Wow. I've not seen a Grasshopper for years! I had one of those when I was little! Great memories of driving that around my parents garden, and making jumps for it. 😊 Mine was just white though, not gold/bronze.
Im currently building a green GH. Only Im going to use an aluminum chassis, trans, shocks, side nerf bars, front bar, trans mounts, green anodized aluminum rims, aluminum A-arms and spindles and anything else I see aluminum. LOL. It will be the ultimate GGH.
@@captainchaos3053 Not really. I haven't weighed it but I suspect it only is a few ounces heavier. Even the gear train is all 7075 aluminum. I dont have a scale so I cant measure it. However, it looks marvelous. LOL
Excellent job on putting you're own personal touch on that grasshopper. Came out good I like it . I always wondered what it would look like without the bumper and I like it great looking buggy for sure.
very cool "Dune" Dune buggy 😉 Interesting method to modify the headlights. Blinded by leds is not funny. My fast method is to fill it with hotglue. The Led is fixed and the light is scattered. great grasshopper 👍
Beautiful build! I love tte air brush. I need to buy one and learn it. I also loved the dust color. Learned something new there. Thank you 👍 i like your guy driving. Everything turned out great
Getting some good memories out of this! Grown up in the 80s, this makes me think about Megaforce and The Delta Force movies. And that toy buggy I had from G.I. Joe/Action Force... A lot of force in the 80s😂
Great looking dune buggy, well done! May I ask you what light pods/buckets those are, you say they're from Tamiya. Do you have a part number? Oh yes, and your diffusor technique works phenomenally well.
Thanks for the compliments! The light pods are available as: Tamiya 54972 RC Buggy Light Pod Set For LEDs. It has two pairs of rectangular pods and two pairs of rounds ones with lens. Have a good one 👍
Yes I did use brushless. What’s not shown in the video is that I used an AVC receiver to help correct oversteer and I think that made it easier to drive. Thanks for your comments!
Those grasshopper transmissions are as bulletproof as they get, frequently used for monster trucks in Tamiya lineup. If anything breaks, it won't be that. A front suspension arm maybe, but not the trans.
very cool and the eyes are really really good. I did build a starwars Lada ;) but my inspiration came from an actual car. Still need to film it.
good job. you can be a brilliant movie set designer.

Same. Thing was indestructible and absolute blast.
I've not have the chance to own any when I was younger. But I've been making up to myself and buying more now. Thanks for commenting!
It's amazing how it drives given the simple and primitive suspension / drivetrain. Thanks for commenting have have a great weekend!
Great job!

Wow that brings back memories. With modern brushless motors/batteries you could grenade that thing in record time :p

Really nice build!
Glad you like it! Thanks for your comment!
looks sick!!
Haha, thanks!
Great job👍
Thanks so much!
It looks OK
But if you added a torsion bar suspension to the front
It would of cleaned up the front, giving you a cleaner, more realistic look
Hadn't thought of that, but interesting idea! It would sure remove the front springs and clean up the look. Thanks for the comment!
