There are very few UA-cam channels where you click Like before even watching the video but this is most certainly one of them. Amazing metal detecting trips every time presented in such a professional and yet human way. Long may it continue.
Perfect approach!
Agree 100%. 🙂. Metal detectorist here with decades under my belt and Hans is top of my you tube detecting channels to watch. 🤗.
Yeheah! We agree, quality always perfection.
Hans, "The Path" has become one of my favorite spots you film, green & lush, almost fairy-like. "The Path" is the storyteller & you are turning the pages. It has unknowingly become the treasure itself. Thank you!
Such a great comment
It a Hohlweg (hollowpath), not a deep one, but those paths have been hollowed out by centuries of walking and horse riding. To me the overhänging foliage makes then so fairy like. Some are like tunnels. Also fu. to ride them with the bike. We have some very deep, up to 4-5m paths here between small towns and up to the castles in Hessen.
Sí, solo falta que aparezcan los duendes!
Abrazo fraterno desde Aluminé, en la Patagonia! 🤗
thank you for your lovely comment, pamela :) i love this site, too. with or without the finds :)
When I turn on my computer and there is a new video from you I know it's going to be a good day, Hans. Thank you for this, enjoyable as always.
We agree! When you see a video from TerraGermania is always a great day. Refreshing, calming, and exciting all at the same time.
Amazing treasures among God's beautiful creation. Just stunning.
So enjoy the time along with you.
We are so happy that you are posting videos regularly again. I love that tiny glass button! The Deus 2 is so good a sniffing out the smallest finds. And yes, those electric fences are a pain!
Thanks Hans, No.200 next, lets hope you find something marvellous! Nice to see a red squirrel, they are very rare in the UK these days, a Victorian introduced the larger grey squirrel from Northern America and it out competes the red squirrel sadly. Interesting to see a Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) in the last shot, they are not an indigenous tree to the UK.
Yes I heard they introduced our aggravating grey squirrel there. They also introduced the north American raccoon to Europe. They range now from Germany through Russia now.
We have the red, grey and now black squirrels here in Northern New England. The red ones survive well by sticking to the forest while the greys prefer yards and gardens.
You have one of the best MD channels on youtube. Great job and thank you.
Enjoyed watching, thank you Hans and that little Red Squirrel was beautiful.
That old path got a trove of treasure to surprise everyone . .... no matter how often you dig, it has always something to offer . Keep on Hans... more power..
Guten Tag, mein frueind (sp?), thanks for sharing, good finds for sure! Hope all's well with everyone/thing. Keep up the good work and vids. Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 😇🙏👊
The squirrel and the metal detectorist, both digging in the ground to find treasure. Hopefully the footpath never ends. Thank you for another great episode Hans!
So sweet!
Never miss an episode and am never disappointed. Thanks!
Hallo!
I love those funny looking squirrels too! He's digging at himself like my GSD. lol.
They're called Abert's squirrels or tassle earred squirrels. They're cooler looking than our boring greys but this year I have 2 all white squirrels and the basic black ones. Abert's look like mad scientists.
@@getin3949 No, they are a different species: sciurus vulgaris, common European squirrel. Colours ranging from reddish brown to black.
@@getin3949 I had to look up Abert's squirrels. Beautiful creatures. We don't have them in Europe, but that is good. Some idiots imported grey squirrels to Europe, they are cute too, but they can carry a disease our squirrels cannot cope with.
@@getin3949 I have a place with a huge number of red oak trees and the squirrels, My God, the squirrels. Red, black, brown and every phase in between.
Always a pleasure, Hans, and I appreciate your bringing us along on your foot path holidays. Cool finds, though it is the journey more than the destination. Thanks again
Thanks for another enchanted forest calming therapy session, Hans.
Great day out, Hans. So really nice finds. ✌️👍🦘🇦🇺🦘
I just Googled Karl Theodor von Dalberg.
He was a Catholic German bishop and statesman.
RIP Karl.
5:33 Some golfer gave that Callaway ball a mighty whack
to get it all the way there from Carlsbad, California!
always the best .thank you
Hans, when you asked about finds being on the slope next to the path, ive noticed the same thing. I believe that people sit and rest, take breaks and sit on uphill side for convenience. Also they move there to get out of the way of other horse/buggy travelers, or other people utilizing the road...Thats what I've picked up over the years anyway! Thanks for vidros!
Hello Hans👋 Nice work! Really enjoyed the 'path'. The Red Squirrel on the thorny branch was awesome. 👍
Don't stress about not doing live finds. I (and possibly we) watch for the whole video and your presentation.

