I forgot to mention in this video: taxes! Not monthly but still important to think about especially if you do freelance work like me - I do pay in quarterly so I’m not slammed with a big surprise at the end of the year. So another thing to think about, is if you already have them taken out, great, and if you don’t, set money aside to pay into taxes! Ok, LOVE YALL! Stay safe and happy out there!!!

If you are self employed you may be eligible to open up a solo 401K (if you don't already have one) that could help decrease your tax burden.
Regarding investments, make sure you start a Roth IRA and fund it to the max each year. In your retirement years you'll be saved from keeping endless tax records for every little stock purchase or sale. Likewise with a 401k or Regular IRA, but they will be taxable in the distant future.
I'd like to do your taxes......if you know what I mean.

Wow! 😍 two of the most adorable beings I have ever seen on YT! You are such an inspiration to me! I don’t hate my job but this working eight hours a day just to pay bills is not ideal for a man that is so in love with nature! I have seriously been thinking of living out of my 2004 trailblazer… I have three mountain bikes and this means I will have to sell two of them since I have had one from 1996 that has a lot of sentimental value to me since it was my first real mountain bike and got me into the hobby that I love! The other two are actually new bikes that I have purchased this year and one is a hard-core trail bike that I love and the other is more of a cross country bike that I have been holding onto until my 12 year old son grows into it… I bought it and put blue pedals and blue grips on it to match the blue on its color scheme because blue is his favorite color but I am so inspired by you and camper I am 51 years old and Only get to ride my bikes on the weekends, and go camping on the weekends, I have to do what you do! I have talked about it for so many years to my friends and family and they just roll their eyes but I so need to find work that I can do while living on the road but I will not give up until I am there! You are such a humble person and so unselfish for someone who has accomplished sooooo much. This budget breakdown was awesome and no doubt you will encourage more people to not be afraid to pursue car or van dwelling for a lifestyle change or as a financial strategy to pay off debts.
You’re genuinely a great person. I love your give back fund and your desire to chase the experiences in life instead of money or the typical rat race of life. I feel you have reached a great point and are truly living. Most people can’t say that. Thanks for inspiring myself and others and sharing it along the way!
P.S. I used to have the same model of Prius, and it was easily the best car I’ve ever owned. It never left me stranded and was EXTREMELY cost effective to own.
My wife and I also give 50 dollars every once and a while at our vet to help people who may not have money to take care of there pup.

lol he might have been a run away from a tourist and she basically stole him. I would assume that before i assumed they abandoned him. People don't usually take their dogs to places like that when they wanna get rid of them.
exactly. people keep saying how terrible his other owners were and they probably went looking for him and couldn't find him...cuz he was stolen😅
@@imthirstyh2o330 who cares about the reason, he was in the middle of nowhere. Would it be good for you for him to be left there "in case his owners started looking for him?" I would have done the same thing and got him out of there. Lost, dumped who cares. Her taking him guarantees he doesn't die. Think.

I love that you saved this adorable animal. The day you found him, he must have been so hungry and yet off he went on that hike. What a heart he has. True but the story about how Camper came to be in her life does seem miraculous. Chasing her car down following her through the trail and back to her car. I believe God was a factor. Definitely a miraculous incident 💚

My question is that Camper was obviously someone's pet who got lost. Did she try to find the owner or report to authorites she found this dog. That dog could have been some little kids dog that helped him with emotional problems. Or did she just decide it was a abandoned dog & not try to find who's pet it was? My guess is she never tried to find who's pet it was.
People need to understand the difference between I need it / I want it. And please people put some money aside... pay yourself first.

@@michellerains2732 We have "Snow Birds" which both refers to the color of their hair, and that they move seasonally. This groups includes those living in large trailers/campers as well as two home and rental folks.
@@garyp.7501 I've never heard Snowbirds referencing the color of their hair, but I am from the midwest (north of Chicago, south of Canada) and we get a lot of snow in the winter, as well as freezing cold temperatures. So I always thought of the Snowbirds as retired folks who escape the snow to warmer climates during the harsh months, but "migrate" back to the midwest in the summer to be with family, friends, community, and enjoy the endless perks of lakes, woods, beauty, and being home. Basically they "fly south" for the winter, just like the birds. And often have communities in 2 regions.
My kiddos love the show 'Bluey'. There's an entire episode about Grey Nomads. It's hilarious.

I'm overwhelmed by your joy! It's so refreshing to see this and so heartfelt I felt so weepy, especially seeing your friends little dog. Also, you have to. remember Camp picked you and your mom. yes I'm sure he was hungry and hurt but he's still with you receiving the love and care that he should have received at birth. He was probably dropped off where you found him which for him was a blessing because now he has you. I wish the men and women were more like you and teach their children the same. Our nation could grow, people could have food on their tables and affordable health care would be the norm.
Please do a video on how you manage to do the stuff you love while still having camper. For example, what do you do with him when you travel, how do you go paddle boarding, rockclimbing, how do you keep him safe in the car, etc. Would be really useful.

I am so glad you have a fund for helping out. You know it doesn’t cost anything to volunteer. We loaded 750 families with food yesterday at a Food Bank distribution and built 300 family meals at the warehouse today. So everyone out there the need is great for pet foster parents and adoption as well as families struggling. Be safe Yay Camper

Another great topic, I think Panera Breads offers unlimited coffee for $9 per month with first three months free. If you come across Panera very often during travel then this might be an option to look into. Setting up a donation fund to help pets/ humans is a great thing.

We make things move without pushing or pulling while making babbling sounds interspersed with their name and the few words they understand. My favorite was when I reached out to a pup and static sparked from my magical finger to zap her nose. Her eyes conveyed her hurt, "Why'd ya do that??"

Camper is so cute , one of the keys to financial freedom is investing wisely .. i bought a Maserati at 24 , enjoy life and keep inspiring young people all over the world .
Excellent video. I do my finances the same way. I retired at 48 because I'm really good at managing money and knowing how to live well on very little and was always a saver. I'm still saving money and I always will. I moved from Jersey to Florida and it's amazing how much cheaper it us to keep a house going in Florida. Plus the weather here is so much nicer and there's so much to do outdoors here. There are over 170 state parks in Florida and the yearly pass is $60. There are also many county and town parks here too. Many of which have public bathrooms and shower. Princess Place Preserve in Flagler county is open to the public from 7am to 6pm and there's public showers. Camping is a fee. You can definitely find free showers and clear that bill completely if you can find the places that have free showers. They're definitely out there. There's another county park that's open 24hrs because I fish there at night. No camping but you have a car so you can just park in the lot. I never used the bathrooms there so I can't confirm if there are showers. Enjoy your journey and God bless! You must be having a blast?
