    It's depressing that this is still happening.

    How is punching your son not considered abuse? Isn't hitting your kids the very definition of abuse?

      Yup. More potential suicides. I lost 5 in the last two years to PTSD. I've almost killed myself a few times. I wish it on no one.

      Physical assault, sexual assault and bullying can create post traumatic stress disorder. This systemic abuse against women and minorities needs to stop now. Otherwise you are correct in saying there will be more and more victims of ptsd.

    Investigate City hall for supervisor harassment. Start with staff off on sick leave.

      Citation please. Giving very broad general statements with no clear evidence to support it, is contributing to the misinformation about the fire service. That is, unless you've worked in fire department across Canada...

    Women encounter social isolation, performance pressures, sexual harassment, obstacles to mobility, moments of both high visibility and invisibility, co-workers' doubts about their competence and low levels of workplace social support. Chronic exposure to these types of social stressors is known to cause vulnerability to disease and mortality through dysregulation of the human body's stress response. www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2015-08/iu-wim082215.php

    I find her situation was normal in that kind of environment. life is not easy and fair and does not care when you give up your life. she should have not been wick. but women and men are different in very distinctive and multiple ways. I now it was really what she was feeling and going through. butt one person's perception is not the same as the another person's perception or even an emotion or what they're going through and it just asking it's a classic and it's going to be always like that firefighters is a living through elementary all over again. bullies will always be bullies even if they grow up characters already forged victims stay victims by choice in that situation. 7 years that is crazy story I feel for her but just think about it it's like that everywhere it's part of our way of life. I guess she just never got bullied growing up and had to find a solution to the problem by yourself starts with the person yourself. I'm just thinking about it like as soon as she made the complaint it just made it worse and worse for her and every time she got transferred it just sucks because if she was just handled it differently from the beginning. and not go straight to a f****** telling on your brother's ,you didn't like the way they talk to you on the job that's f****** wick. she gave them the power. but they don't see or feel the same way because that's how we are in different environments. (as humans). I'm not trying to be a ass. but saying what most logical Behavior in our society. woman, man not the same. but you want to be equals you going to be treated l as equals. I'm saying we've come a long way as history teacher us. But life doesn't care and discriminate it's just not fair life. you have to fight everyday. she should know that she's a firefighter.!

      it used to be. but i have several friends on the toronto fire service of various ethnicities and all love the job and say that old school mentality is actually not something they have encountered. In addition to that there are female firefighters who are amazing at the job, in some cases better than the fellas. I know the city is currently trying hard to make the diversity of toronto more represented on the fire crews..........but that go back to africa comment is a bit much.

      +Clayton Darius I have met the quality of all genders, races and creeds. I have also met the dregs of the the same, Nobody is perfect. I guess I'm a middle of the road type of guy, I'm also a firefighter. I let the actions of those I meet speak for them. I guess we have just had different life experiences. I respect that.

    What do you expect from fire fighters? Plus where are these people's proof of harassment?

    • @thepeakoflife
      @thepeakoflife 8 років тому +2

      ***** You mean would people lie. Who's to say they didn't do the same to feminine males ex/fire fighters? We just laugh them off along with the fire fighters. There's no need to give women special treatment. If they want to be equal to men they have to be treated equal as men

      haha, oh, they are "racist" now too?! Nice try, bud. "White guilt" is over, my friend. Stop using "racism" as an excuse. That is slanderous. You have cried wolf too many times. It sounds like YOU applied to become a fire fighter and YOU FAILED. Deal with it. White people do NOT owe you anything.
