I mean.. if you want a hard reboot with no Astruc involvement, you can always watch the movie.. i'm fairly certain we'll see our queen return in the second one
Great video! The fact that Chloe doesn’t get redeemed and Gabriel gets one while Gabriel did worse stuff than her just shows Thomas is full of hypocrisy and pettiness. Also good redemption arc done right is Amber from Sofia the First. She’s starts out acting mean towards Sofia but gradually overtime she becomes a better person. Also can you talk about Marinette? She also been wasted by bad writing as well.
No matter what the man-baby does to Chloe's character, he can NEVER make me hate her!! In all seriousness, if Thomas hadn't screwed up Chloe's character arc for petty reasons [known very well to the fandom], the show could've been great. Low-key, the main reason most people consider S2 to be peak Miraculous was because of Chloe slowly becoming a better person, and if Chloe stayed as Queen Bee, it would've taught kids that, 'In life you majority of the times, you aren't going to work with your friends. You WILL have to work with people who dislike/hate or find difficult to work with.' The nutshell explanation is that, 'Don't take your feelings to work and learn some professionalism.' Also, I find it so hypocritical of Thomas and his fictional daughter to say that Chloe doesn't deserve a miraculous because of x and y reasons when • Despite the Miracle Queen fiasco, Ladybug still lets everyone of her yes-men [friends] and ex-boyfriend use their Miraculous. • Ladybug still gave Kim [the guy who apparently gave her trauma] a miraculous, same with Sabrina. • Marinette/Ladybug uses her powers' selfish reasons. Also • Gabriel committed so many awful crimes, and he got a redemption arc. • Andre the Mayor did some horrible things, and he got a redemption arc. • Felix committed genocide, S/A Ladybug in his debut episode, helped Hawkmoth steal the Miraculous and stalked Kagami, and he got a redemption Why can't Chloe, a 13/14 year old girl get one?! Also, noticed how two of them are adults.
I bet he had very little to do with season two's writing and that's another reason why it was good. And ya, it makes no sense how adults can commit crimes and still get redemptions but Chloe can't. You're right, his reasoning is so circular.
Exactly. Great points. I think Marinette's character is butchered from the start when they made her a stalker... wtf. She's probably one of my most disliked characters, very unsufferable and abuses her power for selfish reasons. Disgusts me and reeks of written by incel... Haha. I mean, that reflects the creators' view I guess. Because every time they get backlash, the show creators just double down and act in the most unprofessional and petty way ever.... no matter if the person on the other side is a kid or if they were polite and constructive. They need to stop using social media so much. I must also add by Thomas telling fans that Alya's friendship to Marinette didn't really matter because ML's focus was on the romance explained another reason ML sucks, every man is for themselves, and that actually ruins the love square romance than making it succeed...
@@rosafloera You know what bugs me about Thomas..? When someone presents criticisms [valid/non-valid], Thomas ALWAYS had this standoffish behaviour, especially when you criticism/question his writing decision. I remember the man-child made a comment about him having the best animators and being better than Disney/Pixar, and someone polite called him out, Thomas decided to be offended and blocked her. With the progress of Miraculous, I've always noticed this weird favouritism and flanderization for Marinette's character. Despite being one of the two main leads, Marinette's presence can be exhaustion, especially with the known fact she's a part of EVERY PLOTLINE, especially in plots where she doesn't need to be present at all. Honestly, I'll just stick to the MLB comics and fanfics because they did a way better job of giving the characters and story more depth than the actual series. Hell, I've even decided, just for funsies to write my own version of Miraculous and, according to the folks who read and messaged me about the few episodes that I've published, is better than Miraculous. The only way for Miraculous to redeem itself is a revamping reboot and getting Thomas away from the scripts.
She's in all the stories because she's the main character this isn't an esemble cast if you don't like a show with one lead that sounds like a this show isn't for you problem
I get that thez wanted Chloe to fall back to begin the villain, to show sheąs not mature to deserve a miraculous but please. This could have been done better. Or be the fallback so she could realise her mistakes later on. But I cannot blame Chloe who was left behind really. Noone talked to her, and she never questioned for a moment her actions. I know it would be out of character but she trusted Ladzbug once. When she lost that trustz she went into down road spiral so much, that it made her ireadeemable. Not cuz it make's sense, but because the sertiant person wanted to get revenge on someone they knew 40 years ago. Wow... But they redeemed Felix and he also revealed his identity in public! And he was a psycho! There's no reason to keep him in the team! WHy not do the same to Chloe? Or give her the Kuro Neko treatment? I hate this episode but it gave me an idea. Chloe could go under diffrent allias. Not a Queen Bee anymore but she could still get redemption and do what she loved. Saving Paris with Ladybug. She could be a Vasperia 2.0 sience Zoe is so mid...or BeeGirl or Bumblebee or a name like that.
I didn't even know that they gave Felix of all people a redemption. I agree, the could have written her regression better if that's the path they wanted her to take.
@@thexreaderspeaks Yeah. Instead they just repeated "look how mean she is"! And her siding with Lila? Lila proved her before that she was a manipulator! Why would she trust her? Insurance maybe? Ok but the goal of it begin her becoming a mayor is all kinds of stupid. She's 16 teen. Where they're trying to make a Gideon from Gravity falls? It would maybe work if she would be a top mayor and betrailed Lila, and not side with Monarch. Still a bad plot twist.
Kagami and Luka. They had potential, and were even smart comparing to others, but they were debuffed in order to not take the spotlight from Mari+Adrian dynamic.
Great video presented in an easy to understand format. Just a little hard to hear you, the audio seems to be muffled. ML creators are such hypocrites, they would rather redeem Gabriel because Vinny Pain relates to him (he had really weird pedo behaviour) but Chloe must be a villain because Thomas says so.
@rosa_floera Also, they technically redeemed Sabrina. Remember, she did horrible things to Marinette as well, and is just as bad as Chloe and even worse at times, but she gets away scot-free all because she couldn't take the pressure. [Making it worse, the S5 finale she got a miraculous. Same with Kim, you know the guy who apparently gave her trauma]. ☠️
Thank you and sorry about that. I added captions and I'll be recording my next video using a mic so hopefully that will help. And you're so right, ML creators really are super hypocritical its frustating
@@UnholyGrave834 I'm convinced they pulled that trauma backstory for Marinette out of their posteriors (coz I can't use certain words) tbh. Their character writing is so bad it's laughable. I wouldn't be surprised if hypocrisy is their favorite pastime

I've watched videos about it but I'll get round to actually watching it one of these days.
@@thexreaderspeaks whole heartedly recommend it. It's really good. The miraculous i've been asking for Since 2017

Ya if Amber could do it, so can Chloe. And I will talk about Marinette, I have a lot to say about her.

@thexreaderspeaks Thomas didn't work on S2. See Thomas went on vacation to write S3-S5 and left the other writers to work on S2.

Adrien… He is also destroyed by Thomas

the guardian su-han, i mean i though he could teach the main characters a developed and a true trust, but no they decide to throw that.
