Good play! But looking at the scene at/from 4:50 or 4:53, where the soldier is stuck in a tree with his parachute, I wonder how long he had been hanging there before getting killed. Was he just hanging there, waiting for help? You can see he has a knife or bayonet on his chest when the camera moves closer, he could have used it to cut the parachute ropes. If he had just landed, got stuck in the tree, and immediately fell into an ambush, it would make sense that he was killed because he had no time to help himself. However, if he had been hanging there for a while, thinking about how to get out or waiting for help, it feels like the director wasn’t being very realistic or creative with the scene.
