Nice job on the room, it looks great! Sounds like you and I have been doing this for about the same amount of time, I grew up around it because my dad and older brother were into it and I started building my own speakers in the mid 70's. We're both out done by my friend Brian however, he started about the age we did and he's now 94 and still into it. Looking forward to continued updates!
As soon as I see the position of the stereos, this guy probably favours two channel music or at least enjoys a good sound stage. Yes, boundary interference from nearby walls can and does certainly stifle the sound stage. Even though I have dirac live, I, too, are not into chats or measurements. Prefer to use the things on the side of the head. Would've been nice to have a look around the back. Always love to see what kind of cables people are using. Just so one can imagine what kind of noise floor one is putting up with. Thanks for the walkthrough.
Two channel is my priority, I put a lot of effort into choosing and placing equipment. I’m very happy with the end result. The cabling is a work in progress, primarily Audioquest.
Did you say what the component next to your music streamer is....the one with all the beautiful display...not sure what you call that display with all the lights...its just cool looking, lol....beautiful system and room.
If I ran them without calibrating them or just turned up the volume, it definitely would. But they blend in well as they are set up. The bass is clean, powerful but well controlled.
@@gregbartley2475 I've had the JBL SDP-55 since release and it has been the most disappointing premium piece of gear I've ever owned. Between continuous firmware snags at release to random loss of audio, to a noisy, ungrounded XLR board, the list goes on and on. But when it plays nice, it has a beautiful sound.
Wow very impressive set up , must sound and looks amazing ! 🤩
Thanks!

If I’m lucky enough to live that long I’ll still be at it! I’m sure you can say the same.
Hey Greg, fellow N.E. Ohioan love your setup!
Thanks!
@@gregbartley2475 was just telling a friend from Dayton how much I miss Audio Craft downtown cleveland.
Love the setup. Looks super clean!
Thanks, I appreciate that
Great video. Well done!
Thank you.

Would love to hear Surrounded by Tipper on that system
Dayum, if i had your money, I'd throw mine away! 😮

I believe that is the streamer, Eversolo DMP-A6
@gregbartley2475 yes you're right..
That is beautiful...expensive but beautiful.
a protractor lol that made me subscibe
lol, am I right?
Hi what are the amps I didn’t catch the mono block model & brand ?
Musical Fidelity M8-700m
Greg- question- what amplifier are you using for your center channel? Same as each of the 7Ts? Thank you
@@soniclink8960 No. Musical Fidelity M8-700 monoblocks on the 7T’s, Rotel RMB-1095 on the CC. I do now have the matching CC for the 7T’s.
@@gregbartley2475 ah okay- so the Rotel powers the center and your surrounds?
@@soniclink8960 4 of the surrounds, I have 2 sets of sides and rears. Also, 4 Atmos.
will the subs interfere with the rest of the sound because there’s so many of them and they are so powerful?

What made you go with the JBL SDP-55? I know it's had some bad press. Any issues thus far?
I know Anthem is probably the popular choice, can’t say exactly why I went with Jbl. Mine hasn’t had any issues in 3+ years.

@@billmisencik5234 I heard the early production models were problematic. That’s inexcusable. Mine has been fine.
Is that a pair of DCM Timeframe 600
400 I think
@@gregbartley2475 I still have my DCM 600s I bought back in 92...they still rock
@@frankkniseley9951I also have a pair of Klipsch kg4’s and ESS AMT-1c’s in another system. I love this stuff.
Streaming is never going to be as good as a CD for music. But nice room.