Really enjoyed this ,as always never seen a squirrel like that before. How does a golf ball end up in that forest? So funny,I thought you would dig up a golf club!🇨🇦👍
Another great episode from the footpath, I really liked the shield button, more soon please!
Your nature shots are the best. (Squirrels are so cute.) The Tombac button is my favorite find. It is unusual to find them with a design on. I'm not much of an outdoor person but, I can appreciate how pretty that path is. Be well and take care.
So much passion!
Always a joy. Thankyou.
Thanks for sharing your adventure, Hans! I love your videos ! 👍👍
Good hunt. Last time I saw wild red squirrels was in 1966. We had a pair and drey in a mature elm tree in our farm's garden in Kernow. UK Reds are gone now along with all mature elms.
Hans, the buckle is my favorite. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼LL
keep going Hanz you are amazzing super finds as ever brian south U/K
LOVE your videos! Amazing videography, you really get the beauty of the landscape out. And the interesting information you provide is very much appreciated. :)
Bye Bye, Totsiens and Auf Wiedersehn. Totsiens is our South African Afrikaans greeting! Love The Old Footpath with it's great treasures and beautiful nature.
Beautiful’ as usual… wonderful finds!❤❤❤
Great dig love the beautiful buttons and 1808 Kreuzer! I used to live in Weisbaden for four years Terra, when I was a kid..wish I had a metal detector back then!
I think the squirrel is the find of the day but the silver Kreuzer makes good 2nd place.
Thank you for annother wonderful aventurë hans
Thank you for todays video. I was just on your site yesterday watching some old videos. I don't care if you dig up trash, I enjoy the videos and not all live digs have to be treasure. Cheers
Great video!
Impeccable videography as usual!
If you are in good with the landowner with the electric fence, maybe he could turn it for your hunting. The livestock are probably already trained to it.
Even with the Deus II, a nearby electric fence will pulsate with regularity regardless of settings to avoid it.
Hi Hans, thank for sharing another great video with some nice finds on this wonderful path. The silver coin and the buckle were fantastic finds, the small glass item may have been part of a finger ring or brooch. Thanks again and take care 👍😀👋 Tony
Wow! 199 videos, Congratulations you’re amazing !
Hello Hans, another great hunt and some wonderful finds. Watching from Athens, Georgia. Your friend, Harold
Thanks for another wonderful video Hans. One day it would be interesting for you to do a video on how you store and display your finds, and your greatest hits. Long time follower from New Zealand.
Another nice video Hans. Those silver Kreuzer really have the appearance of coins from the mid 1600’s. I’m always surprised by the date of those.
When you complete the path you can always detect off path at large toilet trees.
Great episode. Looking forward to your 200 episode and I really hope you find the one thing you have dreamed of finding . Please tell us what that could be . Cheers
You really enjoy your hobby and the historical revelry.
Lovely finds! The path world is sooooo beautiful!
A very Good Morning from the Treasure Coast of Florida. Nive to join you ❤
Thanks for uploading!
always good to see your videos. Thank you.
Another great adventure in a beautiful area! Thanks so much for bringing us along!
Great finds but I especially love the glass button & ponder on the garment it belonged to...I'm envisioning a light silk tapestry jacket or vest.
Oh Hans, that path way is from the detecting Gods! Thanks as usual from the UK, cheers, John.
Great seeing your videos appear in my feed!
Lovely as ever Hans... That little Tombac button is sweet hey? I find lots of Tombac around Cheshire, (Northwest UK), but few are as decorative as your one there... Thanks again my friend, Bobby 🐭
Love being in a fairytale!miss you man.
Another nice hunt. That glass insert button is beautiful.
Always interesting videos and a pleasure to watch
Thank you for another great video!

* at the end
Great old finds .Keep on going down that neet trail 😊😊
Great video. Thanks from Australia again, Hans. Best wishes.
Such interesting finds and you have very pleasant presentation. One small thin;g we would probably describe the glass as inset rather than inlaid. Thanks for posting.
I’d be very happy with those finds too. Best wishes.
Exquisite as ever. Lovely finds.
,,,.... land o' lakes,wi,,,usa....here for my favorite detecting site..
We always enjoy your videos. To be surrounded by so much history must be amazing!
Nice approach!

Hans, thanks for another amazing video! Loved the cute squirrel ❤
Great fun watching this episode, so neat you take a moment to film the natural beauty as well as those cool finds 😉🇨🇦
Greetings Hans, thank you for another lovely video. I did wonder if you were going to unearth a golf club there for a moment...
In case anybody every wondered where the German Name "Hans" comes from: It's short for Johannes or Johann - what is of course John in English, Giovanni in Italian, Jean in French, Ivan in Russian and all of the others. And our Hans here is actually very young to bear that name, it's died out pretty much.
Thanks for sharing this video. The military button was my favorite find today 🙂👍
Thank you for another wonderful adventure. I would have to say that I find that buckle quite interesting. Thank you.
Such a lovely and serene place. The little squirrel is so sweet. God bless
So quiet.. amazing!
Thanks for sharing!
Another superb video.
