I drive a truck in the United States (Volvo VNL760), the sleeper is around 80 plus inches in length, along with plenty of storage space, cabinets, etc. It's quite comfortable, but I stay on the road for months at a time and hardly ever go home. Your sleep area looks comfortable, but I hope it is. I'll trade you for a few trips if I can drive!
I find it interesting how you drive a Volvo and he's flying a SAS A330. SAS is based in Norway/Sweden/Denmark/Finland(?) and Volvo has its headquarters in Sweden. It's like you were meant to leave this comment.

Theres too many complexities tied to electric industrial equipment, and semis are very heavily weight restricted. look at a small indoor electric forklift for example. it will do a 6-8 hour shift, however it only goes about 15-20km/h, yet the battery usually weighs about 3000lbs. the entire drive line on a truck weighs about that much. Maybe in smaller urban centres it will take off, but I dont ever see it making its way into long haul

@@CameleonClyde Not for the plane. If the autopilot should disconnect which it rarely does you can easily fly manual. I have not experienced it for 10 years on Airbus. The only problem with turbulence, even violent, is when passengers and crew are walking around in the cabin. They can bump into something and get hurt. Also if you have heavy not secured carts out in the cabin. That's why you should sit down with your belt fastened and then it's no problem. 👍🏼🙂

These videos almost make me cry. I have always been afraid to fly. I still am. But the confidence and professionalism displayed by pilots, and videos like these, not only help alleviate my fears (even though I know they can’t control everything) but they have furthered my goals of confronting my fears and embracing getting my own Pilot’s license, because I’ve always been fascinated by flight, just had to confront my fears by watching (what I consider) heroes. It all started with my brother-in-law who had never flown a plane commercially but whom has launched many planes off an Aircraft-Carrier as a Navy officer, but when my niece Claire was about to be born, he commandeered a flight to watch her birth. They later took a photo of themselves and framed what they called the “Claire-plane.” 😊 thanks for this insight , and god bless-your skills and insight ❤️

Airwipe. Of what i know, you have to take the A330 and the A350 type rating. But when both is completed, the LPC/OPC simulator training (revalidation) is the same rating. So when Björn is allowed to fly A330 with PAX (by the 90 days rule) he is also allowed to fly the A350.
@@airwipe1639 manufacturers usually try to layout cockpits the same, and I suspect they try to make the aircraft perform relatively similar. The bell 206 and 407 are the same rating in canada

Yes flying is VERY expensive and you need to be highly intelligent to complete the IREX and ATPL. Still my advice remains. Don't choose flying planes as a career. Become a medical doctor and fly for recreation.

KCASC_ HD they aren’t waterproofed, in the A350 there has been more than 5 times they have to divert due to liquid being spilt on the pedestal, google them.

I work at an airport on Long Island NY. It’s not as big/busy as JFK or LGA but still gets jet traffic. I always enjoy watching these simple little videos on what being a pilot for an A330/340 is like. Keep up the content, it’s always enjoyable!

@shammy keyz They can't eat at the same time, as they have to still manage and overlook the aircraft and communicate/comply with ATC and the Captain usually lets the first/second officer to eat first

@shammy keyz They can't eat at the same time, as they have to still manage and overlook the aircraft and communicate/comply with ATC and the Captain usually lets the first/second officer to eat first

Has to be A330 if he's rated to fly A330, A340 (4 engines) and A350 (much bigger displays).
A330 I think. He says so at one point (viewing the crew rest area)
