As an American, your videos but humble and inspire me. From my perspective, you are so much happier than we as you live so much more modest lives. You provide for yourselves in not only in harsh times, but also as tradition. You appreciate every single thing that you have and at the same time you are willing to share every little bit with the ones you love. This is a notion that seems to be lost here. As a father, Sofia is as cute as could be. Her efforts at English are heartwarming. Seeing moments like that make one reflect. We think we know so much, but we have so much to learn. Be strong, be happy, keep sharing, and please know that the American people support your battle for freedom and democracy.

Great comment sir! It’s so good (and we are so lucky) that there are people like Pavlo who don’t mind sharing a little piece of their world with us! These videos remind me completely of my own childhood, and what my mothers side of the family is like (and for the older generations how they lived). I didn’t appreciate it as a child as I do now, and every opportunity I get to go to where that side of my family is from (and to be enveloped in this lifestyle) is probably the only time in my life nowadays where I can honestly say that I get excited (about anything)...
Far too many of us have lost our way to our roots over the past number of generations, and as much as I am for progress (and made an excellent living as a result of it), I very much miss these simpler times and slower or less complicated means to make ends meet! As strange as it may sound to many to hear it (and even me say it), part of us needs to bring back certain aspects of the past, and do it pronto (before we lose them forever)...
Everyone take care, and give those you love a big ole hug next time you see them! 😊

@@user-te7ln7gn4g You mean thanks Putin don't you? If you believe the rubbish that comes out of the Kremlin, you'd believe anything. But then we all thought the Russian military was a formidable force too. Instead, they just bomb schools and hospitals and civilian infrastructure.

    • @roar666
      @roar666 Рік тому +2

@@user-te7ln7gn4g yes, you understood me... and no, that's not correct. But even if it was, it is in UKRAINE, not Russia. Russia has no right to interfere with another nation, let alone invade it. Putin overstepped, thinking Ukraine would fall over and Zelenskyy would run away. But what this illegal war has shown the world is that Russia has gone back to the days of Stalin. It's a terrible situation which should never have happened, and blame the west all you like, but nobody, and I mean NOBODY wants to invade Russia. You're being fed a whole lot of lies by your Government. It's laughable what Putin and Lavrov say. There will come a time when ordinary Russians realise this. Why do you think your military is having such a bad time? Where do you think the BILLIONS of rubles have gone that were supposed to be going into military funding over the years? Why do you think the new Russian T-14 tank is nowhere to be seen? Or for that matter, the SU-57's jets? Why do you think they are still in prototype after years? Think bro, just think.

This reminds me of what I grew up with. All of my grandparents came to the USA from Poland when they were young. They picked mushrooms and dried them on the woodshed roof. So many words you use I recognize, from them. My dad's parents used an outhouse until the early 1950's, then they had indoor plumbing and used a wood stove for most cooking until the late 60's ! ( my dad's mom loved her wood stove )! etc.,etc. Your video today was a special one Pavlo, and I admire your family life.

"It is tasty petrol". This warms a Norwegian heart! Also, I am having my sister and her twins visiting as our mother/grandmother sadly was overcome by illness this spring. So I as their uncle planning a gingerbread house with the little duo as we celebrate grandmother. I thank you for giving me the design with this happiest of lovely houses both on the outside and with all the heart and human warmth and bravery existing on the inside. It reminds me of a little Pippi Longstockings (Пеппі Довгапанчоха) house.
Your aunt's home is so reminiscent of my "grand-aunt's" place when I grew up (except it was high up on a valley slope here in Norway). With the horse, the "throne with a view" and the well (with the best water ever). Where I grew up, the building material is also wood. In the valleys of Norway, the annual rainfall is on a level with desert nations - so we have 1000-year-old wooden buildings still standing.
Say hi to Sofia (6). She is lovely and she reminded me of how much I long to see Theo and Nova (they are both "just" 4) for Christmas. Her English is pitch-perfect - and with one new word per day she will be fluent in no-time 👍
Your video showed me more human dignity in 20 minutes than I normally get to meet on an entire normal TV Saturday evening. News from Ukraine is sadly (mostly) based on battles and missiles. I am glad to say that the Norwegian Broadcasting Company decided (finally) to place a "civilian foreign correspondent" in Ukraine just 3 days ago. Specifically to report on civilian life in Ukraine under attack. I think this is a very good and timely idea, as it is so easy to forget that lives are being lived and that your brother's newborn was given his name during these terrible times (luckily without him ever remembering this horrifying attack on your nation). I hope and believe that when he grows up, his only childhood memories will be that he was told about how Ukraine with a little help from the world threw out those who arrived with anger and destruction.
A special message to your lovely aunt: My aunt (sister of our recently lost mother) - has been aiming for the American actor Kevin Costner since "Dancing with Wolves". In a race between the two aunts, my five cents are placed on your aunt in that competition.
Finally: Some more good news. I am working part-time in my old local high school these days as I take care of the family home after our mother: On Thursday I was calmly walking towards the entrance of a shop to buy some sparkling water when I was crushed on speed by 5 girls at secondary-school age laughing loudly in their race while speaking teen-age fast in Ukrainian. I hid how happy that made me feel. Trust me - the aim of anyone with a brain over here is to help you to welcome those kids back in happy and great condition.
Teenagers in all nations have had a rough time with lockdowns and separation from friends etc for way too many years already. I wish that young kids filled with life visiting from Ukraine right now never feel stuck. (your aunt's house made me feel my own safe and happy childhood, thus I am rambling it seems). Thanks.

Thank you all, I am Peter, Really enjoy your family video. I'm 76 years old,I live in USA, I am from England, I grew up in similar place like you. I came to USA years ago to live in Florida. I wish you were not in danger from the war. I watch news every day.I was born just after war was finished with Germany, so I have known hard life similar to you but not as difficult as your family. Hope you will have peace soon so you can once again have safe life.God bless you all and thank you again, I look forward to see more of your video.

I am a 53 year old male from Texas, USA. I am married and my wife probably wouldn't let me come to Ukraine, but your aunt seems like a very nice and funny woman....any guy would be lucky to have her. I live in a city and buy all my things from a supermarket...but I can remember growing up, my grandparents and their parents before them used to grow, raise, and hunt most of their food. Seeing Ukrainian country people reminds me of people from my past.

You're aunt is an incredible woman! I wish I was even half as industrious as her. Also, it's funny she challenged American builders. Most of the construction laborers in my state (Texas) are Mexicans. 😆

You are fighting evil for yourself and for us,... your people are fighting for freedom so we don't have to lose our boys and girls. I honor you all. And thank you in Jesus Name.

So good to see generations still enjoying life, as life was meant to be enjoyed. Though I think you need to update them roads Pavlo, as them pot holes look mighty deep and I'd hate to screw up my allows and springs travelling at speed to reach Auntie's house for Soup and Bread. Cheers for sharing and holding back the tears.

Wood heating, garden, few chickens, milk cow, lovely family. It's kind of ideal. Ukraine needs to keep this. We largely lost this way of life in the states but my Dad indeed grew up on a farm. I bet the kids move to the city there just like what happened here.
