want to lower mine with the same kit probably next month! this is perfect timing! Nice video
Any idea what is the PN of the OEM rear reflectors? I'd rather put that than a cheap LED kit 😅
For the 2011-2015, the numbers are 33505-SZT-003 and 33555-SZT-003. For the 2016, it's 33505-SZT-901 and 33555-SZT-901.
What about the tail light that's on the trunk?
In Russia, we make such spoilers from fiberglass and then just paint them. My orange CR-Z has the same spoiler on it
Thanks for the work and the video. It looks really good! Could you advise me on purchasing a Noblesse spoiler? I've been looking for one for a long time, and used, it would be a great option... Thank you for your response.
I got this from a Japanese auction website, used ones are few and far between so you just need to be watching and waiting.
I m also using manual Zf1 chassis 😊
i AM SO HYPED! stock manual on a cr-z surprised me, and is one of my favourites
Surprised me as well, when I bought the car I honestly thought it already had a short shifter installed!
Have not seen anybody upload a video on how to install the rear reflector LEDs on a CRZ. I assume it's not much different than the ones for other vehicles but it would be nice to see one explicitly for this car.
I will uploading the complete installation video within this week on this Topic Stay tuned
Wow I had no idea my car had all these interior lights lol
Hi "cr.zpirit" - In your channel have some problems, that's why your channel is not much growing. And if you can solve, Your channel will get more engagement like storm. If you want I can tell these problems. Can I tell? Where? Here or in email?
Personally i like the Mugen spoiler more but this Noblesse is a strong 2nd favourite. Love your content!
Thank you! I do appreciate the Mugen, but I feel like I see it on a lot of builds. The Noblesse fits the lines of the car quite well I think, and I just couldn't pass up the auction price when I saw it!
Great job man. Looks good.
About to go home and raise my cr-z up a little bit more.. just a little bit too low for me
Nice!
Awesome ❤
Sir ur content is very informative I also bought same colour of crz in blue ❤
May i ask how to change dash meter blue light modified to white please?
Where did the backseat lights come from? I've never seen them in my CR-Z.
It’s so nice to see someone working on this car 🙌🏽 I love mines but recently I’m having issues with the a/c system, it seems to happen a lot on hondas, have you planned to make a video check your a/c? Greetings from Guatemala!
Please check yours AC solenoid.. mostly probably solenoid need to be replaced which is a very cheap replacement...
I’m planning on getting a center exhaust diffuser to go with the Remus exhaust for my cr-z in the near future.
Go ahead
this a big W for the CR-Z community!
Haha thats so cool man
Bro where can I order one of those crz rear whopper delete plugs you installed on your crz?
Bad ass
